You're pretty high on Cunningham. Is this you being optimistic that he'll actually produce, or has he shown you something in the 11 games he started?

Nah just me being optimistic. He has shown some flashes, but nothing really significant.

He almost sacked Peyton Manning once.

Pressures are almost as good as sacks sometime lol

NO! He is a garbage player. You'll hate him and wish he was dead!

Two of the Giants' writers saying they still haven't backed off from the demand off a 1st for Osi.

@NotoriousOHM Ohm Youngmisuk
Hearing NYG haven't lowered yet
@TheBlueScreen Ralph Vacchiano
I can't rule anything out, but two NFL sources now have told me the #NYG haven't dropped their demands yet for Osi. They still want a 1st.

We have 3 years left with Brady, it's really now or never.

Fuck that. The best part of the season is when the Pats fold like bitches and we get an entire 4th quarter of Brady face.

So tell me which other available DE are superior to Osi?
So now we're changing the conversation? I'm not saying Osi wouldn't hold value to a team like the Patriots or the Ravens. I've never said as much.

What I am addressing is this:

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=29804602&postcount=23632

Really? If I'm in a Patriots or Ravens fans position, I wouldn't want to see my team overpay with a first round pick for a player who simply isn't worth that. Wellington, myself and a few others have said a 2nd round pick is about the right value for him plenty of times.

The assertion that he's in his prime (he isn't ) and is top tier - sorry, I disagree. He's a very good situational player. I've said it many, many times in this thread. However, he has plenty of wear and tear and could easily aggravate that hip injury again. As has been noted several times he has issues playing the run (and that was there since before he injured his knee). If you feel that's worth top 5 DE money, that's fine but again, I disagree completely with that assertion and I would prefer to get some value for him from the open market than overpay a man who isn't even the best DE on the current team he's on.

Sanjuro Tsubaki said:

LOL. Yep, cause I said exactly that. How did inconsistent, bothered by injury and not worth a first rounder turn into garbage and wished he was dead? Overstatement FTW.

How many Giants games have you watched out of curiosity?

You know I thought Cunningham was decent as a rookie. 34 tackles 2ff, and a sack. Nothing flashy, but he was solid I thought. He did struggle setting the edge, but he was better than TBC IMO. I really have high hopes for him. I think he is going to have a breakout season.

No...we aren't changing the conversation.

You are getting a divorce. You are mad as shit and slandering her. I don't want anything to do with your whore of a wife. I'll stick it in her with some of my bros, but by the time we are done with her you still will be fussing with your divorce papers.

Report: Braylon Edwards entourage involved in fight at Michigan bar

Braylon Edwards may be the top free agent wide receiver still on the market, but with the way things are going, the disgruntled former Jet is not helping his chances of landing a big contract with a new team.

Last week Edwards avoided jail time for his drunk driving arrest in New York City in September, and in June he crashed his 2011 Audi on Detroit’s Belle Isle at 3:40 a.m.

Now Edwards is alleged to have been on hand at South Bar in Birmingham, Mich., when two members of his entourage got in a scuffle with employees.

According to a report on myFOXdetroit.com, The two individuals were arrested and one club staffer was reportedly cut with a kitchen knife, requiring 14 stitches.

Birmingham police apparently had no interaction with Edwards, however, a couple tweets trickled out of Edwards’ Twitter account around the time of the incident that indicate the wide receiver may have been near the incident.

Edwards reportedly tweeted “Dam. Get ya knuckles ready” and then “Don’t fight if. You don’t know how.”

Naturally Edwards deleted the tweets soon after and followed up with the old “my account got hacked” excuse.

never change braybray!

You're wrong but it's not like that matters. Believe that you like. I've been pretty even handed with the Osi situation since I've been posting news about it for the past week and a half. Anyone that's been reading this thread knows that and you're view that it's some irrational hatred of losing the guy (at a position with depth) is silly as hell.

You can have the whore, feel free to hand over that first round pick though.:)

The Patriot players who I think will have very big breakout seasons are Spikes and Hernandez.

I think Spikes is going to be really great. Hernandez could go one of 2 ways depending on his health really, he started off amazing last season, but the injury held him back. Gronk should be damn good again, him and Aaron could do some damage. Definitely expecting good things from spikes and Cunningham though.

Like I said, we aren't paying him anything. He is a good player and a fine rental. I get your reasoning if we were going to lock him up for several years...but that simply isn't the case. No football team will be stupid enough to do that with a player in a contract year and nobody will be giving you a first.

People are sleeping on the impact Leigh Bodden is going to have a corner. They guy was real solid the 1st year we had him and now has Devin on the other side. It's not like he hurt his knee or legs it was his shoulder.

Those YouTube videos should be banned forever from NeoGAF. I consider people who enjoy their content to be on the same level as the pervs who get off from child porn.

Absolutely! I agree. It's exactly what I've been saying, yet you want to throw out some nonsense about divorces and whores. If the Patriots give up a pick and sign him to a ridiculous contract, that's absolutely a stupid fucking move for 30 year old guy with hip issues. The problem with Osi is that he is DEMANDING top 5 DE money at the level of what Johnson got with the Panthers. He isn't worth that and any team that pays it, I don't believe is going to get value.

If that Pats were to throw out a second rounder and get him for year as a rental - that would be good value. I'd be curious to see if Osi would agree to those terms considering how adamant he is about what he wants.

I think I know the cause of the random blue screen of deaths I get. They seem to always happen when I watch youtube videos. Can't even enjoy the Pats beating down the Steelers.

With Spikes it's the off the field stuff I worry about. So far only good reports on Spikes in training camp. With Hernandez he has to limit his dropped passes. He had too many last season. He likes to run without looking the ball in. Very bad habit. I have a feeling that McCourty will regress though.

Why did the niners give up Aubrayo Franklin? Now the Saints might actually be able to stop the run, and that makes them quite more dangerous.

I think Osi might agree to be a rental. One good year with the Pats and some team might be willing to give him top DE money. I doubt the Pats do anything tough.

Edit: Now I remember why I forgot about that play fuck the 07 season.

Well it makes sense he would ask that from the Giants. I don't think he would expect that from any other NFL team...maybe the Raiders. Either way, he doesn't want to play for New York.

I have a similar feeling actually, but I think it'll be alright.

Yeah he says he's feeling great. I've been saying this throughout the thread though, the way I looked at it is we landed a couple guys in free agency and we picked up more off the IR. Bodden is a huge upgrade from Arrington and all he has to do now is be a number 2.

Word from camp is that he is 100%, and he has been playing tight coverage on everyone.

This is a great thing.

I'm curious to see how it plays out. I just want to make sure the Giants get good value for him. I'm more concerned with that than keeping some disgruntled guy on the sidelines.

Sanjuro Tsubaki said:

Yep. To be frank he's been whining about his contract since he signed it which is why you'll find plenty of Giants fans that are eager to have him move on because he's been pulling this fiasco the past three offseasons and he's not worth the money he's asking for. The problem is the Giants don't want to let him go either. Which is why they put that ridiculous first round demand out there. They want to show that he doesn't have the value he thinks he does in hopes that he wises up and stays for a possible restructure in the future. If, however some team is stupid enough to give a first? Sure, they'll deal him.

UPDATE from Ralph:

TheBlueScreen Ralph Vacchiano

TheBlueScreen Ralph Vacchiano
I should also add this: An NFL source told me earlier that if the #NYG dropped demands to a 2nd for Osi "They could make a deal right now."
In other words don't put too much stock on that first round demand having been dropped just yet.

It's weird I slow down towards the end of the season a bit though. I tried to get into the baseball thread and I still occasionally post, but the threads just don't move fast enough.
