I'm still hoping Fat Man hits his head, wakes up, decides he needs to run more that will protect Vick better and Ronnie doesn't figure much into the game plan. Maybe Mudd gets Reid excited to run the ball with Shady.

LOL no way do the run more this year. Hell if anything I am expecting ore passing. Maybe the Eagles jump out to big leads and run out the clock.

McCoy isnt built to pound the ball. he had 200 carries and another 80 receptions. His production is so high on so little touches because of the passing game. During the McNabb era i was all for pounding the rock but when you have Vick and this wide open offense, you gotta throw it.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage

Weird I thought Ernie Sims was on the team, not a FA, and projected to be a starter.

Oh well its not like he played all that well for us.

But ESPN said the Eagles were clearly the winner of that trade! How could they be wrong?

As a Lions fan I laughed and laughed when they said that.

Word but look on the bright side at least it's not Jordy back there and we don't have to worry about Tramon getting injured on PRs anymore.
Ah, I know. I cringed every time Tramon had to return knowing who would to replace him if he got injured.

P.S. - the avatar looks sexy

Zach Miller to the Seahawks:

ESPN's John Clayton and Mike Sando are reporting former Raiders TE Zach Miller has reached an agreement with the Seahawks.

EDIT: Kevin Boss soon to be a Raider for stupid money no doubt if Al decides to go after him.

Him and Alex Green are fighting for #1 on KR.

Dare I say we have... 2.... return threats?
Too good to be true. They'll both run towards the ball on a kickoff and collide, broken kneecaps and concussions strewn about. It'll be another season relying on a Jordy Nelson/Tramon Wiliams future.

Ronnie Brown turns 30 this Dec. Can't say how I feel about this.
Make no mistake, McCoy is their starter. Brown taking a one year deal is strictly for him to prove he still has something in the tank. If anything, it's an audition for 2012.

Wow. John Carlson hung out to dry...Raiders need a receiver badly now.

Nice write up from Lance Z on how important Leach was to Arians nsuccess. National media needs to read and realize that while good to have Foster ran BETTER in one back sets.

One of the things you’ll notice quite often when watching zone scheme teams is that RBs will run in 1RB sets more often than 2RB sets and there are a couple of reasons for that. For one, when you play with a FB, you are enticing/allowing defenses to bring an extra defender in the box against the run. Secondly, many runners prefer to have their vision unencumbered while making the reads that will lead to deciding where to go with the ball.

Arian Foster runs with some of the best tempo you will ever see from a zone back and it allows him to remain patient when the Texans run out of the 2RB sets (Leach in the game). Leach made great reads and great blocks and Foster worked extremely well with Leach. There is no denying any of this….. it is fact. With that said, I reached out to Aaron Schatz from FootballOutsiders.com to find out how Foster did with Leach in and out of the game. His answer:

“Believe it or not, he had more ypc with only one back in the game: 5.5ypc with 1 RB, 4.7 ypc with 2 RB. But part of that was the situation — he ran with 1 RB more often when there were more yards to go. When it comes to total efficiency, considering the situation, Foster was basically the same either way.

It does make you wonder, though, if Leach is as worthwhile as people think.”

So Leach is just a damn hamburger.

Seahawks are pretty deep at TE now. Miller, Carlson, Morrah, McCoy.

I'm betting Carlson gets traded.

He has to be. I mean they kept grooming him as a receiving TE. May as well trade him to the Raiders now.

Well, that is one way to get rid of Niner Fans.

If Zach Miller received a long-term deal _ we're still checking _ the hawks could offer TE John Carlson and a draft choice for Osi.
Carlson and a 2nd for Osi? That would be worth entertaning for sure.

Is there any credible source reporting this?
No. Not a single blip on any of twitters feeds from the regulars. It's horseshit until something substantial materializes (which I doubt it will).

EDIT: Here's the Zach Miller contract with the Seahawks: 5 years, $34 million, including $17 million guaranteed.

no. just shit floating out there.

That being said i would trade asante and a 1st rounder for Patrick Willis without hesitation.

Damn...Franklin signs a one year deal to the Saints for less than Franchise tag money? He must've really felt underappreciated by Niners management..
