I don't even remember White last year. Man our O-Line had so many injuries last year. Hopefully with Moffit, Carpenter, Okung and Gallery we should be a little more stable.

We upgraded our line, and our WR and re-signed pretty much all our key free agents.

Fun fact, the Seahawks are currently the SECOND YOUNGEST team in the NFL. The only team that is younger is Tampa.

you guys have no QB. i would take kaepernick over any of the qb's on your roster and kaepernick hasn't played a down in the NFL.

take away leon washington and you guys were a 4 win team last year. i don't see the seachickens doing much this year but then again i didn't see them doing much last year.... and they didn't except they play in the nfc west and the saints suck dick

Did the world's foremost Alex Smith apologist just try and diss another team's QB situation?

I'm sorry FMT, I think your tiny hands made your post impossible to read.

Edit: If you think Kaepernick is more NFL ready right now than T-Jack or Clipboard Jesus then I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. Dude has the physical tools but he played in a gimmick offense in a weak conference and had some good RBs around him as well. Unless Harbaugh plans on running the pistol and playing Wyoming every weekend Kaepernick has some work to do.

when that qb situation is tavaris jackson and charlie whitehurst i will diss it all day long with no regrets my friend!

didn't say he was more ready at this exact moment in time. but if you said "hey fmt, you're the coach of this team. do you want kaepernick, whitehurst or tjack?" i would choose kaepernick and you would too. you already know what you're getting with charlie and tjack: 100% mediocrity at best. with kaepernick maybe he's going to be mediocre but maybe not! i'd roll the dice on that rather than going with the sure-failure of whitehurst/jackson

Hue Jack City has the team practicing the same way the ravens do. Our defense will be a top 3 D and Hue will take us to the playoffs.

The big question mark is our passing game.

I dont think they will. Eskin today said they still hold DJax's rights after this year so they are going to let him play out this year and then franchise him.

Oh god I hope not. Considering how diva like he already is if he plays the season angry or with the contract on his mind it could turn ugly. And we really really need him considering how much Reid likes to pass. I don't want to rely on Maclin and Avant alone.

Please pay the man. He has earned it.

Eagles need a tailback. Jonathan Stewart's still on his rookie contract. Asante for Stewart with picks/pieces to fill in the gaps would make a lot of sense for both teams - especially in this (seemingly) new era where player trades actually work out.

Hooray new cap rules.

JABEE said:
I want the Eagles to sign Stephen Tulloch.

Yes. That would be the cherry on top.

And I doubt Eagles pick up a back up RB of the level of Stewart. They barely run the ball with McCoy and at most they need a solid back up in case he gets hurt or to give him a breather. I would be much happier if they signed Kuhn.

Kuhn, Tulloch, and resigning Vick and DJAX should be enough. I would love to have Plax but only after those moves are made.

Don't know if it has been posted, but we also signed Evan Mathis, OL formerly of the Bengals. Might be a depth signing/msg to Watkins to get his contract signed and his ass into camp.

The Eagles signed OG Evan Mathis today. I would ask Bengals fans if they know anything about him, but well I cant imagine there are any Bengals fans left.

Edit: Dammit beaten by seconds again.

Just woke up to find out Rex Ryan is personally picking up Todd Heap from the airport. Nice weapon for Sanchez.

Keller + Heap dynamic. Heap could be Ryans answer to Edwards. 6'5 TE for the end zone and to stop teams from double teaming Holmes. Moves Cotchery to #2 WR possibly.

Would like to see Heap signed today, most people that go into Florham Park don't come out without a contract LOL.

Detroit Lions signed Stephen Tulloch!

YES YES YES

Nick Barnett is also in town today. TOTAL revamp on the linebacker corps.

I really thought that the Ravens would re-sign him after the cleared all that space and didnt sign anyone else. Heap is such a good signing for the Jets if they get him.

Edit: Congrats to the Lions also. I heard the Eagles talked to his agent but that he was asking for way more money then they wanted to pay. I will be interested to hear the terms of his deal.

Jets sign Plax 1 year deal.

Adam Schefter
Filed to ESPN: Plaxico Burress will sign with the N.Y. Jets. Confirmed. 1-year deal for $3,017,000, fully guaranteed. Plax is a Jet.

I think that's a good signing for the Jets. He's been away for a while but he can help Sanchez.

Newbie question alert:

Hi guys, I started to follow NFL last season & I can't wait for the 2011 Season to finally start!
In the UK it's pretty had to keep up to date with weekly games so I was wondering if in the States there's a weekly round-up show with highlights from every game?
I would have to download it via torrent as there isn;t anything shown on british TV.
Any help would be great!

Still haven't seen this updated on the tracker I've been using, but if so that is a big HELL yes, especially since we'd apparently been considered out of the running earlier this week. If we land both Tulloch and Barnett, this would go for me from "might as well not have done anything" to "heck yeah we came through this pretty well."

Still a bit worried that we haven't heard any word about attempts to re-sign Chris Houston, but maybe at least we can put together a nasty front-7. We'll need to force quick passes because any deep threat will destroy us otherwise.

The Lions did not immediately return a phone call about the signing, and Tulloch’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, hung up when reached by a reporter.

Classic Rosenhaus.

No way Detroit signs Barnett now with the signing of Durant and Tulloch.

Now we just need a CB.

PFT reported it, the Free Press is reporting it, and the same Chicago Sun-Times reporter who broke the news on the Durant signing is the one who broke this one. I'd be heartbroken if it was false.

I'm worried about not hearing about Houston as well, although I haven't heard any rumors anywhere about him. Detroit's coaching staff seems really impressed with the CBs they have now but I'd still be shocked if they didn't bring in another FA.

I say trade for Asante.

It is a good signing but why not bring back Edwards? Cancer in the locker room?

Plax staying in NYC will create a great media circus.

NFL Total Access on the NFL Network goes over all the games that have finished at that point. Like Monday's show will be all about the Sunday games, and Tuesdays show tends to focus on the Monday night game. NFL Live on ESPN also does a quick recap of the weeks games.

Didn't it take a full year before Vick was back in shape? Don't think this move will work out for the Jets, but like the Pats low risk/high reward.

Jets should be used to the media circus with Rex already. So that part should be a non issue.

I just hope Mario and Hakeem stay healthy. I am fine with guys like Hixon, Jernigan, and Cruz as 3, 4, and 5, but they can't be counted on to start for long lengths. Hixon might be able to a game or so, depending who the Giants face, but the depth gets smaller with Barden questioned.

Maybe a ST player like Devin Thomas makes it until Smith gets off PUP.

Yeah Vick has really slow and out of shape the first year. He came in at the end of camp though so Plax is signing earlier which should help.

I think Showtime's Inside the NFL is trying to be what you're looking for, but I don't like that program very much. They seem to dramatize every game like it was the battle of Normandy. I'd prefer to glean what you can from ESPN's NFL Live.

Either that or he wanted too much money.

I'm trying hard not to get too overhyped about this Tulloch signing. I was excited when we brought Julian Peterson in and he was absolutely terrible.

That said, it would be so nice to see a competent LB group this year. Would be the first time Detroit fielded one in almost ten years. That front 7 could be near the top of the league.

Edit: It's a one-year deal worth $3.25 million.

Ugh. Next year we're going to be right back where we started.

I kind of get the one-year deals, though--contracts are being way overblown this year. I wonder if they're just taking a chance that next year teams will be closer together under the cap range that there won't be as many giganto-deals.

Alright Ted....

Wow. Not bad. 1-yr deal. If they get Heap done then they are looking pretty good on offense right now. Just hope Plax can be football ready.

The game highlights on NFL.com are pretty good.

Otherwise you might find some streams. In the last years I could always watch the 1 P.M. sunday games live, which start at 7 P.M. in Germany (6 P.M. in the UK?)

Wow. Money wise that is an awesome deal , especially with our needs. It is funny how Tillich signed right before Barnett arrival.

they should have enough money left for Houston.

From NYJetsalarycap:

I think the #Jets still have roster space for 6 more bodies so there is still some more work to be done #nyj

Hopefully they can now lock up Cromartie and another safety (although I've heard they might transition Lowery to Safety) and beef up the DL a little more and grab a few insurance offensive lineman.

BigAT said:

You are right it looked like a lot to give up when they got him, but if he played well it would have been a good deal. The fact that they wont even let him compete for the job says a lot about him though.

Damn I just remembered the Pats schedule. They have a killer 6 week stretch.

NFL.com said:
The Pats will visit the Steelers, host the Giants, visit the Jets, host the Chiefs, visit the Eagles, then host the Colts. Each of those teams won at least 10 games in 2010, finishing with a combined record of 63-33.

Lots of great match ups during that stretch. I'm looking forward to crushing the Giants for obvious reason.

After all the talk about teams pursuing Tulloch, the Lions being "out" and then back "in," I really wonder how he ultimately wound up with a one-year deal. His stock is high, he's considered one of the best linebackers in the year's FA-class, and this seemed like it would have been his shot for the payday. Something about this whole thing strikes me as odd and I can't figure out what both sides were thinking here.

After Seahawks asked LB Lofa Tatupu to take a paycut, he asked them to release him. The team now plans to do so, albeit reluctantly.

Jets have put an offer in to Cromartie. Now the waiting the game...

I still think they are going to give him 10Mil a yr.
