You have to look at the trajectories of the platforms Smash was releasing on. 3DS is not Wii. Middling success with low software sales versus huge success with vibrant software sales.
This is a good, but not great launch for the first handheld Smash. Will be much worse for the WiiU version methinks. Even if it causes hardware sales spikes.
I think it's as good as can be expected given the platform.

Along with all the free copies of Destiny given free with X1 Consoles during launch.
Not gonna happen. They'll spin the division 2-3 years from now if ANYTHING, based on performance. Then again they want that living room at all cost: Apple, Samsung and even Amazon are bigger fish than Sony.

I think they should be close to over 11.5 million, maybe close to 12. Should reach mid 12 millions, maybe near 13 (or a bit higher) by the end of Oct. Then 17-18 million by the end of Dec.

It's been said int he thread a ton already, but that's likely because of the free game promo MS did the week of Destiny's release; those games count since most stores just gave away gift cards (or ran the game up at POS separately), instead of the game being bundled with the console (which Sony did and which isn't counted in NPD).
I think Acti said PS4 has the the most active players, but both consoles probably have a very healthy Destiny playerbase.

I think the important item, is that even giving the hottest game away didnt help MS win the month in hardware sales. Also that free game cost MS some money, so that has to be considered a huge loss for MS.
Yeah, impressive. Second best seller on the series. DKC 1 remains the king.
