Looking good! Was a PES fan throughout the PS2 and looks like I'm going to be a FIFA fan throughout the PS3.h0pper said:tons of new stuff on FIFA09 over at www.fifasoccerblog.com
I have to admit, it looks VERY good. I just got into PES like this year, but if they don't make some huge improvements, EA will kill that franchise off. The gameplay in FIFA09 looks very fun.
Animations are very realistic as well.
They even got Ronaldo's free kick stance into the game

He grew up here up until his early teens, has dual-citizenship, and we always have problems up top. US fans have been pining for him for years, but he really has no interest. It's just frustrating to let one get away when we have so few high level attackers. Funny that he might line up with Altidore this season.celestial body said:Surely America doesn't want a 97% Italian in its team?

The field was terrible. One of the worst I've seen. Probably hurt the Dutch more than us, though. :lolGuileless said:Really sweet goal by Klestjan off the assist from Adu though. The field looked like ass in HD, like the rough at a poorly maintained public golf course.

Sounds like the US is through with a win, draw or a Dutch loss on Wednesday.
Yup, that's him.velvet_nitemare said:Isn't that the dude with the hilarious "Know peace" pic.
Heh. I'm worried about Adu and Bradley being out. Not sure how much offense we can generate without Freddy. Bradley is less of a miss because we can put in Szetela or Failharder for him. Overall, I'm starting to question Nowak's decisions on defense. Edu's playing out of position (should be in center midfield) and Orozco should be playing center but he's at left back. Maybe bringing Pearce and leaving McHead at home might have worked better. Oh well, I'll stop complaining if we manage to qualify for the 2nd round.Anyway, Nigeria VS USA should be good fun. I'll try to stay neutral.:lol
Doctor told him to wear it for 2 years I think, but I believe he's said in interviews that he plans to keep it on. I love how Adidas flipped out when he first wore the CCC hat and they went in and custom made him a helmet.Cedeo said:Maybe he should wear a hat like Cech.

It should be a pretty entertaining match. I'm very, very nervous. I mean, to think that this one game could mean us going home, us losing to Argentina in the Round of 8, us winning the group and having an okay shot at a medal, and to think that Nowak is going to have to do more than just watch the game... I'm practically shaking here.velvet_nitemare said:Anyway, Nigeria VS USA should be good fun. I'll try to stay neutral.:lol

I have very little faith in Nowak. What's Nigeria's situation? Are they through on a draw, or out with a draw if Holland win?the disgruntled gamer said:It should be a pretty entertaining match. :lol He has so many girls screaming at him during his Quakes match. They all waited for him next to the tunnel. The good news is that I get to watch two Crew players in the game, Rogers and Ekpo. Man, I have such a man crush on Rogers. Geez, I just want to 'boop' his nose.
He hasn't had a great tournament so far, but he played well today (sprung Kljestan) and drew plenty of coverage that opened it up for other players.Karakand said:Adu has been pretty effectively neutralized. Not sure if it's as big a loss as everyone is making it out to be.

Posted this in the olympics thread, things have the potential to get hairy. Of course, if we win, we automatically win the group, so let's just go for that.
