Anyone have blueprints for Dynamic Resonators? They always have a great sell price but beyond the one I bought for my Hyper Drive I haven't seen any. Wonder how easy it would be to craft a bunch.

I have plans for Power Reservoirs which look similar but aren't worth crap.

Can someone explain to me what I'm supposed to be doing in No Man's Sky? I have about 12 upgrades but no slots for them. Should I be getting rid of random materials to use these powers or should I wait until I have more slots to use them? I'm in the second galaxy right now.

Yes, I got them.

They are part of a crafting progression:
Suspension fluid -> Electron Vapor -> Antimatter -> DR

27000 a pop and they cost 2 antimatters, 100 chrysonite and 4 microdensity fibers.

Thats a warp cell.

Which is a lot easier to craft and worth more units.

Do planets / wildlife actually get more interesting the closer you get? I have jumped about 10 times but still in the 1st "section" as i havent updated my drive.

I have the dynamic resonator blueprint. They take:

2x Antimatter
100x Chrysonite
4x Microdensity Fiber

Edit: Beaten like the face of LookAtMeGo's avatar.

I'll pay for dlc. Gimme gimme

Edit: his reasoning is fine. If they create something substantial its only fair to be paid for the work.

When you've been searching and finally find a honey hole planet......and it has batshit insane sentinels....

I forgot to mention how happy I am that they made planetary entry a bit more "involved" than the previous trailers showed. While not realistic, it does feel like I am entering a world.

"Niave"? That's the excuse? Could have been like "Eh, we just changed our minds.".
If you're serious, it was pretty easy for me to read between the lines of that "article"...

Sean Murray made a statement that could sound to someone casually listening like a categorical denial that there will ever be any paid content of any kind in No Man's Sky.

Sony saw that press and sent Sean a memo saying, "Uh, hey, guy, you have created a potentially massive cash cow with ridiculous session engagement rates and almost no limitations on the framework through which you can add stuff. Please don't say things like that; we very much enjoy money."

I don't believe Hello Games has "changed their minds" about anything, and I expect multiple free updates to the game.

Exactly.

Also, I would gladly give Hello Games more money. They made a wonderful game that will only get better with time. Though, I expect them to get a bigger office soon enough.

Fly low/close until the pad is just out of view below you, then land? Only time that doesn't seem to work for me is if another ship is already landing in that spot.

Agreed though, needs a better prompting. The cursor exists to show you if you're targeting a landing pad, but it's hard to see in some ships.

I try to do that, but I can only get so close and that will still sometimes end with me right next to the pad. And yeah, if I do see the prompt, it pops up at the very edge of my view, which isn't helpful at all. Crazy that the targeting panel doesn't seem to react to it, because that'd be a subtle, but sure-fire fix.

So it wasnt just the UI... SMH /s

Hahah, Destiny has a beautiful design so I am all for it!

One thing I am unhappy about is that the multitool only gets upgraded in 2 slot increments. So basically, I am wasting upgrades for a while. Also, aesthetics is RNG since I have to switch to get a better gun. I hope they make it more dynamic through patches.

Are you talking about your exosuit or ship?

Most of the upgrades are meant to be crafted and destroyed shortly after. I only have 2 permanent upgrades in my suit; life support & jet pack. If I need anything else, I craft it on the spot and get rid of it when I'm done. How many slots are you working with?

If you're talking about your ship, then that really depends on how you play the game. The upgrades here are meant to be a little more permanent. I dedicated 9 slots to upgrades and that'll probably increase in the near future.

I like how your mind works. Cargo compactor upgrades. That's damn good thinking!

There's a lot of ways they could go to further the upgrade progression in the game. Both in combat and non-combat. I'd also like to see an upgrade that lets you exchange cargo with your ship from farther distances.

Hopefully they keep adding stuff, because ui and technology upgrades are the easiest things to add to this game (as opposed to new buildings / planets / animals, which I think are impossible without changing core seed values). New Ships/multitools might be possible as they seem to show up randomly.

Ugh, I experienced my first crashes after 40h now. Apparently it crashes whenever I use one of those terminals that give you multi-tool blueprints. Okay, "whenever" might be too broad of a term as my sample size is 2, but that still sucks.

A few things I'd like to see improved. These are mostly OoL:
  • I should be able to upload all of my findings at once. When you spend a couple of hours on a planet researching the plant and wildlife, it becomes pretty tedious to sit there and upload them all one by one.
  • I want to be able to backtrack if I feel like it. I should be able to open up my discoveries menu, highlight the planet I want to visit and set a waypoint. That, or show me a waypoint that highlights of the places that I've been. It's not the end goal of the game, but it's nice to have the option.
Here are a few other suggestions:
  • Some of the aliens in the outposts should pay me to build a map of the planet for them. As the one who discovered the planet first, I should be able to fly around the planet building a map that other players can use if they find themselves on one of my discoveries
  • Shipyard. Space stations should have a shipyard available for those with a certain ranking within a species. I want to paint and modify the look of my ship.

I totally agree with these...

I would also add:
Maps: I would love better ways to mark locations. I know I can scan a building with my visor to tag it...but that rarely ever works and then ends up pointing me to other random buildings that are the same type. I really do not understand why I cannot just have a permanently tagged location on a planet, or multiples for that matter, it kills me. You'll find a wealth of rare resources, gather a full backpacks worth...then wander looking for a place to sell them and then never find that stash again...why? Why is that not an easy fix?

With backtracking: Why cant I just select the planet on my list and pay warp cells to get back? Trying to find your previously visited planets on the galactic map is really difficult, and trying to follow your bread-crumb trail several jumps is nearly impossible. I want to revisit my starter planet, but have have given up hope of that ever happening...

Shipyard: aside from light customization, why do I have to wait for ships to randomly arrive at space stations or landing pads? Why cant I summon a ship at these locations that meet some general specifications that i input? I want a larger ship, with comparable warp capabilities...but I'm at the random mercies of the game for that to happen...

Other thoughts:

As people have mentioned (here, or maybe reddit): Don't just tell me I got a duplicate blueprint, give me some credits with it. I'm seriously losing interest in checking out small camps because they typically don't have anything for me...

Again, as people have mentioned: Let me name my tool and ship. Why can I name everything else, except what I actually use and interact with?

One other thing I'd appreciate: Let me add notes to planets, either just key-word tags or full notes. I don't want to name a planet "Ballzzzzz 4 Dayz" so I can remember to go farm it later...

All these quality of life things aside (and the game crashes...2 full system locks and 4-6 crash to home screen) I am absolutely loving NMS. I've found myself scanning wildlife and plants in real life in my brain...which means I've been playing too much...

Edit: Also, an actual photo mode. So much style and focus on aesthetic...but no way to hide all the icons and other visuals? Why? Oh, and (as mentioned by another user) let me look at 3D models of the stuff I've discovered..

Found yet another planet with Gravitino Orbs and with my upgraded suit, I can carry away ten of those per run now. Not entirely sure it's the fastest way to get money, but it's fast enough.

I also found a usable crashed ship, but I needed that Resonator for the Hyperdrive, and had to buy one. Can you get the recipe for that?

My biggest want right now is copper. I can find everyhing else that's green, except copper, and I need 400 of it for a Warp Drive upgrade. I assume it's in the potato asteroids?`I'd love to find a planet with copper towers, though.

Asteroids in space. That's where I've found all of mine.

I have 10-12 upgrades in my suit. Stacked shields, sprints and jet pack upgrades (cannot remember exactly which exactly right now)

I tend to think of the exosuit as the main inventory. I just leave a few slots in my ship open for asteroid mining and piracy reasons.

Freighters on the other hand...

Copper can be found in floating eggs on planets (in addition to oblong asteroids in space, where I find it is rarer).

Haven't narrowed down the specific planet types these are most likely to be found on, but I think they're most common on "non-barren" planets.

It only looks cool from the ground. In space they are just clumped together in a small bit of space in the star system. Looks ridiculous. My starting system was just four planets lined up in a row. I don't even know if planets orbit their star anymore, the way Sean claimed they would. The lack of real solar system orbits really breaks the immersion for me if I pay attention to it at all.

Planets were supposed to orbit and spin on their axis but that was all axed. The star is a texture that flies by now and the planets don't move.

The search for Atlas Pass v2/v3 continues. Anyone picked up any more tips?

Keep going to colonial outposts and hope to get it.

Go to a new planet. Make like 4 or 5 bypass chips. Scan for colonial outposts.

Go to every single one. If you don't get it, fly to the next planet and repeat.

Does this include Manufacturing plants or just the Operations Centre?

Reading what the elite dangerous team have done with their game from release to today, does everyone think that Hello Games are capable of changing NMS into something far greater?

These two things were supposed to be in the game. I'm still on my pre-order ship so I'm surprised to hear you can't name ships you find later. Sean also said they were putting in a way to leave messages for other players (a la Dark Souls), but I guess that didn't make it in, either.

I feel they will add a lot of nice QoL updates, but the question is when. Would love to hear news of the next update.

I imagine they're working on it, but squashing all the bugs and crashes is probably a priority right now.

With that said if the first patch is anything to go by, some of the additions are probably somewhat complete. Now they've taken on more QA staff perhaps it will be easier for them to introduce new things. I wonder now it's out if they're going to expand their team.

Both. You have to answer the question correctly and then there is a chance to get the blueprint.

If they add a lot more people, sure. Might be hard to find good people though and integrate them quickly into the studio. As it stands this game was too ambitious for such a small team and it shows.
