When you're on a planet with no animals, you can upload 100% complete data and it counts as +1 to your milestone.

It does end up bugging all your past planets/systems though. But it fixes itself for each planet you visit after.

So I found a planet yesterday with no animals but the upload 100% thing was greyed out. Am I missing something?

The easiest place to get upgrades are at Atlas stations. They all have one.

Wait, are you saying all Atlas stations have an actual multi-tool? Where? Am I blind?

It's weird...but you just have to hold X to upload rather than Square for some reason.

Oops. Not Atlas stations. I meant anomalies. My bad.

At what point do you get Altas passes? I'm in my 11th system now along the path and still none the wiser.

No v1? You get the v1 after you go to your first Atlas Interface. The next system should have the Space Anomaly, where you can get v1. I'm guessing you've been there since, but haven't gotten it from anyone there? It seems you get v1 only after that first Atlas Interface encounter. I wonder if you'll have to get it the random way, now, just like v2/v3.

v1, v2, or v3?

You get the v1 from a space anomaly talking to the priest I think.

v2 and v3 passes can be found in Operation Centres in Korvax star systems.

So, there I was gattering gold when this happened:

Man, fuck this game. Now I'm pretty much stranded and all my progress lost because there is no way to get to the ship, which is creeping farther away slowly, buying a new one would take ages (I have less than a million units, the lowest ship that I could find in the pad were at 11 million)

It sucks that you can't add slots on your ship. There should be a way to add slots, even if it's expensive as fuck.

Mine is only a 27 one but I like it's design so I don't want to change it :/

Shit, I never noticed. Gonna keep my eyes open better in those from now on.

I'm at 48 suit slots and a 31 slot ship but my multi-tool is still only a 12 slotter. Though to be fair I've been destroying with it. I've survived sentinel fights with the giant metal gear sentinels with this shitty little tool, lol. Mining beam with rail upgrade too strong.

can someone explain how the whole "mods placed next to each other have a coloured outline" thing works? i assume being next to each other they're getting some sort of bonus on top of their base level stat boost?

WHAT.

Reload last save from options menu?

That's pretty much exactly it.

It's on the right side of the room. You'll see a giant pillar but when you walk up to it it'll turn and reveal a multi-tool.

Clipped through the floor twice yesterday, managed to escape once but the second time there were no caves in jetpack range. Lost both inventories nearly full of Emeril, gonna grind dat shit again later...

You aren't stranded. Find an outpost or anything that will allow you to summon your ship using a Bypass Chip.

Enjoying this game. Played about 6 hours so far. Found my first watery planet yesterday so I spent a bit of time relaxing on the beach, drinking a coconut and watching the flying snake fish dance in the skies above.

Considering the low number of slots of my ship and multitool, I'm incredibly reluctant to install any upgrades. Seems like a waste of resources.

Wander aimlessly in a radioactive planet hoping to stumble on a post with the summoning thing?

Nah. Life is too short.

Umm...you see that ship right in front of the picture there? It's a docking bay. Go to it and there's a computer there you can use a Bypass Chip on.

You have to wait for the ship that's currently there to leave though and a new ship can't be coming in.

but what is the boost? is there a way to see it? i mean, what am i getting from sticking a +2 and a +3 mining speed boost next to each other? or does it just end up being +5? if so, what do you get if those mods aren't touching each other?

No it shouldn't... the game isn't worth $60, regardless how many copies it sells.
I don't know, at least 100.000 people in the UK say it's worth that much (or the Pound equivalent).
To me it is worth $100, so I am happy that I got it at a bargain.

It's slight. If you have a multitool with the mining laser, a mining intensifier +2 and +3, you will have +5. If you have two of them touching, they likely get a small boost. Perhaps 10%? If all three, perhaps 15%? That's just my guess. No way of knowing.

This is a silly argument, as if a full featured game somehow should not be priced like all other full featured games because of a subjective experience. Vote with your wallet. Hundreds of thousands have voted 60$.

Welp, next system I warped to had an anomaly.

Checked the multitool aaaaand...

11 slot. Fuck me, lol.

It becomes a +5, yes. So ideally when you have something fully upgraded with Simga, Tau, Theta, and Omega upgrades you have a +10.

You can tell it's working because the items in a group get a colored border around them.

I'm under the impression that if you have two installed, they both work, no matter if they're adjacent or not, and if they are adjacent you get a small bonus?

Can we keep any negativity out of this thread please? It's been a really good source of help and information. If you feel burned by this "Mediocre" game (Lmao), create a new thread with your heartfelt thoughts and feelings.

Back on Topic I am now 160k away from the core and with Omega Hyper drive you can travel absolutely massive distances supposedly. Also has anyone else been getting manufacturing plants when searching for the Atlas Pass V2 & V3?

Go to new systems, go to the station, sometimes, at least with Vy'keen they give you a new multitool because they think your old one sucks. All bases on a planet that have a trading terminal (not the one with six landing pads, but rather those with one) always have a multitool on the wall. I went from 16 to 24 slots yesterday.

That's 100% subjective though. Considering how hooked I got this weekend, it's definitely worth €60 for me.

I just don't understand the complaints about the price point. I mean, for me CoD or any annual sports games other than FIFA would hardly be worth €10, still I find it incredibly easy to accept that there are people who are happy to pay full-price for those and I don't feel the need to go around complaining it's too expensive just because I'm not willing to pay such a price... I don't get it, really.

Yeah I've had Vy'keens offer me new tools twice so far and they always had less slots than my 12. Just me being unlucky.

Oh, yes! I didn't mean to imply they wouldn't work if they weren't touching, sorry. They work no matter where you put them, but if they're all connected they'll get a boost, that's correct.

Which is why it fucking sucks you never get a chance to upgrade your suit to pull things out of the corner. I will never have a fully upgraded Jet Pack because it's wedged in the top left corner with my Life Support under it and my Suit to the right.

It's the same for everyone, so I just have all my jet pack upgrades lined up for that sweet melee boosting.

Hey guys - quuuuuuuuuuuuick question - did we ever figure out how to fix the whole pre-order ship/warp drive nonsense?

I got the ship pretty much immediately, fixed it up then went travelling... I don't have any warp drive blueprints and I'm worried that I have to start all over again....thoughts?

I've been enjoying the game, but space combat is just awful, easily the worst part of the whole experience. Fighting pirates is nothing but a tedious forced mini game with poor controls.

What do you mean?
When you find an orange beacon you can craft a handful of Bypass Chips and search for Colonial Outposts. Doing this either gives you a marker for a Manufacturing plant or Operations Centres.

Operations Centres can give you the blueprints for the Atlas Pass V2 or V3 which unlocks all Atlas doors. Last night though I only got Manufacturing plants no matter what world of was on.

Man. I have a cool 25 mil sitting here waiting for a ship to land that I like. Before I had all this money I saw the most baller ass ships landing in the space stations but now that I'm on the market I keep getting Ford Pinto ships rolling in everywhere for like 2 mil. Whats the deal?

Seriously lol, I'm having the same problem. I seen a huge Starship which was beautiful and I've never seen it since now I have the funds to buy it!

Sat in a Space Station for over an hour last night and it's seemed to only want to supply me with rust buckets :(

How on earth do you have 25 mil! I am grinding up to 15 at the moment on a planet stocked with emeril, saving up for a sweet sweet ship upgrade. But each run takes the best part of an hour and only nets 1.5mil. Reveal your secrets!

Nah. Life is too short.

You mentioned pads that had ships landing on them.... each of those pads has a console that you can use (with a chip) to call your ship when the pad is not occupied.

Finding a planet full of Graviton Balls and then finding an Outpost that buys them +95% :)
