Did Kobe get hurt or something? Yahoo has him at 32 minutes played for the past 9 minutes of the 4th.

Whoa, ok, forget it-- Yahoo just bumped his minutes from 32 to 39 in one second lol. Guess they just had a glitch or something.

Being a warriors fan sucks. But, they are starting to play really well together (it's kinda hard to see how well they are as a team, when they are playing the T-wolves tho hehe).

Ah well, I hope next year B. Davis can start as Point, cuz J-Rich is finally stepping up his game at SG, scorin 24+ a night.

I think the firing of Cheeks was a good idea. Actually, I wish he was fired during the off-season. Enough with the "he's a good guy" crap. Coaches aren't supposed to be "good guys," they're supposed to be good coaches. Cheeks' problem was that he thought of himself as one of the guys, more than as the coach. Also firing him now, and putting their player personnal director as the coach, will help figure out who should stay and who goes.

I don't know how many of you follow the Blazers really closely, but I've been a die-hard Blazer forever. And there's a lot of things you don't see on ESPN and crap like that. Miles was signed to a big contract, because he flashed the potential everyone said he had. Also he WAS Paul Allen's favorite player. Ratliff was signed to a nice contract, because the fans around here love him. Also he was the only Blazer to ever play good defense. And seriously, the organization probably cares more about making fans happy than winning. Which you would think winning makes fans happy, but around here, fans would rather have a losing team full of players they like, than a team who's winning with players they don't like. The Randolph contract.. that on the other hand, was just dumb. He can score, but he sucks at passing, defense, and anything other than shooting.

I could go on and on about the Blazers, but I think i'm about the only person here who cares about the Blazers.. well maybe Fifty kinda does I think. To sum it up.. Cheeks gone, is a good idea and I support it 100%.

Expand on your thoughts. I'm interested and I care about the Blazers. Any team that Pippen played for is a good team in my books.

Haha, ok maybe there's more than one or two people who care the Blazers...

Well let me get one thing off my chest.. The term "JailBlazers" sure was funny.. for like a month. Yeah, Damon is still on the team and we all know what he did, but since his last run in, he's been clean. Also all the money he gave to the Blazers, went to charity. Plus he donated his own money to double that. So besides Damon, who on a personal level is actually a really nice guy, gives A LOT back to the community, and can be a great leader on the court, who else on the team is really THAT bad?

The whole Miles thing was ridiculous. Yeah he blew up, but seriously is this the first time a player has yelled at a coach or that a player and coach have fought? (Don't make me start listing people.) The ONLY reason this was so big is because everything that happens to Portland is HUGE. The Blazers are the only pro team in the whole state. Any little incident turns into something big. Take the whole Zach Randolph thing during the summer. His BROTHER gets arrested, and somehow Zach is the one getting in trouble with the media. Yeah he's an idiot for being there, but he did nothing wrong. Again, the Portland media going crazy over something, because they have nothing else to talk about. And I know a lot of people think that the Blazers chose to side with Miles over Cheeks, but what else could they have done? Suspend him for the whole season or get rid of him for getting mad? Come on now, it's not like he beat up fans, was accused of rape, choked a coach or punched a rookie for outplaying him in practice...

Ok, i'm not trying to make excuses for everything that happens in Portland, but some of you HAVE to admit, that some of the stuff that happens in Portland, wouldn't be as big if it was in another city.

And for those who still the term JailBlazers applies to them, I wanna know why. Of the players they still have, I can think of only Damon and Ruben as the only ones who have been convicted of anything worth mentioning.

The pregame prayer before all Hornets home games was performed by an evangelist who pleaded for a victory and blamed supernatural powers for New Orleans' struggles this season. ``Satan, take your hands off this team!'' bellowed Carol Thomas. ``This is a first-class team!'' ... The Hornets broke a four-game skid and won for the first time in 10 tries with their alternative ``Mardi Gras gold'' uniforms.

I'm a religious guy but I think playing Charlotte helped too :lol

Hey. Who punched a rookie for being outplayed in practice?? I've never heard this story.

Garnett punched a rookie named Rick Rickert I think. I don't have a link right now, but I know someone else does.

Eminem, isn't the bet up now? I am too lazy to go look up old ass NFL threads, but I thought we agreed the bet went up until 3/3?

Please let the bet be over....

Damnit. Pistons suck at perimeter defense. 11 fucking 3's the Suns shot. 11/20. That should not happen. The guards always close in leaving wide open men. It happens game after game and I know it pisses LB off but he apparently isn't beating it into their heads enough.

I would blame this on Big Ben, but he is only a rookie. Instead I will direct my hatred towards Tom F'in Brady.

Same bet next year Em! :D

how about this, since i am by no means a pats fan...same bet, but it's just whatever team goes further: colts or steelers. same thing, winner picks the loser's avatar.

Gary Payton returned to the Boston Celtics on Friday, one week after the Celtics sent him to the Atlanta Hawks in a trade for Antoine Walker. Payton re-signed with the Celtics after the Hawks waived him and was on the court at the Celtics' practice facility in Waltham on Friday morning, team spokesman Jeff Twiss said.

Wierd, wasn't Payton bitching before the season started and saying he wouldn't play for the Celts? I guess he's happy since they are winning?

Also, Tom Gugliotta is STILL playing? :lol GOOGS!

There were rumors about Payton coming to Phoenix and I kind of hoped they'd be true. We really need an experienced back up point guard. Oh well.

Yesterdays game was pretty good. I was happy that the Suns showed that they can play a little D in crunchtime. Gives me a little hope going into the playoffs.
