It's really sad that you'd actually believe anyone in America was happy that 9/11 happened.

As pointed out earlier, it was an event of joyous occassion for neocons, who believe that this sets forth the beginning of the return of Christ. I don't think they shed a tear for the large number of Bengalis and Japanese who were in the WTC at the time.

These same neocons would go as far as to label Kerry as a "vote against God". What I find sad that it's hard for you to see this twisted extremism existing in your own country and you don't seem to be aware of it.

It looks like Bush has it won pretty easy .... the networks are milking some drama out of this though. And Kerry's campaign has the very definition of fuzzy math going on. 97% of Ohio reported, down by a good 130,000 .. and they somehow think they have a shot to win? Bush is leading in Iowa, Nevada, and New Mexico too. This thing is ova ,unless there was some sort of voting error.

The damn media makes shit seem so bad or good everyday. The anti-Bush sentiment lin the media has been dominant. Then Bush comes out and kicks Kerry's ass. Can you say own3d?

we can always impeach bush, i'm positive there's lots of illegal things the administration has done regarding the iraq war or some under the table deals with halliburton or the rest of his big business cronies.

i mean if clinton gets put on trial for getting head from a fat girl, then bush should have already been thrown in prison. he only gets away with it because his lies aren't under oath.

Whoa! I must have hit a chord among the Neocons! Again, they didn't know how to respond because I guess they haven't read up on what their "overlords" actually thought of the event.

Fess up guys, just admit it.

not to seem judgmental here but what serious crimes have you committed and what makes you incapable of preventing yourself from committing another crime?

"Whoa! I must have hit a chord among the Neocons!

bush as president will signal the return of Christ? I can't speak for neocons because I've never heard of the rapture being a critical part of that platform.. but as far as right winger christians such as myself I'm pretty sure most of us believe that the rapture will occur when the situation is actually BAD for us Christians... and how is having a Christian conservative president and a conservative controlled congress bad for Christians?

And the 9/11 comment.. talk about going way overboard.. that whole time of my life was a disaster personally.. and to see thousands of people dying live on television with me having no power to stop it.. all the while trying to wrap my head around the shear madness of it all? That event changed the whole way I even viewed the world. I had no concern at all regarding terrorism in the world.. call it my ignorance.. but that event opened my eyes to the world around me.

9/11 sucked for everyone. I thought the entire world was falling apart around me.. the last thing in my mind was that this could be something that my political party could use to augment their power... heck, conservatives don't even believe that the federal government has any real beneficial power... None of it makes sense.

and btw, I forgive you for that callous remark.. I know you aren't thinking clearly right now. Tons of people are VERY upset right now.. I can't wait to walk into work tomorrow and see how the predominantly liberal people around me (UWisconsin Madison campus) react... if any of the even show up. Should be very scary for me.

Goddamn, as much as I love America (and I'm not from America, mind you), it is the only place in the whole damn world where an idiot like Bush can get elected AND re-elected..........

from PNAC'S "Rebuilding America's Defenses" (september 2000) in the chapter "Creating Tomorrow's Dominant Force" (transforming the armed forces for American military preeminence):

"...Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor."

i don't believe that neocons see 9/11 as some kind of 'coming of Christ' but i'm sure noone supporting PNAC (again - Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Perle etc) shed a tear on that day. hey, i might be wrong. but i wouldn't trust em :p

I've been in therapy because of 9/11. How fucking smug of you. The way you are throwing around "you" I guess you don't even live in the US? Fuck you dude, whoever you are and wherever you live. You don't know shit about how 9/11 affected me, a conservative, and to claim that neocons were cheering around the country on 9/11 is just uninformed. Unless you changed nicks, you weren't here during 9/11. I was. Lots of people were. There was NO CHEERING.

Fucking jackass, I've been banned for so much less than that it's not even funny.

Well, the 3% that's left doesn't count the perhaps couple hundred thousand provisional ballots that will not be counted for 11 days.

It's highly unlikely that those votes will turn anything around, but if you're the Democrats, you have to try it, and I think CNN and CBS are smart not to call it just because it is clearly going to remain in play probably for the next several days and perhaps up to even two weeks. I don't think Kerry is going to win it. I'm pretty sure Bush has been re-elected. But the Dems HAVE to try.

Actually, I voted for Badnarik (one of about 8,000 in Missouri, go me). It does look like you have "hit a chord" with people. Then again, posting stupid shit usually seems to cause that.

It's a sad day....Not even words anymore.

I'm fairly moderate, but Bush has made so many bad decisions and decisions based primarily on faith that I just cannot believe he's been re-elected.

I never really thought it would happen.

This isn't suprising when you consider that most of this country know nothing at all about the issues.

Thanks julls for clearing up my mind.

Their responses hinted that they weren't interested in discussion, but would rather remain in ignorance.

Perhaps they will learn and will educate themselves.

Reading these few sentences, I may seem a bit condecending, but after their responses I think I can be... for now :)

You know what? I don't think a single person in this thread said that. I'd wager one shiny nickel on that.

George W. Bush, Rep (i) 2,736,850 (51%)
John F. Kerry, Dem 2,599,244 (48.5%)

The margin is just continuing to increase -- by the time that final 2.1% is reported it will likely be something like 51.5% to 48% I'd bet. Kerry and the Democrats look so pathetic tonight.. and people like ErasureAcer who are holding onto this phantom hope.. oh it's a joy to behold.

Jesus, you give us Liberals a bad name. While I think it is probable that Cheney and Co. ceased on 9/11 to go to Iraq, I don't think they were 'joyous' that thousands of people died and that America was wounded.

I guess we could just say that this is politics, and things will be alright anyway, and it doesn't matter THAT much. But for some people, this will directly impact their lives in fairly significant ways. And to those, my condolences.

I'd be pretty apprehensive about the next 4..looking at the growing senate and house majorities, the popular endorsement as well as the electoral. This will also be Bush's last term, so he has nothing to lose.

Even sadder than this outcome, is that you seem to revel in your country being so utterly divided.

What does that have to do with anything?

Maybe this is what YOU saw:

I'm not so happy that Bush won that I'm happy that all these alarmist liberals in this thread in fact ("OMG NUKE THE WHOLE WORLD IN 6 MONTHS IF BUSH IS ELECTED") are angry.

LOL - I love Bush haters. It's funny listening to people acting like getting a new president suddenly makes a damn bit of difference. I'm 20 and I can't think of a single thing a change of president has directly effected me in life. Maybe I got a couple bucks more or less on a tax return, and thats it.

Damn, its only another 8 years before the shadow government takes over in 2012 .. so whats that difference anyway? :D

Maybe because the mods don't have a problem reading, as you do. I never claimed that "DJ_Tet" was "cheering" on 9/11. Never.

Heck, I never claimed that anyone was "cheering".

I'm a conservative as well, but that doesn't make me a Republican, or worse, a neocon.

What I do know is that there are many Americans that profited in many ways from what happened on September 11, 2001. All of these people belong to the same camp, the same religious and political ideology.

The fact that I share this fact with you, and you blow a load over it, is quite interesting.

Jesus, you give us Liberals a bad name. While I think it is probable that Cheney and Co. ceased on 9/11 to go to Iraq, I don't think they were 'joyous' that thousands of people died and that America was wounded.

I'm not a Liberal. Secondly, I never used the word "joyous". What I meant by the grin was that they knew that this was their "excuse" to do something.

But for now, I'll just laugh at the fact you're laughing at Democrats for the same bullshit you pull as a Nintendo fanboy.

How can stupid John Kerry's campaign contest Ohio count if they didnt' even win popular votes?

Good to see liberals and socialists thoroughly owned tonight.
