For what it's worth, guys, I kinda dug the game. I realize it's not going to be everybody's cuppa tea, but I basically saw it as the equivalent of a summer blockbuster; pretty as hell, some solid acting and a storyline that's good enough to support the gameplay, but not something that most will play 20 times. It's not God of War, nor is it Ninja Gaiden, but it's pretty swanky nonetheless.

I've seen that pic, and it's amazing, but in motion that scene in HS ad looks a bit too real, and definitely much, much more realistic looking than the rest of the ad. It would be an overkill to render something like that - I think it's just a real person with some extra post processed airbrushing to make her look a bit fake.steve said:

Fuck, man, sorry about that. I have a pretty low tolerance for self-whoring and I just added to it with my post, so apologies. Thanks for the complements, though I still think my review could have been more specific. I played through it again during the weekend after beating it like a couple weeks ago and it really stuck with me. Guess I'm a sucker for them cutscenes.

Oh I will be getting this game doesn't matter if its 8hrs long to me that will probably turn to at least 24hrs plus since I replay the hell out of these types of games like DMC , otogi, ninja gaiden, and God of War.
BTW Nariko is freaking hot just wanted to get that out there if it hasn't been said already!

Yeah, she's weirdly hot in the game. Normally I don't go for the whole "girl kicking ass" thing because it's almost always a horrible, horrible cliche-ridden, painfully-written series of catchphrases and scenes mean to show dem boobz. HS, impressively, still makes Nariko hot, but without a lot of that stuff, and it's a little... odd.
I mean, what was the last girl considered both sexy and genuinely strong in cinema? La Femme Nikita? I dunno, I'm just curious.

Bishop, can you check to see if you can listen to the music score? Maybe see if there is an option under the settings or extras menu that lets you listen to the soundtrack. Also on average how long are the cut scenes?

And the cutscenes are anywhere from a few seconds to almost to a minute to a couple of minutes. They're thrown in fairly regularly, but the big moments are sparse.

Dude, it was a review, a personal opinion on something. I didn't see any glaring issues with what the reviewer said about the game, and to be perfectly honest they won't be the only one that feels the same way. I'm in the minority in liking the game as much as I did, and it's because it sucessfully suspended my normally critical impulse due to it being really fucking pretty and having some great cutscenes. Those walking into the game expecting something to overthrow Ninja Gaiden are going to be sorely mistaken.
