Holy shit that is the coolest ship. It must have sucked to see it fly away :(

Hey. Now talking why you see the jetpack upgrade you aleady have adn still see in bottom right corner - you have it pinned.

Try and unpin it.

Yeah that's what I thought too but I can't pin/unpin something already created and it doesn't show up in the crafting menu since I have it in my inventory already...so I dunno.

I knew the looks of this game reminded me of something. Star Wars: The Old Republic (the MMO). Both use the Havoc engine. Grass is identical!

I'm almost at milestone 10 on everyone but that, where I haven't even reached milestone 1. And I spent most of today on an extreme cold planet that required a tau upgrade to survive. It has to be a bug.

Very frustrating.
Definitely is. I cant transmit my survival data to polo either. Its super annoying.

If you remain in a system or fly to the space station there you will notice the same ships (literally the same ones) always come dock. Some dock a lot less than other though so you sometimes need to leave and come back. Also, those exact same ships can be found crashed and awaiting repair. But that's more or a luck of the draw type thing than outright purchasing

Havok is a physics system. However, you're right, both games do have a similar look when it comes to certain tech!

Whoops, meant the Hero engine, but apparently NMS does not use that. But yeah there are definitely a lot of similarities in the aesthetic.

I've only gotten two atlas stones so far in the near week of playing. I may just do the dupe to get it over and done with.

I'm getting beyond bored of the boring planets. Wouldn't be so bad if I could find one with the high value items.

So yeah, think I'm gonna do the dupe tomorrow and then finish off the atlas path and then either shoot for the center or just free roam.

Also, the crashes are killing me. Went up until yesterday without a crash having bought the game on Tuesday. Tonight had three I believe before I quit.

Oh cool... The game crashed after an alt-tab (I'm running in Borderless) and now it crashes on boot...

Not sure if you're still having a problem, but this happened to me and I had to go in and delete all my settings to get it working again. They are stored at Install Dir\Binaries\Settings.

Do 28 slot ships not exist? I have a 27 slot and have been finding crashed ships to upgrade to 28 but all of them I have found are 26. Getting a bit annoyed.

I played for a few hours tonight on PS4 had 5 crashes, all at different times and on top of that 3 in a row trying to warp.

I finally got to the
Atlas space station
and have no materials so I go to land on a planet, get attacked by 3 ships, I barely take them out and make it safely to land, go run over to a save pylon and the game crashes....

Go to load both of my save games, the game crashes...

Fuck it I'm done, I gotta stop buying games at launch.

I need to make a promise to myself to only get games when the "GOTY" edition hits that way I am not paying full price to be a friggen beta tester.

Pisses me off so much because I was really into it and even though I knew the shortfalls I wanted to keep at it but it's hard when the game is a technical wreck half the time.

So bloody disappointed in this...

Ships can go as high as 48, same as the Exosuit.

However the 48 slot ships are from what I understand at least 100+ Million from what I read earlier in this thread.

Have seen 30 slot ships. But all too ugly for me to fly.

I have 10mil credits now with nothing to spend on. I wish the stores stocked more essential stuff. Spent hours looking for materials to fix a broken engine. Even witg millions sitting doing nothing.

My suit is at max slots. My multitool is 22. I have seen higher. But I really dont need more slots. I have every thing I want on it.

Wow. Thanks. Also apologies for asking again, but can you reestablish the Atlas path later on if you decide to free roam for a bit, or is it locked out?

I'm two systems away from the Atlas thing label on star chart anyway, but was curious if later down the line if I decide to deviate from its path.

I have no idea. I have no deviated from the path since I started. Since I can reach an Atlas with every jump per system. I've decided to just do the remaining four I have left and then after that do whatever I want such as reach the center.

I have a buddy that said he fed an alien, it then dug into the ground, and revealed Omegon. Maybe try feeding the animals? XD
Ah, that was the aforementioned 'dung' I was talking about. Though it usually materialises from the front of the alien, so maybe it is vomit? Either way I found no Omegon yet through that vile procedure. There are some smells even an exo-suit can't keep out. >.< Thanks for sharing fellow traveller!

I chose 'explore freely' in the beginning instead of going with the Atlas option. Now I'm regularily coming across locked crates/doors I can't open, with some kind of Atlas pass requirement.

Am I missing anything interesting?

What do you mean Tau + Sigma? Is there tech you can get that lets you scout a star system? How would you know you're going to a green system?

Tau + Sigma Warp Drive upgrades. The green systems in the galactic map are green. They are supposed to have rarer stuff but so far nothing is different.

edit: hmm ok came across Radnox for the first time ever. Very rare purple element.

They should really allow us to learn a recipe/blueprint once we dismantle an upgrade. Like learning enchantments in Skyrim once you dismantle the gear with the enchantment you want.

Ok so for Omegon... the poop trick works. Just go to an area where there is a ton of fauna and feed everything and they have a poop party and eventually someone will poop some omegon.

Not much tho.

I don't necessarily agree. It means that finding a multitool with a high upgrade has its own merit, not that it's just used to dismantle the tech.

So when you see other ships in this game can you literally just run up to them and 'research' them to upgrade your own?

No, you can buy their ship.

Yeah, but sometimes the upgrades aren't juxtaposed like the game wants you to do it, which may include upgrades you haven't learned (and likely won't for a long while... or you may learn it the very next minute, who knows.)

I am aware of that, I just can't find a crashed 28 so I can keep going.

Yeah good luck. I have a 25 slot ship and the last 5 crash sites have been 24 slots. I don't mind too much though because I have a so far completely unique ship to what I've seen.

I think the stars other than yellow ones just have a higher chance to have interesting planets, events etc. At least that's how I think it would work and from my limited testing (1 green system and 1 red system so far)

Biggest (and most expensive) ship I've yet come across...38 slots for a cool 19.3 million!

28370317273_00a19c3c08_k.jpg

Jesus, I need that ship.

Found a planet filled with Vortex cubes. Literally everywhere I go I can find Vortex Cubes. Though the sentinels immediately go to level 3 when I grab one. I'm rich!

Sac Venom Everywhere. 25,000 each. Galactic Market a walk away.

Bank.

Quoting both of you because I'm jealous and sad that I haven't come across something similar.

How can such a boring game be this addictive?

¯_(ツ)_/¯

Seriously, it makes ZERO sense.

It's annoying that some things don't stack. Hope they relax some of the stacking limits.

Super annoying. The strange thing is sometimes when I break down a ship upgrade I can get a stack of 3 of those metal plates, and when I look at it, it says 3 of 100 rather than the usual 1 of 1.

Just to let you know, the dupe trick isn't going to help you with the Atlas path. You actually have to
visit Atlas each time, so you might as well just hang on to the stones it gives you.

Im seriously sitting at around 50 crashes now. Lol.

I'm at 25+, yeah. Never seen anything like it.

Yeah, I'd never encountered purple elements until I went to a red system, then I was racking up Radnox by killing the animals there and there were blue crystals as common as plutonium is on most planets. I'll check more tomorrow but I definitely think it's a thing.

How can such a boring game be this addictive?

¯_(ツ)_/¯

Exactly. It's because it has that one important hit - the idea that the next hill you crest might be the one that gives you a spectacular view, or the next planet you visit might be gorgeous, or have amazing looking wildlife.

That promise keeps you coming back and back and back.

Wait, you mean they have to be connected to each other?

Well before that I had a warp drive with a sigma below it and to the right of that a Theta. It wouldn't allow me to warp to a theta required system. After that I tried just a theta connected to a warp drive. That didn't work either, so then I did Warp drive ->tau ->Theta and that allowed me to go to both tau and theta required systems now.

I farmed for Atlas Pass v2/3 for likely six hours yesterday. Nothing. However, I can make Lemium, which worked out great, since the moon I was on had Titanium and Plutonium, which are required to make it. They sell for 35k, and I found someone who wanted to pay +100%. Got enough money for a lot of exosuit upgrades. It was a great day, since I'm up to 24 slot multitool and a lot of space in my exosuit. Wondering if I should grind crashed ships or wait til I have enough cash to get the next one.

I visited a lot of Operational Centres, but I didn't find the blueprint anywhere. I also realized there are a lot of structures I no longer care about. I think I actually visited basically all the "Colonial Outposts" of the moon, so I think I need to venture on to the next planet. I did get Warp Core Tau and Theta, though!

and yeah I seem to be crashing more often now too... trying to save as much as I can but sometimes I forget, scan like 50 things and then bam... :(
