The anchors said right after the trailer that there are several "surprise cameos" in the movie, so I'm guessing the stuff about Connery and Rhys-Davies not being in the movie was probably BS.

Eh. I guess I'd be more excited if I were a bigger fan of Raiders' style, which this appears to follow. Temple of Doom is really the only Indy movie I like.

::Gives you a sword to fight off the haters::

Good luck, my friend.

The trailer looks great. Can't way for May 22nd to get here. I'm enjoying the GAF reaction considering how many people around here have doubted the film since it's been announced.

:lol Jesus christ, I say one thing about flag waving and people jump all over me. I liked the trailer, damn!

It was kind of a silly comment on your part though. We see one flag and you extrapolate it to a level that wasn't warranted from what we've seen. And, in the context of the movie, it is the cold war, when there was a lot of nationalism on both sides.

The hate crew hasn't gotten out of bed yet.

Don't worry. They'll be here soon to pick it all apart.

That was absolutely fan-tastic.

After the amount of ass Indy kicked in this trailer, maybe the "he looks old" crowd will finally shut up a bit :P

*edit* oh and yeah, that jungle chase and stone blocks jumping in the temple really reminded me of Uncharted! Camera angles and all. :lol

well, there, I didn't know that. I thought we were getting some more middle eastern action, kinda making the US stuff out of place. Plus, it was like, 2 am, my mind wasn't exactly functioning optimally. So, now that that is cleared out of the way, every one can CHILL.

Fair enough! :) I think every one is a bit touchy because of all the anti-U.S. sentiment that gets thrown around here all the time. Your comment just touched a nerve.

Probably so. But I'm a huge fan, was even watching Temple of Doom last night, and the teaser was even better than I was expecting. The hate crew will have to really not like Indy to hate on this.

I didn't actually think this teaser was that great...

It doesn't really look like an Indiana Jones movie. It looks completely different.

I wasn't really feeling the "He saved the civilization. He conquered evil." Or whatever that text said at the beginning. The first half of the trailer seemed like it was going to be for National Treasure 3 or something.

I'll still be there day 1, but I'm hoping for a better trailer down the line.

Totally. I'm itching to play Uncharted after watching that. Maybe Naughty Dog should have held the game back until this was released in theaters?

oh my god, i had a huge grin on my face the whole time. it looks like an indiana jones movie!

:o

ford looks great. everything looks fantastic and spot on. holy shit

I need a direct HD .wmv link, streaming sucks and QT looks washed out on my monitor for some reason, it has for quite some time now for some reason. Maybe it's a bad or missing codec.

Well, this is a teaser, but not sure how you can say it didn't feel like an Indiana Jones movie. It had all the elements to me, with a few exceptions like the Nazi's getting replaced by the Commies, and so on.

My only real complaint is that I would have liked to have seen more Karen Allen! :D

I think it has more to do to the fact Indiana Jones has always been patriotic-free. I don't remember a single flag waving scene in the other movies, or characters talking about how great America is etc etc, and the third one had an American as villain. So I'm not saying it's annoying or something, it's just that Indy never showed such cheesy stuff. Then again, I'm not bothered

Yeah, I was talking cinematography.

Everything else is in place, I just don't think it looks anything like the old ones.

That statement is going to bring out the people who have already in this thread said that it isn't supposed to look like the other ones or whatever, but...whatever. It still doesn't look like the old ones.

Part of it might be because I'm not used to seeing Indiana Jones in HD. Everything looks different in HD. I'm used to the grainy 80s look.

No, you just need to go into your video card settings and adjust video playback. I had to do the same on my 8800. Drop the gamma a bit and up the contrast to get close to where you want. Tweak it as you need to. Trust me, you CAN get a beautiful picture out of it.

Remember, though, that the old ones barely had any scenes in the United States.

AMAZING, but still the cinematography is too 'dynamic' for Indy

Maybe the flag waving is only there because indy is releasing on memorial day?

I'll try that, thanks.
