Does anyone here have ESPN insider? There is an NFL rumor under Asante Samuel saying a thrilling development has occurred late Tuesday afternoon posted at 5:50 PM

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Amid all the Lions optimism, naturally the injury bug strikes.

Nick Fairley most likely has a stress fracture in his foot and won't be ready for 4-6 weeks, meaning all of the preseason is lost.

*sigh*

If it was really big I am pretty sure someone who doesnt charge would have reported it.

'Tis not true though.

Has Stafford gotten injured yet?

No, but there are still 6 weeks of preseason left. I'm betting he stays healthy and Calvin Johnson is the one who gets injured early this year.

Absolutely nothing important. Just that we're entertaining offers from "CB-Needy" franchises, nothing specific.

Summary:
1. NFL.com confirms from Eagles they are listening to Asante trades
2. Asante feeling more alienated by the team as this drags on
3. Eagles management huddling over secret details at camp
4. Browns don't want Asante
5. Jets don't want Asante
6. Wild speculation that Niners want Asante
7. Eagles beat reporter repeating the obvious

Usually, I won't post items behind paid links. It's just bad business, but here's their latest update.

"The Eagles plan is to carry all three CBs for the season," Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports, "unless they get a good trade offer."

THRILLING!!!!!!!

So glad we passed on him for JJ Watt. I love hindsight.

Seriously though, that sucks. Want to see him and Suh play together in a meaningful game.

Nice, from what I've read Harris looked good for Denver before getting hurt. Could be a another low-risk, solid signing.

Same here. They're still pretty deep at DT with Corey Williams and Sammie Lee Hill (who really came on strong last year), though.

Hairline stress fractures can be anywhere from 4-8 weeks, actually, which would really suck.

I just got back from training camp. Kerely and McKnight both looked impressive in kick off duty. Too bad it wont matter.

Also Sanchez was overthrowing his receivers and still sucks.

McElroy was fucking clueless, flagged a dozen times for false starts. Gotta love Schotty's presnap motions :jakncoke.

Eagles are still monitoring LB market. MLB especially.

It's all coming together!

My hunch is based on watching Howie Roseman furously walk circles around the Lehigh fields last night, cell phone attached to his ear.

WTF was Al thinking in not getting Zach Miller signed earlier. I guess DHB better get un-injured soon...

EDIT: lol, didn't notice the Panthers finally signed Derek Anderson. Quality

Why did they pay him 29 guaranteed? On a side note why do I have a feeling they are the one team willing the give the Giants a number 1 pick for Osi.
because he's one of the best linebackers in the league? no one knows who he is because he doesn't talk, but he's easily the best LB on the team and can't think of a lot guys that are better than him.

this is the most important signing the jets made in the off season. theres no way they could have let him test the market, would've gotten huge offers

So you are saying that Deion Branch is an elite wide receiver?

The only Pro Bowl receivers Brady has played with was Terry Glenn, Randy Moss, and Wes Welker. Branch is a good receiver, but far from one of the best.

I'm saying Deion Branch is not a shit a receiver. It's just what came to mind. Why you gotta disagree when we agree?

And fans vote Pro Bowlers in. Why bring it up? :jnc

Al Davis has definitely hit a new low for me. Letting two of your best players that you developed go in the same year and overpaying 1 year wonders in Routt and Wimbley.

Al Davis, you know what's best, keep up the good work.

LOL the Raiders are in a constant state of un-building.

Too bad Miller went to the Seahawks. It would have been awesome if he could showcase his talents on a team with a decent offense. He can do it all.

He will be ok. He will be in pool with weigh off and cardio-vascular. But still big loss for him.

Him and Cable always got along, I think Cable was the one that got him to come out to Seattle. Word is that the Raiders will probably bring in Kevin Boss in, poor man's Zach Miller basically.

The way I see it, Kevin Boss is a poor man's Zach Miller and Miller is a poor man's Jason Witten.

All I know is Davis said that with the money Nnamdi was supposed to make, he could sign 2-3 good players. I haven't seen it yet, unless he's talking about Routt, Wimbley, and Seymour.
