It's really that hard to believe he outperformed Clausen? Alex Smith is an upgrade over Clausen!

Jets announce it has signed free agent defensive back DaJuan Morgan

He is from the Colts but I have no idea if he has had any real playtime or anything.

Any Colts fans familiar with him?

I've read some stuff on him (but still am not terribly familiar with him) and he seems to be pretty forgettable but he's willing to play for the veteran minimum and we need depth at the position.


EDIT: Osi to Denver trade rumors surfacing....

In just day two, fifth-round pick WR Jeremy Kerley is standing out. His routes are crisp and he has been making plays during 11-on-11s and special teams. It's early, but he could prove a solid replacement for WR/KR Brad Smith.

Exactly what I want to see. I'm hoping this kid stands out all of practice/preseason and gets a shot at some regular season playtime.

yeah, he wasn't tough, never threw the ball more than 5 yards downfield, that sort of stuff, not that I agreed with it myself. Art Donovan, while not a peer of Montana's, always had rather colorful commentary on him as a QB, I assumed because he was offended that people started holding him in higher regard than Unitas.

I'd take a second from them for sure. Bound to be at the bottom third of the league. :D

I remember Eric from BBI wanting Gabe during that draft. Can't hurt as a 4th DT, no? If he makes the squad.

I wonder what the DEN trade rumors are about.

nope and we won't. The big thing was getting Free and signed and they did that already. Word is they are still looking at signing two safeties. Only big move they were involved with was with Nnamdi

Sounds like Randall Cobb is finally going to give us a real return threat. THANK GOD! I really like what I'm hearing about this kid and I can't wait to watch him play.

I refuse to get my hopes up for anything involving ST, but I'm excited to see him as well.

Exactly, he needs to hold up for like 5 plays a game or so. If we dont have to use Vick on sweeps on 3rd and 1 anymore it will be a great move. Anything that gets Vick hit less is a bonus.

Word but look on the bright side at least it's not Jordy back there and we don't have to worry about Tramon getting injured on PRs anymore.

30 as a backup isnt a death sentence. backup RB's under Reid dont get much burn anyway.

I'm still hoping Fat Man hits his head, wakes up, decides he needs to run more that will protect Vick better and Ronnie doesn't figure much into the game plan. Maybe Mudd gets Reid excited to run the ball with Shady.
