Main two reasons are: early release, Classic Controller. I tried playing MM1\2 with the Wiimote but the dpad is horrible --it's smaller than the CC. Well maybe it's just me.Gamer @ Heart said:So it feels like most people are getting it on VC. Why is that?
Don't own a 360 yet. Even if I did, Wii is getting the earliest release of Mega Man 9 (if it's not delayed) and I've heard bad enough things about the 360 D-pad to make me want to take the Wii remote or classic controller over achievements.Gamer @ Heart said:So it feels like most people are getting it on [WiiWare]. Controller preference and earlier release. Plus, I have my Wii connected to a SD CRT as well for best image quality.Gamer @ Heart said:So it feels like most people are getting it on VC. Why is that?
Eh, I beat most of Mega Man the other day with it and it felt fine. I have a SNES controller + adapter that I'll be using for MM9, but I think the Wiimote would suffice too. The dpad is certainly smaller, but it's easy for me to get used to.Echoes said:Main two reasons are: early release, Classic Controller. I'm getting the 360 version also, and I'd like to get the PS3 version but recently Sony blocked entropay.com so I can't.
Edit: your list is amazing, Jiggy. I bookmarked it in case I'm looking for any VC game after MM9![]()
shidoshi said:Call me a graphics whore if you want, but the Wii not even doing 720p is REALLY a turn-off for me. If I pick up a PS2 game at this point, it has an excuse: it was created for a system that was launched in a time before HD consoles existed. Now, however, I have an HDTV, I have a PS3, I have an Xbox 360, and I also have certain expectations. If I'm going to only play a finite number of games each year, I'd rather play the fun and interesting games that are also in HD versus the fun and interesting games that aren't. For a lot of people, this factor isn't at all a big deal, but for me, it's just as hard to spend money on a Wii game as it is to spend money at this point for a money on DVD when I could instead be buying something on Blu-ray.
Virtual Console, however, get a pass like the PS2 does. Plus, I can better justify spending a few bucks on a game from consoles past that I used to love, versus buying a full retail Wii title when that larger amount of money could maybe be better spent elsewhere.
I really hadn't expected to feel so stubborn against the Wii. I bought it long before I bought my PS3, I was excited for it, and I had planned to actually play games like Metroid Prime 3 and Zelda. But, the day I got my HDTV... man, things changed.

Two players can enjoy a head-to-head game or play a spirited round of Bean Ball, a six-character free-for-all. Three difficulty levels are available (Easy, Medium, and Hard); which one you choose will depend on your skill and courage. You'll morph into a speeding train, a power drill, a mechanical fish and a mighty dune buggy in this action-packed adventure. Equip yourself with weapons, pick up morphs and power-ups to defeat WarHead, and restore peace on Earth.

Right now, I'm thinking of picking up the Wii version. It seems like the Wiimote will function as a much better controller for the game than the 360 pad.
