mourinho is really pathetic with all this crying about playing against 10.

Oh, now they are watering the field lololol, that usually should happen before the match xD

The reason that i cared about ball possesion was that i wanted to say that they were playing counterattack.

I can totally see that wou think that defensive football deserves the same respect, Chelsea, Italy and Inter is just as worthy winner when they win playing counterattack as barca is when they win playing a possesion heavy game. I was simply saying that it isnt very Real Madrid like, they just as barca used to view themselfs as being above that and the club and the fans valued playing a technique and possesion heavy game, especially on home turf.

But sure if you dont care about those ideals then i understand.

Basically I don't understand them, you can't always had a Zidane and Redondo in your team that almost they alone can make a whole team play that good.

Some people wanted to play like Barça for years, but we don't have the players (I don't think there's players with the quality of Xavi and Iniesta in the world) and it showed during the last years that we can't. So for the first time in svereal years we have a team that can win something...fuck the past.

Also the most important ideal is still there:Never give up, and it showed today. (the so called around here "Espiritu de Juanito" lol)

I agree with this. Didn't Capello win La Liga, but was fired because the style of which is was won didn't go over well with the club?

I'd much rather see Real play attacking football. It's not like they don't have the players to do it.

You mean the first time or the second time he was around here?...the first time he wanted to leave, the second time...we'll you're partially right, Madrid was kinda obssesed with playing the same football of Barça, but that Madrid...was playing way worst than Mou's team, by far. Not even in defense....seriously, Madrid back then was all effort and ...luck.

I think all the Spanish national team players are quite friendly and I have a feeling the other are as well. It's unfortunate that if this sort of 'passion' is not shown on the pitch, the Barca/Madrid papers will start attacking them.

To be fair, Real's record and basis of sacking managers in not exactly fair minded.

Real played an okay game I thought. Yes Barca had more possession, but they always will and the stats can be deceiving. I dont think one team outplayed the other. Real used the right tactics, they could have maybe had Ozil ahead of Khedira or something, but you can't expect them or anybody to hold a high line and attack Barca; that is suicide. Barca are the best offensive team around, it's not wise to commit great numbers forward.

Real's counter attacking tactics were okay I thought. The main problem for the fluency of the game was the constant fouls and time wasting.

Palermo played like Palermo for the first time in months.

Inter got their ass handed to them by Parma!

Napoli/Udinese is gonna be so good tomorrow.
Thanks for the heads up, will definitely watch that game tomorrow. They're 3rd and 4th, right?

Most teams have a very hard time playing against Barça with 11 men.
well that is probably related to having the ball most of the time.
Madrid - 20 fouls
barça - 12 fouls
madrid -2 cards
barça - 5 cards

Cry moar Mou

They do, see Ozil. And they played great 10 vs 11.

But they are too stupid to see it. Look forward to three more 11 vs 11 with a scared Real on defensive football.

Nah, most teams are shit scared of facing Barça with not a full-defense approach. Thus hard time to keep Barça from scoring in 90 minutes if you play like that.

If you do try to play, then with a great Barça you can be annihilated but with a bad Barça you can win. They just don't try.

Ah Khedira, if only you would know how to shoot the ball. That was close at the end.
Still, he played great today

And we need more Marcelo playing offensive.

Good job Palermo! Now Juve can be 6th instead of Roma :P
:(

They're 3rd and 4th, right?

2nd and 5th.

HAHA look at Sergio initiating a diving pose.

But seriously that picture sums up Pepe's heroic performance.

Oh and hopefully Puyol is not injured again ? Did they say what was wrong with him

I normally hate him but Pepe was ... surprisingly decent actually :o

only lost sight of Messi once, no stupid overly agressive tackles, great defensive positioning and had some nice rushes as well

Messi and Ronaldo had issues, Di Maria and Villa both seemed kinda worthless even lol

furthermore I hope Afellay can become as good as Özil is at the moment :p

Yes...he's the pathetic one. Not the person bitching about him on the internet.

Entertaining match. Madrid attacked and somehow got better with a man down. Drama all the way until the final whistle. Overall, great day for football.

Good football =/= barcelona.

I get bored to death watching barcelona play.

Really? Nothing left to say then.

I could watch Xavi, Iniesta and Messi all day long...sublime. For REAL, Ozil and that's it.

Ronaldo is not as exciting to watch out of a UTD shirt and that's coming from a Liverpool fan.

yeah sure his press conference was very instructive xD

aha. it is always better to see players running after the ball like chicken without head as we say here xD

Didn't even realize where the ball went during the match.

What the fuck, Messi?

he lost his nerves, he should've been booked and i hope Guardiola warns him about that behaviour And it would be nice if he apologises when he gets the chance

I didn't know there was a direct relation with the number of fouls and number of cards... Or is this a new rule for football?

well, usually fouls are what the reason why players get carded. There are other ones of course. it seems that is more important whining than kicking though xD

I like dynamic counter attacking football.

Those 3 are great players, but the style of play enforced by barca is not to my liking.

Then there is the holier than thou attitude "mes que un club".

Yeah right, you have the same lack of values and cheat like everyone else in the game, get down from your high horse.

And no, I'm not a madrid fan.

Real Madrid did good getting the draw.

Now they have some sort of moral momentum, like Morpheus said to trinity about Neo, "They are starting to believe."

Importantly Aston Villa poke our noses into the top half of the table. Yet we are still only 8 points from the bottom. Crazy season.

Great win, I fucking love Darren Bent, you can just trust the man in front of goal.

Going to other forums it is amazing the amount of bitching coming from Barcelona fans.

"They didn't trim the grass! They didn't water it either!"

"Mourinho was playing catenaccio!"

"Madrid can only score on penalties against us!"

"Pepe should have been booked twice!"

Not to say that Real Madrid fans are any better, but I didn't expect this amount of whine from one not as optimal result.

I aint whinin. fair result. Barca are still are at top. 1 draw won't jeopardize their chances at winning the league other than Mou Mou's chances.

also, you damn scousers better beat Le 'Arse tomorrow (or later on today in Uk time). Or earn a draw. I will be watching this game. Should be quite good.

They have no reason to whine. Barça seemed content to win the game 1-0 and Madrid played much better being a man down. The tying goal, whether a debatable penalty or not, was inevitable.

Watching Milan v. Sampdoria was pretty great just for watching the crowd's reaction when the Inter v. Parma goals were reported to the stadium. Pretty funny stuff, the crowd was cheering and the players on the field were laughing.

Also it was nice to see Pirlo back on the pitch, even if he didn't get to participate in any real chances.

Very sad to see Necaxa getting relegated. I was never a fan of them, but they don't deserve the treatment they got as second-fiddle to América.

I was recently watching a short about Pep Guardiola's time in Dorados de Culiacán and it was heartbreaking to see how he couldn't comprehend Dorados going down despite there being seven or so teams below them in the points table. The Mexican football system is a joke.

Just saw the chance that Real Madrid gave to Villa at 93 minutes...Absolutely stupid. Earlier in the game thats 100% a goal.

Villa was horrible. If he had been in his Spain form, he could have netted 1-2 goals. But I guess it goes the other way too. Di Maria ruined like 4 good Real counter attacks. He really needs to improve his decision making.

And this pic is awesome:

Looking forward to the game later on today. Win or lose, I'll be surprised if it's not a good one.

Whilst Arsenal do have a tendency to implode, even on our recent form I'm not stupid enough to assume we'll definitely come away with a win, especially away from home.

Win would be nice though, could do with the points :P.

I can't wait to wake up to a nice bowl of oatmeal and the Arsenal-Liverpool game. Come on Gunners!

I'm a neutral on this game, it's gonna be great.

Got my money on an intense game, and a 1-2

Want Liverpool to win today, but wouldn't care much should Arsenal edge 3 points closer to United. Would be nice to just have a good attacking game from both sides.

Also, respect to Wilshire and Cesc for mentioning the 96 two days ago on their Twitter.

Més que un club has nothing to do with values, is related to what Barça meant when Franco was in power an the club was one of the ways catalan culture could stay alive. It is not related to the sport itself really.

as if this forum was different, all the time complaining about diving, referees and possesion means nothing and forgeting about those complains when their fav team is the one playing,
