To Toronto.
At least you get to enjoy his samurai dance after he makes a tackle seven yards downfield on 3rd and 4.LJ11 said:Not a fan of Barnett, it's too much money for a dude who can't stay healthy, but it's still an upgrade and Moats won't have to fuck around at ILB.
Moats with 8 sacks minimum if these idiots actually give him burn from game 1.
wow he sounds worse than what I thought he wasFrenchMovieTheme said:it is to the point where i would rather have CJ Spillman, a career special teams player, play at FS over goldson. i mean it won't come to that since we have reggie smith but i cannot stress enough that goldson is raw fucking garbage. he can't cover, he's not a ballhawk and he constantly takes shitty angles. i have no idea why he is sought after by anyone. the only thing i can say for him is that he is a WILLING tackler, and has the ability to cause forced fumbles when he actually puts himself in a decent position but that could be said about every FS in the history of football.
i will consider this FA period a success if dashon goldson leaves

I believe this qualifies as a news update: Albert Haynesworth is mauling Patriots OLs, specifically Rich Ohrnberge
God I hope not. The only way he gets enough balls for that is if Finley or Jennings gets hurt.WinoMcCougarstein said:I'm happy jones is back! He can and should be a pro bowl level receiver soon.
And his moronic loud mouth tweets about things like not being in the Super Bowl pic. Not that that will be an issue on the Bills anyway.eznark said:At least you get to enjoy his samurai dance after he makes a tackle seven yards downfield on 3rd and 4.
Yeah thats pretty much what Rogers is doing to Saints Oline. He is exactly what they needed next to Sedrick Ellis. Big Sed had scrub help for a long time and now with Big Baby in the middle plugging up the lanes, that frees up Cameron Jordan and will Smith off the edges. They may actually have a pass rush this year.TheFatOne said:All according to keikaku.Who the fuck is Rich Ohrnberge?
I don't think that's true. He is a guy that, if and it's a BIG if, he catches the ball can find the endzone often. Maybe not a pro bowler with our stacked receiving corps, but he should be very productive.eznark said:God I hope not. The only way he gets enough balls for that is if Finley or Jennings gets hurt.

FUCK YES
With any luck the contract is worded such that he loses $100,000 per dropped TD.eznark said:He now has a three year deal. His soft head is likely exponentially softer...depending on guaranteed dollars.

Hi guys, I started to follow NFL last season & I can't wait for the 2011 Season to finally start!
In the UK it's pretty had to keep up to date with weekly games so I was wondering if in the States there's a weekly round-up show with highlights from every game?
I would have to download it via torrent as there isn;t anything shown on british TV.
Any help would be great!

they literally did not take a single financial risk and yet plugged some holes .
EDIT: They must want tp play for Swartz
Is this guy an upgrade from Olin? I did think Olin was starting to show his age.cuevas said:Bears signed Chris Spencer to a 2 year deal.
We'll see how this goes, I still think we need to pick up another vet.
So true.squicken said:I think the Texans made a bit of a mistake not signing him back. Can't remember the stat, but Lance Z noted they ran a lot more 2 back than most people think. That said, Leach was an awful receiver, so Kubiak probably wants another option when inexplicably going away from a productive ground game

Alright, thats fucking stupid.eznark said:Jesus fucking christ, supposedly signed a deal that will make him the highest paid fullback in the league.
Unlike this morning (right, from AP), the Patriots hit. They practiced in full-pad in a practice that included newly acquired DT Albert Haynesworth.
How did it all go?
Albert Haynesworth was on the field and in the mix. There was no missing that. On his first play during an inside drill, Haynesworth blew up OL Rich Ohrnberger and drove him 5 yards back. On the next play, Haynesworth abused him again. On the first full-team drill, Haynesworths swim move put him in the backfield quick. Still, he didnt participate in that many plays. And he didnt run sprints.
Chad Ochocinco, on the other hand, was completely involved. And he still looks like hes still trying to get on the same page. It still looks like its happening pretty fast for him. He mis-timed one jump, dropped a screen pass, but also had some nice plays. He may simply be adjusting to practice. Late in practice, Pat Chung beat Ochocinco to a spot and knocked the ball out, earning Chung a chest bump from Brandon Spikes.
As the Patriots experiment with a 4-3 look in practice, Brandon Spikes has shined as the middle linebacker. He reads quickly, wades through the trash well and is just hitting guys. I dont know if well see more of the 4-3, but it does look to fit the personnel, especially if Jerod Mayo goes to Will LB, like he played in 2006 at UT.
Two guys who have stood out over two days are CB Leigh Bodden and WR Taylor Price. Bodden has covered extremely well, out-fighting Rob Gronkowski for one pick and looking very solid. Price has caught balls well, but the play that stood out had him shrugging off a mugging by CB Jonathan Wilhite to make a sweet catch. And he caught a long TD from Ryan Mallett to burn CB Thad Turner.
I was actually hoping they didn't.eznark said:fuck me, John Kuhn resigned.

Good read, I'm real excited about Spikes. I love having a young ILB corps as good as Mayo and Spikes.TheFatOne said:Report on Pats practice today from Ian R. Rapoport(Boston Herald).
Albert Haynesworth is out of shape most no surprise, but the most interesting thing I thought was Spikes as the middle linebacker in a 4-3. I thought Spikes might be to slow for that position, but that is definitely an interesting wrinkle on defense. One thing I am going to keep my eye on. It's going to be hard to tell if the Pats are going to make a move to 4-3. Last pre season they played 4-3 a ton,but they were still base 3-4.
Hmmm the Cardinals offense could actually be pretty damn good if they go out and get him. Fitz/Edwards/Breaston/Heap with Kolb and the running backs, that's a good group right there.Soroc said:OMG Edwards finally may have a suitor!
