Man. I have a cool 25 mil sitting here waiting for a ship to land that I like. Before I had all this money I saw the most baller ass ships landing in the space stations but now that I'm on the market I keep getting Ford Pinto ships rolling in everywhere for like 2 mil. Whats the deal?

20 slot ship that I don't have the heart to upgrade. I only see ugly junkers these days. ]:

N47258v.jpg

Glad I don't have any money at the moment. lol

Damn, that's lucky. The outpost on the same planet too?
Yeah that's what happened to me 2 days ago. I can only grind so long though so only made about 11.5M and then left. Named the planet Gravy Ball Central lmao.

Well shit. Better stick with my grinding then not found a single graviton ball yet!
Seriously. As soon as you find them look for an Outpost or trading post and get selling!

Just found a system with a planet full of Vortex Cubes. Space stations buys them for +95%!
Ooh! Get stocking and selling quick and don't leave until your a very rich Man/Woman.

On one hand it's weird the way Korvax, Vy'keen, Gek et al. systems are distributed so homogenously through the universe as opposed to having their own concentrated regions of space. But on the other hand, if they'd done it that way I suppose you'd very likely never encounter more than one of them.

Seriously lol, I'm having the same problem. I seen a huge Starship which was beautiful and I've never seen it since now I have the funds to buy it!

Sat in a Space Station for over an hour last night and it's seemed to only want to supply me with rust buckets :(

Like, just yesterday I saw this bad boy.

A bit out of my price range but my lord I want it. I might just save up another 15 mil jst incase I see it again.

How on earth do you have 25 mil! I am grinding up to 15 at the moment on a planet stocked with emeril, saving up for a sweet sweet ship upgrade. But each run takes the best part of an hour and only nets 1.5mil. Reveal your secrets!
I harvest whatever rare thing I come across like gravitino orbs, venom sacks, pearls ect every time I find a planet abundant in them. It pays off warping a lot and not spending too mich time on a planet that doesnt have them, they are actually pretty common. The majority of the time though, if I find a planet with a lot of mounds of Emeril I will mine the sht out of that. 1 full slot will land you 70k or 140k for a full slot on your ship. If you got a bad ass mining tool, you can make quick work of those mounds.

Holy shit that's fucking nice. Kind of like the one I fell in love with but with smaller wings and a black and white paint job.

Also I do the same. If a planet doesn't have rare stuff I'll leave and try another one. It also pays to look in caves to see if there's Vortex Cubes in there as well.

Toki767 said it on the previous page. His info's been spot on for me so far, and since there are no other clues about how to get v2 and v3, this is as good a thing to try as any.
Thanks. I'll just have to keep looking and scanning. It just seems I only got Manufacturing plants though last night.

No v1? You get the v1 after you go to your first Atlas Interface. The next system should have the Space Anomaly, where you can get v1. I'm guessing you've been there since, but haven't gotten it from anyone there? It seems you get v1 only after that first Atlas Interface encounter. I wonder if you'll have to get it the random way, now, just like v2/v3.
None of that happened to me. I guess I have some backtracking to do.. and I've combed every system I've been in, sigh.

You don't have to backtrack. Just keep hopping systems until you find one with the Space Anomaly station. If it's your first time talking to Polo (the tiny Gek inside) he should still give you the Atlas Pass v1 blueprint.

Edit: Oh, did I misunderstand? If you did indeed already talk to Nada and Polo and didn't get it, then I dunno.

I think you might be bugged out from getting v1 the normal way, then. I don't think you can backtrack to it. I think v2 can open v1 stuff, so you could just try to find a v2/v3

Then an there's the walk speed. What kind of fucking snail are we playing as? Ok cool, I can upgrade my suit to have better run duration, but that shit takes up an inventory slot. And those are precious for the first 10-20 hours.
If you arent already make sure you are using the 'melee/jetpack' technique to go faster.

Once you start using that you will be flying crazy distances across the world. i can go far across water or from canyon to canyon with it and its genuinely a great feeling and gets you places really quickly.

Only problem is i dont think it counts towards your distanced traveled journey milestone as it needs you to walk but otherwise its a god send.

Got my Warp reactor tau up and exploring green star systems...

completely different ball game. Rare elements all over the place (Radnox?), a lot more extreme and beautiful environments.
A little more emeril and I'll have my Theta drive up and running, too.

See I've been traveling the red, green and blue star systems and they've just been dead rocks lol. I thought B class systems were supposed to be good or is it still a random chance that you'll get a dead planet even in a rare system?

No idea how it works. I just heard you could explore different class systems with an upgraded drive for rare materials and exotic environments

So far that has proven to be true. I've run into multiple elements I had never even seen before since exploring green solar systems

Do these cubes and other rare stuff show up on scans? I don't know what to look for so I may have missed a bunch. I finished the Atlas plotline (for now?) so I'm pretty far along. I've been gathering materials so I can upgrade a new hyperdrive, but I want to find that perfect ship first.

Is there a reason to keep Sigma if I'm getting the next level warp core? I'm guessing I'll be able to jump further if I have all three, but do I need Sigma to go to the Sigma-enabled systems, or will Tau let me do that?

You can use the scanners on planets more then once right? Like search for shelter then ruins. It marks it, how do you track where you have been and haven't?

Feel like I've done something wrong somewhere.

I chose Atlas path and spent a lot of time on the first planet mining huge deposits of a valuable mineral/alloy. The game kept telling me to create a rail attachment, but I'd made one earlier and got rid asap as it was crap. It was about another 20 hours or so with constant nags from the game to make this thing again that the story was allowed to progress, but by then I'd warped 5 or 6 systems away from the start.

I feel like I have to go back there to find out what I missed - any advice? I'm trying not to spoil anything, so just a yes/no will do, cheers!

Each Warp Core upgrade unlock is exclusive, so you need them all to have access to everything.

It will always point to stuff you haven't visited up to the point that there are no more new ones on that planet, whereupon it will just give you the coordinates to one of the ones you've visited. The first time you get directed to a place you've already tagged, it is time to stop looking for that particular type of hotspot in that particular planet.

Im not sure what I'm supposed to do story wise. Felt like I hit the first few "missions" and then didn't see anything else pop up. I still don't have the first Atlas pass. I've jumped probably 3 times since the first system. Should I turn back? lol

How do you know besides getting there?

I'm wondering whether the planet-side Stargates only work in the same system. Maybe you have to find two in the same system and can then move between them? Only conjecture and I don't think I've found a single one.

I haven't found a binary star systems, ringed planets or sandy ones yet, though I have found sand texture, though it doesn't seem to mesh well with the surrounded textures yet, looks very blocky. Hopefully these things are just very rare or to come in a future patch.

With all the complaints about inventory management I actually think it works absolutely fine. It's not difficult to upgrade your exo-suit, even in the beginning. And once you do that things become a lot easier. If they dumb it down even more we'll all be mega rich very quickly and there'll be no challenge.

I saw a similar complaint about the life support system but, again, once that's upgraded you very rarely have to worry about it.

Right. The Atlas passes buildings have now are level 3, I just feel I might have missed a trick somewhere. I've seen some creatures offering an Atlas-named item, but not a pass, and they want nearly 3m units for them. I'd have to go back though all those systems and find out that the game is "working as intended" hah.

That's a hilarious bug. Just use the terminal by the landing pad with a bypass chip to call your ship down.

First thing I did. It came home safely :p

It's funny, the first thing that came to mind was that someone had found my planet, hijacked my ship, and decided it'd be funny to barrel roll my ship infront of me!

Never seen a Space Anomaly station, what do they look like?

OK still early in the first system on PC version, and Im one animal away from getting them all for this moon Im on! ANy hints Where the frig is the last animal...got water and all over the land ...even one in the air that never comes down and I had to upgrade my range finder three times just to do that!?!?!??!?

I was going to install my theta warp drive but I think Ill just keep saving up for a new ship and then once I get the new ship I will install the theta on that one. Im in no hurry to reach the center I suppose.

I cant remember though. Can I transfer my theta drive over to my new ship when purchasing it?

A spherical station and it will clearly be labeled "Anomaly". When you warp to a system with an anomaly, it should basically be the first thing you notice since it has a unique icon as well.

Ok, none of the space stations in the systems I've been in so far has been like that.

I warped out of my starting system and received a recipe for antimatter in the 2nd system, is it safe now for me to redeem my pre-order ship. Getting pretty tired that of redeem ship message already :/

Speaking of ships.... do Space Stations actually sell them, or do you need to wait for one to land and then make an offer?

Nope. You can dismantle it and get half the resources back, though.

You can buy any ship you see, but there's no ship dealership.

If you want to play the storyline, follow the "path to galatic core" waypoint on the Galatic view, andf also when you reach a new system always do a system scan. Every few systems you will be able to move on with the story.

The latter. Doesn't have to be at space stations though, you can approach any ship you see, so it works at trading stations on planets as well.

Regarding the pre-order message: If you're on Steam, you can just uninstall the pre-order DLC and re-install it when you want to claim it, so the message disappears in the meantime.

So here's a fun bug!

I just played for about 3 hours. The game soft-crashed at random. This isn't new, sadly, though the fact I made it 3 hours without a crash is in hindsight pretty notable. What IS new is that, upon reloading, I was on a save from when I'd started my session! Different planet, different system, old inventory, old cash, old upgrades, all of it. The NMS save game data on the PS4 in-game has the update time from when I would have last saved after the 3 hours and the previous save from yesterday. So... it apparently wasn't actually saving any of that progress the entire time? I didn't reload at all during it so I wouldn't have noticed the save times remaining their originals. Was doing the usual that whole time of re-exiting my ship before leaving for anywhere new, etc. I'd loaded the game from a cold start, was not a resume.

So, uh, yeah, neat? This is the first truly soul-busting bug I've experienced in any PS4 game. Perhaps a sign to stop this for awhile. If there's any bright side it's that I didn't lose any progress in my environmental survival since that was already bugged. Might be amusing to go to the stars and planets I discovered later to see myself already having credit for them, assuming it was actually uploading things as it claimed to have been doing.

I saw this little gem last night

hqdefault.jpg

With 30 slots!

... For a cool 10.2 million credits.

Grown man wanted to cry, with his paltry 1.8 on hand. :(

You mentioned pads that had ships landing on them.... each of those pads has a console that you can use (with a chip) to call your ship when the pad is not occupied.

I know, but as I stated earlier, it didn't work. After crossing what felt like a continent, I found a shelter with that summoning thingy. When I tried to summon my ship, the game crashed.

I rebooted the PS4 and it worked. But I was on the edge, getting very frustrated. It wasn't fun and I only cared to endure the whole thing because I'm pretty far and in a system with lots of interesting worlds.
