Way more time than I thought I would, considering I just don't like/have fun with first person shooters by default. This game is apparently a huge fucking exception:

My average lifespan in Strikes was 6min 32 seconds. That doesn't seem good at all. My KDA was 40.1 with 1350 kills and 90 deaths. Most of my deaths came during the fight against the devil trying to get too cute running circles around it.

I loved the alpha to pieces, but I hope the final release looks better graphically. I couldn't shake the feeling that the game should flat out look better than it does. Either way though, I really cannot wait for the beta to hit.

Not payed that much attention to the story, and I'm probably wrong - but damn does the traveller seem evil to me.

Society gets destroyed and this thing shows up just in time to "save" everyone, and humanity is just indoctrinated into this weird-ass cult. Then on the word of the traveller and a talking iphone you go attack a "hostile" alien race who are living in the old colonies.

And look at your reverence! You fools are all buying into it.

When I look at my Strike mission summaries, sometimes it lists upwards of five players. Is it picking up kills made by nearby Guardians when the strike first begins in the open area? Or were people quitting and getting replaced? I wasn't aware that if a random quit during a strike that it would hot swap someone in.

I'm the same. CoD, Battlefield, Half Life. They all leave me cold. Halo and Destiny are awesome.
If I'm to play any FPS, it must have a Bungie logo on the opening it seems.

This Alpha worked wonders for me, I went from "meh, I guess it's a neat game" to "I really need to play this game".

Not sure if i'm going for the Beta, though. I don't want to take the risk of burning out on the game before it finally releases.
