Just the default Warp Drive + Tau linked next to it lets me jump so much more.

Got to build Sigma and Theta next..no Blueprint for Omega yet.

Is it toxic rain? If not, count your blessings.

Toxic, but I could stay out awhile.

Made it to an e class star that has gold stardust.

Just curious, has anyone seen predators actively hunting or feeding on other fauna?

I came across a pack of herbivore creatures feeding in a field earlier and watched them for a while, it was actually interesting...they kind of formed up and moved as if they were weary of predators. I was waiting for an ambush or something but it never came lol.

Yeah, I saw a dog size carnivore head butt one of the little rodent like creatures killing it.

Just scope out a predator from afar and watch. It's your own safari!

I would use it to knock four birds with one stone

Find all animals on planet
Kill a shit ton of sentinels
farm a lot of rare items (vortex cubes, graviton balls, etc)
survive extreme condition

That would mean finding an extreme situation (sentinals or environment) that is riddled with the rare items. typically every single planet riddled with those items are set to extreme sentinel conditions

The extreme planet I found is a barren wasteland with frenzied sentinels. So I'm just going to sit here for 8 hours while I'm working and get my gold trophy.

You want the Plasma Launcher tech. It rules, will become your L1 (X for me because Bumper Jumper 4 lyfe)

There are a few upgrades that can do it. I've been using the grenade launcher. Really handy for when you get lost in caves. Just make your own exit.

Shit! I just don't have enough space.

9 slots.

Mining Beam - Damage Upgrade - Strength Upgrade - Railgun Upgrade
Scanner - Visor Thing - Range Extender - Scanner Upgrade don't remember
Reload Upgrade/Coolant thing to recharge faster

I REALLY need more slots. I need to add at least one more beam upgrade to make either reloading faster or the beam itself last longer (if that's possible, it feels like my beam don't last for shit since adding the Railgun thing to make it damage doors and Sentinels), and then I need grenades apparently so I can blow holes in the ground.

Metallic balls? Haven't seen any O.o

Unless you mean the thing you interact with? Hrm.

Nope, they're just big golden balls that are sometimes found at ruin sites. They're either beside the ruin or on the actual ruin structure, and can be moved independently. No option to interact with them.

I pushed one across a planet for a few minutes just for the novelty of it, letting it roll down hills and off cliffs and meleeing it/shooting it to make it move. While it may be a glitch, I haven't seen anything else like it in the game, and I have come across at least half a dozen of these while hopping around ruins on different planets.

I got the game yesterday and I'm enjoying it.

Tonight I discovered a plentiful amount of Emeril outside of a outpost.

Full vid: https://youtu.be/mIdj2IVUahw

Cliffs:
0:36 - Discovery of element
1:00-11:05 - Mining frenzy
11:06 - 14:21 - Escape + cash out

On another planet, I found a
AquaSphere
after finding a underwater checkpoint.

Here's a vid of the discovery: https://youtu.be/0M5aXTLVmnA?t=7m28s
I'm very interested in
aquaspheres
. They sell for as much, or more depending on the system, as the valuable "forbidden" collectibles, but don't aggro the sentinels. If you have good underwater breathing tech and find the right planet it could be pretty legit.

I've got 12 slots on mine. Just went with a range increase for the scanning visor, a bunch of beam upgrades for mining and combat, then the grenade launcher. Does the trick until I find one of the big multitools.

So I got a Jetpack upgrade.

In the description it's telling me that I need top put it alongside my original jetpack but there's no free spots right next to my actual jetpack? Does it just mean I can put it anywhere in the inventory?

Also why can't we move around the upgrade stuff since there's actual benefit from putting them next to each other? If you build it in the wrong spot you're screwed...

Don't hesitate to dismantle tech you don't outright need to make room for that which you do. Your multitool and ship in this game are meant to feel very transient & purpose-driven.

Move that Zinc and stick the Life Support Sigma underneath the stock Life Support dude, they'll couple and you'll get a boost.

Yeah I figured, I just use those things constantly. I tried to have the Boltcaster on there for a while but as soon as I found out you can upgrade the mining beam to fuck shit up I ditched it right away.

I want to upgrade my phase beam so bad but I need to wait until I get a bigger ship.

It's really worth it, you barely have to aim and can keep hitting ships as you are chasing them and they leave your field of view. Pretty sure it has a longer range too.

I grabbed a 25 slot ship, called it a day, and beefed it up. I have 38 suit spaces (every time I warped to a new system I grabbed the suit upgrade) so I'm really never short on inventory space. In the end the suit starts costing a ton, I'm at like 280k an upgrade now so the returns are diminishing vs buying a bigger ship, but I liked having the bigger suit for when I went on deep explorations on planets.

Is there any way to do that other than destroying the life support I created and using ressources to re-create another one?

Also that doesn't answer my question about the jetpack upgrade.

Ha! Just realised suit/ship/multi-tool add-ons stack and get bonuses if they're installed next to each other. Wondered why some had coloured boxes around them.

If you put it beside it you get a bonus though, but it doesn't have to be beside.

If you read the Jet Pack Booster description it says "within user's exosuit inventory"
If you put it beside it you get a bonus though,

So there's no way for me to get the boost since my Exosuit came with the Jetpack, Hazard protection and Life support setup that way... That's dumb...

Unless boost also works in diagonals?

I've got 30+ slots for my inventory and almost 30 slots in my ship, but I've only run into one upgrade for an omni-tool (and it was worse than the one I had) since my starting system.

Procedural generation is a bitch.

I didn't have any crashes from launch until Friday. Then today I couldn't play it at all. It crashed pretty much constantly, once before even loading my character. I don't know what to do.

Dismantle something beside/below/above it and build it somewhere else.

Upgrades dont need to be side by side. They stack the stats as long as they are in your inventory.

I can't dismantle the basic Life Support or Hazard Protection...

Thers no need. I have my jetpack upgrades very far from thr jetpack slot, and the upgrades work. They only need to be in your inventory dont mater where. When u build an upgrade just look at ur exosuit stats and u will see that stat raising no matter where u place the upgrade.

Ahh I'd just put it anywhere.

Yeah that's what I did... Not noticing a big change in my jetpack but that could just be me.

Also now the game is constantly telling me in the bottom right to build the jetpack upgrade even if I already did....sigh

On the other hand I keep finding drop pods which is really nice... To the point where I'm getting low on money cause I keep upgrading my exo suit lol...

I believe if you have the recipe and items to build something on your ship or suit you should be allowed to disassemble it.

For example I just recently picked up the crafting blueprint for the Life Support, yet I cannot disassemble the Life Support.

Unless you could craft a duplicate on your suit and then disassemble the original to effectively re-arrange some stuff.

If this isn't the case then I don't see the point of the game teaching you how to craft these specific recipes (Jetpack, Mining Beam, Life Support, Pulse Engine, etc) if you cannot ever use them. It doesn't make any sense to learn how to craft a Life Support if you don't ever need to use the recipe.

I have 3 jetpack upgrades, they're all linked but not connected to the jetpack itself, gives a considerable boost to air time when you stack a few like that, well worth it in my opinion.

So I saw the theory that different coloured stars (which are gated behind different warp drives) have wilder planets.

Since I'm done with
the path of atlas
I'm free to fuck around. So I built warp drive sigma and visited a red star for the first time, and so far so true - much rarer minerals, crazier animals, more difficult atmosphere, everything. Maybe just luck, but I've been playing for 30-50 hours at this stage so that seems unlikely. I've seen a lot.

I've got the schematics for Warp drives Tau and Theta as well so tomorrow I'll go to some green and blue stars. Is there a warp drive omega?

Since I fully upgraded my exosuit, today I spent time upgrading my ship. I managed to get it from 21 slots to 33 with a bit of money and a couple of rescues. I could have continued, but I'm thinking why do I need to grind so hard for more slots? I don't really need them anymore.

Anyway, now I'm looking to start progressing to the centre of the galaxy. How do you go about that? Use
black holes
? They don't seem to get you any closer. Just upgrade your warp drive? You seem to travel only the tiniest distances using that.

9th Atlas Stone...
almost there?

Spoilers:
One more stone, two more visits

Agree with all of this. I'm only just now learning these recipes (as if they're advanced or something), and I was really hoping it would give me the ability to move things around.

I'm on a planet with these greyhound sized lizard predators, and cow sized lumpy things, and I saw a pack of the lizards tear into a herd of the cows. They killed two and the rest ran like hell. I also ran like hell, because who wants to fight a bunch of greyhound lizard fucks with big claws.

That sounds great

I want to run into Greyhound sized lizards

I have both Warp Drive Tau and Sigma upgrades on my Ship and they are adjacent for the bonus. I can jump 730 Light Years in a single warp (I personally checked this, as the furthest star I could travel to was 730 light years away but a Star that was 740 was (Too far, upgrade warp drive)

Since the effects seem to be cumulative having Sigma, Tau, and Theta all on your ship at once should in theory allow you to jump 1500+ light years in a single warp jump.

Now if there just happens to be a Warp Drive Omega upgrade like I found a Damage Amplifier Omega for my Mining Beam....oh boy!
