Why did Hillary bring up gender? Change shouldn't be locked to race, religion or gender. What we need is a change in the way our politics work, not in something so trivial as gender or race.

I thought she wasn't going to play that "I'm running as a woman" card:P

oh she's riding that horse as hard as she can. I almost lost track of the times I heard the word "children" and "trust" and "family" sprinkled around her responses.

these words go right over OUR heads, but women's ears perk right up when they hear them. Hillary is bleeding away supporters right and left EXCEPT for older women, and she's going to make damn sure that base isn't going anywhere tonight.

Again. They are laying the foundation for Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama. They are demonstrating tonight that they could be an effective team that would work through their differences and provide unique perpectives and solutions.

like i said, i'll vote for either one, and if they are on the same ticket thats the best of both worlds for me.

Very much agreed.

:lol :lol

"No one has an advantage"

Bullshit. I am sorry but having the Clinton name certainly opened up plenty of advantages for her just like Bush Jr. having the Bush name opened up a hell of a lot of doors that he shouldn't have seen.

That ticket has the chance to completely change the landscape of American politics for a very long time.

Yeah, I'm surprised by the civility tonight. Either you're right or they finally caught on how the media was using the conflict against the whole party.

Does Hillary actually believe what she's saying right now?

We're all judged on our own merits!

BY THE WAY, DON'T YOU REMEMBER HOW AWESOME MY HUSBAND WAS AS PRESIDENT LOL.

Wow what a bastard question @ Clinton.

It's also a softball question. She had to know that at some point it was coming, right? She's probably had the answer memorized for months.

Edit: If there's any one thing that I take away from this debate tonight, it's a sense of relief; the civility shown tonight by the candidates themselves could go a long way in uniting the party for the real fight in the Fall.

I don't think so.

2008-1992 = 30 years.

Hooray for math!

You're forgetting that George H.W. Bush was VP from 80 to 88, and President from 88 to 92.

28 years. Hooray for you making a dumbass out of yourself.

Great line. She's owning Obama :lol

Edit: Oh I was signing at this idea of a "Bush/Clinton dynasty". People don't seem to know what that actually means

Hillary can't have it both ways - she can't make allusions to her husband's presidency while then making the statement that she will be the one to lead, not her husband.

Hillary can benefit from having Obama on board. However, for Obama, it would be a hypocritical move as well as a general election suicide move.
