This one will go far.
umm.. we already know the what the exact list will look like by the end of december. c'mon people........LakeEarth said:I still can't believe November is over and there are only 17 VC games. I know Nintendo has a history of ignoring quantity, but if they're trying to make an 'iTunes' I think they should really triple the game amount and soon.
maharg said:Could it be the ESRB that's the problem here? A lot of these games were never rated by the ESRB (because they predate its existence), but they sure do have ratings on the Wii now. If Nintendo is putting every game through the ESRB process before releasing it on the VC, it could explain the huge difference between the US and Japanese lists (Does Japan even have an ESRB equivelent?).
Sub-boss. The real boss of stage 1 is a little while later.AdmiralViscen said:When you fight that ring boss, made up of a bunch of segments with one weak point, does that mean you beat stage 1? Or is he a sub boss?
I'm on stage 5. The trick I think is that the red weapon is the best for clearing the levels, suck for bosses.Haleon said:Can anybody actually get past the third level of Super Star Soldier, or is it just some kind of impossible inside-joke?
Sub-boss. Don't even try to hit his weakpoint. Just keep firing and do nothing but try to get out of the way of the giant blueball weapon. He'll die in ~20 seconds.AdmiralViscen said:When you fight that ring boss, made up of a bunch of segments with one weak point, does that mean you beat stage 1? Or is he a sub boss?
I think the green lightning is pretty kick ass for clearing levels. It kills the strong enemies ultra quick.LakeEarth said:I'm on stage 5. The trick I think is that the red weapon is the best for clearing the levels, suck for bosses.
I'm only on the third level, but from what I know:Gigglepoo said:Is Super Star Soldier anything like Tyrian? Can you upgrade your weapons? Are there a lot of different weapons? Do you upgrade your ship at all?
AdmiralViscen said:Yea, I beat the ring guy pretty easy. But I died later, and wound up right back at the beginning of Stage 1. I was confused.
When I pick up a different weapon color, is my progression in the previous color totally lost? Am I starting from scratch whenever I switch colors?

Kevar said:Um, hey guys, how do I get my wii remote to work with the VC? I just downloaded Super Star Soldier, and it's on the "Press Start" screen, but doing anything with either of my wii remotes makes the blue lights blink for a while, then stop blinking without turning on. I tried syncing them up again to no avail.
Huh, that fixed it. Weird. Thanks.Gigglepoo said:This happened to me when playing Wii Sports. I had to unplug my system. Everything was fine and dandy after that.
There's a powerup that turns your ship # icon gold. If its gold, you'll get another chance when you died. When I made it to the level 5 boss I lost 3 men :lolSpace A Cobra said:I'm not sure how it works. Sometimes it'll give you more lives and let you keep going, other times it might start you back at the beginning.
evilromero said:I hope Nintendo has a slick 20gig harddrive in the works. Something small that just plugs into the USB port and lets you directly access the VC games.
Christopher said:I updated it a bit so you guys go to Wikipedia and read about the games if you chose to do so before purchasing them, because those Gamespot reviews are getting a tad ridiculous.

So why not read the 1up ones instead?Christopher said:I updated it a bit so you guys go to Wikipedia and read about the games if you chose to do so before purchasing them, because those Gamespot reviews are getting a tad ridiculous.

I just got 2000 more Wii points... what should I spend it on? (Now I have 2300 total). I'm thinking Mario 64, Sonic, and......Zelda. That'll put me at a 0 balance. Or I could not buy Sonic and get Super Star Soldier instead...decisions, decisions!
(Or I could just wait till Monday's VC update and decide then.)
Pellham said:I'm waiting on the next updates. Is Dungeon Explorer any good? I want to play an RPG/adventure game that i haven't already played to death.
NintendosBooger said:I'd wait. Besides, this Xmas surprise from Nintendo that's coming up might require points, so I'd really hold off until all that's been settled.

The third level, and it is beatable. Its just tough and takes a lot of practice. But its fun.btrboyev said:battletoads was horrible anyways...what was it the second or third level that was impossible to beat?
