It is going to be delicious seeing the Packers come down to Earth this year. Would be extra nice seeing the Lions take that division somehow and keep the Packers out of the playoffs...

@Revis24 asked to move Kyle Wilson's locker next to his so he can mentor him more during season.

Really glad to hear Revis is trying to take this kid under his wing. Really hope he improves drastically this year

If Revis wasn't a hold out last season he could have mentored Wilson from the get go and Wilson wouldn't have turned out the way he already has.

If the Packers do happen to struggle this year, I'll just watch the games from last year and thank God that they didn't deliciously come down to Earth before winning the Super Bowl.

Would like to know on what planet Woodhead is that fast. Any help pls.

Woodhead ratings are fine. I thought you guys were making out like he was in the 90's.

He was very under rated before the Pats utilized his strengths.

He is pretty quick, maybe not quite 94 quick but I'd say around 90 def.

What are the tiers for QBs entering this season?

Brady, Manning, Brees, Arod, Ben......Rivers?

Vick, Schaub, Ryan, Eli.....Freeman?

Sanchez, Flacco, Orton, Cassel, Cutler, Stafford?

.......the rest.....

You talkin' fantasy or just standard trashtalk ranks?

It will feel so good when the patriots take their spot as the NFLs best again.
I hope they do well as well, right up until the point that Bill Simmons writes an article that sucks Brady's vagina for 3000 words right before they shit the bed in the divisional, just like last year.

He's lighting it up at camp from the reports that I've read. A couple 60+ yard bombs caught from Sage and our third QB we drafted. Gilbride singled him and Cruz out as standouts at the moment working with the 2nd team offense and said they are fighting for that #3 receiver spot. Both are viable candidates considering where we are in signing Steve Smith and the fact that he's likely to be out 4-6 weeks after the season starts.
Surely, you remember Ryan Perrilloux, the 4-time Heisman Trophy winner?

EAST RUTHERFORD (AP) - CB Kyle Wilson refuses to report to training camp, plans to hold out over "disrespectful" contract.

he's such a douche bag, the 18-1 year was even better for his stupidity:

One crucial anti-jinxing note: So I don't have to keep writing "assuming the Pats eventually win the Super Bowl" throughout the column, we'll shorten that phrase to the acronym "ATPEWTSB." Got it? I don't want to be blamed if this Patriots' season somehow goes to hell.

I think he runs a sub 4.4 40.

The real question is was his speed this high before last season, it's measurable so it should be right? LOL EA

Wellington this is from Woodheads wiki

Pre-draft
Woodhead did not receive an invite to the NFL Scouting Combine so he had to use his pro day to show his abilities. According to a report on NFLDraftWatch.net, he ran the 40-yard dash in times of 4.33 to 4.38 seconds which would have been the second-fastest among all running backs at the NFL Combine in March 2008. He posted the best pro-agility time of 4.03 seconds, the second-best vertical jump (38½ inches) and the best 60-yard shuttle time (11.2 seconds).[citation needed]

The hate against Alex Smith is a little unfair, and for any true Niners' fan who's been aware of the coaching travesties the team has endured in the last 6 years, they'd agree.

Is he a Top 10 QB? Probably not, but give the guy a competent coach who actually understands the position and an offensive scheme that isn't constantly changing and doesn't make HORRIFIC use of the running game, and I'll be willing to bet he'll surprise a lot of people this year.

As a long, LONG time Niners' fan, I'm super happy he's getting another shot.

Here's a prediction: Smith outplays Kolb in 2011.

He's had bad coaches and a horrible O-line, but his accuracy has always been suspect. He is mediocre under center and the only ball that he throws well is the 20-25 yard go route between the hashes to Vernon Davis. Take that route away and the incompletions/interceptions just start piling up. Putting this guy in the west coast offense is a recipe for disaster as it's a system predicated on timing, awareness and accuracy (Smith weaknesses) What's tragic is that I think Smith seems like genuinely a nice guy but he just doesn't have the mental makeup to be a good QB.

Oh and Kolb out played Smith in 2010....

Your NFL Game Pass - Season subscription is currently set to auto-renew on 8/3/11 for the 2011 NFL Season. This e-mail is just a reminder that your account will be billed $239.99 USD at that time (a $10 savings off the 2011 NFL Game Pass Back to Football price!)

Yes or no, boys? This is the only sensible way to watch NFL where I'm based... That's just regular season.

Could be a lot less streaming options with that new law coming into effect, so I'd say it's worth it unless you want to find a sports bar.

My local US bar is full of Ravens fans. I'm still there every Sunday, see how desperate I am?

The Indianapolis Colts continued to pluck former first-round draft picks from the veteran free-agent market.

Their latest acquisition: linebacker Ernie Sims. Todd France, Sims’ agent, confirmed the signing.

Sims was a first-round pick of the Detroit Lions in 2006, the ninth overall pick. The Colts earlier signed defensive end Jamaal Anderson, a 2007 first-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons.

Nope, strangely. Red Zone channel, which is fucking awesome, also not available in the UK. Due to "bandwidth" issues, iirc.
You should ask Wes what he does. Wes, what do you do when you do what you do when you do?

Can someone please tell me why everyone calls Brady a woman?
Pure jealousy. I'm not afraid to admit that i wish i were Tom Brady. I wouldn't even mind being his son, or his wife, just to be in the presence of that much greatness, the likes of which the NFL will never see again.

This slipped past our wide nets of news observation.

Steelers third-year WR Mike Wallace wants to reach the as of now never reached plateau of 2,000 receiving yards. Hall of Fame WR Jerry Rice owns the league record with 1,858 receiving yards.

Brash and bold. Endearing in a way. Let's play along for a minute.

Wallace would need to average 125 receiving yards a game in 16 games to achieve that mark. The recently turned 25-year-old has a two-year average of 20.3 yards per catch, but has only one game with more than 125 yards - a 136 yard performance in a loss against New England last year.

Based on that career 20.3 yards per catch average, Wallace's numbers would be something like 99 catches and 2,009 yards. He'd likely be the MVP of the league, if not for the Rodgers Lust we're likely to endure for another five months.

Relax....it's a joke. There's no way anyone's beating Rodgers for MVP this year, Packers fans. Or the presidency in 2012.

It's not unfair to suggest Wallace could see career highs in yards and catches this year. His route-running has improved and he is becoming more of a legitimate No. 1 receiver - able to run all routes at any distance all over the field. He'll likely see his role expanded even further this year, and while any level that Jerry Rice didn't meet is beyond lofty for any receiver, Yancey Thigpen's franchise record 1,398 yards isn't out of reach.

Maybe Wallace would be ok with that.

lol Wallace okkk...

KFAN saying Vikes have cut Bryant McKinnie. Thank god. Apparently the guy showed up so out of shape that they had to put him in the non-football injury list. Good riddance, asshole.

Weird I thought Ernie Sims was on the team, not a FA, and projected to be a starter.

Oh well its not like he played all that well for us.
