I really think Tom Moore was brought in as a slap in the face to Schotty. I mean why would they hire a full time consultant for the offense if Schotty was doing everything right.

I expect big things to come from Tom Moores guidance and consulation for the Jets offense. Basically when Rex has to make those big decisions on offense he won't no longer look to Schotty for the advice and go ahead he is going to be asking Tom Moore what they should do, and that makes me real happy.

Hopefully Schotty won't be able to take a shit without Tom Moores approval.

@thefatone

Ellis had an OK year last year. Definitely in the declining part of his career. He was beast against you guys though and had an injured arm most of the year. I think you would expect the same amount of play out of him this year. Solid run stopper and pressure end in passing situations. More than anything I really want him to stay on the Jets to mentor Wilkerson and Westerman. I feel that alone is worth 2Mil for one more year.

Hopefully the Jets do realize after losing Cotchery today that moral will prolly be down and bringing back in Ellis and T-Rich can right the ship.

comcast, i'm still paying $60 a month for shitty internet that goes out every other week after your "get xfinitiy(our service is so shitty we have two names now!) for $20 a month for a year." if you weren't the only fucking internet besides 56k allowed here i'd cancel this shit right now.

so does comcast lose money too if they win the suit? i assume theyre suing for the exact same shit that they pull. and no free on demand movie coupons don't make up for the shitty service.

i wish google or verizon would just take over this area, we can't even get fucking att uverse but our neighbors across the street can.

/end rant of shitty internet companies

But Plaxico has a chip on his shoulder
about the same size as the hole in his leg
and will be motivated to go out and prove the haters wrong.

What will Braylon do? Just drop more balls.

First casualty of the season for the Gints...

NYPost_Schwartz Paul Schwartz
First Giants casualty: CB Bruce Johnson has ruptured Achilles, out for the season. #NYG

Mostly depth at CB but too bad for the guy. I believe he was injured last season as well. On a positive note, Kiwi is running with the first team linebackers. Prince needs to get his royal ass into camp ...NOW!

...and saw this show up on Twitter:

as a team #steelers voted against CBA ratification to make a statement

The NFL is going to test for HGH once a year? If anyone gets caught, they deserve the 'dumber than a box of rocks' award.

And suck it up, $350 is worth it. You'll drop the $20/wk in a bar on two beers and a basket of fries. Instead, have some friends over and make them bring the food and beverages. Totally worth it. (Protip: bring an extra tv and receiver into the living room.)

Sounds like a Perfect fit for the Pats. In the post season he could be a huge help in stopping the run. The last two playoffs games the Pats have been run over. If they could steal him it would be an excellent signing. Haynesworth,Wilfork,Ellis it would be hard for a team to run on that line. Assuming Haynesworth actually cares, and plays well.

he was the jets most consistent WR last year. he dropped 1 pass all year. he was also their only deep threat

Also Ocho has had a bad training camp so far. He has only had one good day(yesterday) and he is dropping balls, but it seems like that is because he is adjusting to the Pats offense.

Edit:I shouldn't have said bad. He has had a tough tc so far. The offense is struggling as a whole.

Moore just topped all of yesterdays catches with TD up top in back of endzone over Van Dyke and Brown. wooooow

Denarius Moore sick catch in the back end of the end zone against double coverage, tapped the toes and stayed in bounds for the TD

Touchdown Moore. Deep. Over shoulder in stride from Campbell

no other WR is dominating like this “@raiderjmb: is moore that good or are the DBs that bad?”

Wait, here is what zychi meant.

EDIT: Now I can't actually find the details on the page though lol

You DO NOT NEED DIRECT TV. To watch NFL Sunday TIcket. Just couple of days ago I purchased NFL Sunday Ticket for this upcoming season.

It is hidden within direct tv page. But you can google to its link. The cost is 350 dollars in one payment. While checking out you just have to check on a box that says you cant have direct tv because its not allowed etc.

After that you are good to go. You can download the App or watch it on your pc.

I'm not sure I understand the strategy here for Osi. I mean I get he doesn't want to play under the contract he's on but threatening knee surgery is helping your value, how?

Ralph Vacchiano
@TheBlueScreen
Battle lines: DE Osi Umenyiora has told the #NYG he may need knee surgery, according to a source. Although "need" is debatable.

Aug. 04, 2011 6:32 p.m. - by John Kreger - DT Suh dominating drills
DT Ndamukong Suh is having his best practice of camp so far. Suh's been a dominant force in team drills, getting penetration into the backfield almost at will. Having the full roster in camp has clearly motivated the entire D-line. Team drills had more intensity Thursday than at any other camp workout this season. Lions RapidReports

the chargers cut harrison in 2002 and belichick flew him in and signed him in one of those roadside trailer restaurants that cowboys fans regularly eat at. now he has 2 rings

haynesworth is also unwanted by his team, they probably signed him in a restaurant as well, expect 2 rings minimum

cool. I like that everyone's posting who's dominating in their respective camps. It'd be cool if we could get everyone to do it.

Edit:

Kerely's doing well

@rodboone Rod Boone
Just from very brief observations, I think @Jkerley85 is going to help this team. You can tell the coaches like him. #Jets

Most impressive offensive player so far today: Rookie WR @Jkerley85. Making plays in 11on11s. #nyj

When it comes to the passing game, I'm putting a lot of hope in Gronkowski. Sounds like he's having a great training camp so far. Too bad about Chad, he seems to be genuinely trying to adapt. Let's hope he can get over it.

He is just dropping too many passes, but he is working hard from every report. Too early to say anything about him. We will know how he fits with the team in 3 weeks

Edit:So far Gronk,Bodden,Vollmer,Chung, and Spikes have been standouts. Spikes is really getting glowing remarks about his play as a middle linebacker.

If Plax is still in game shape, he's better than Edwards. Even at age 33.
Maybe I haven't seen Edwards enough but I definitely find that hard to believe.

I've always wondered how good Plax would've been if he actually practiced. Maybe he will for Rex Ryan - Players Coach Extraordinaire.

I think some have adapted better than others such as MLB and NHL. So when people pirate those I tend to have a lot less sympathy for them and any crap they get (though mostly people sharing streams) as these groups are at least trying to work with consumer demand at decent prices and options.

NHL Center Ice is the best deal in sports television. $160 for all of those games is amazing. I can't believe it's that cheap.

I guess maybe it would put the Giants on the hook for his salary even if he doesn't play?

I don't understand what's so funny about my Manning statement?

Manning is the Colts. While the Pats are more of a team game led by Belichick more than Brady.

Manning has been able to do what he does with a horrible running game and not really that great of a defensive team.

Coming off a second neck surgery, aging and with a rookie at LG and LT this year. His entire blindside is going to protected by 2 rookies!

Peyton will go down as one of the greatest ever but his time is passing by.

Brady has just as much to do with the Patriots success as Belichek does.

He's not choked for 1 year, resulting in a Superbowl. He'll have 2 more years of not choking, i.e. Superbowl, is my guess.

I'm just waiting for the glorious Manning Bowl to happen.

I don't know which idea is more retarded. The idea that every time you don't win a championship you choked, or the idea that Manning will win two more.

He's on the books anyway, he'll be a year older and add yet another injury to the list though..? I'm not sure how that helps his case outside of sitting at home collecting 3 million dollars. Which I get is a positive but not if he plans to get his big pay day when he returns.

I'm to the point where I just want him traded and gone..

Oh and...

AdamSchefter Adam Schefter
49ers committed $16 mil in 2011 to Akers, Rogers, Goodwin, Whitner, Edwards, Williams. Raiders committed $16 mil in 2011 to Michael Huff.

So all the Raiders offensive playmakers are out and there's only two of them. McFadden and Ford. Ford has a broken hand while McFadden has a broken eye orbit.

At least the Raiders are one of the 5 remaining teams over the salary cap.

It's ok. They have Bush to backup McFadden and as long as they have Miller, they'll be alright in the passing ga... oh...

If Osi doesnt report by Aug 9th then this year doesnt count as a year of service. If he gets surgery then the Giants have to either put him on IR or the PuP list, either way he gets paid and doesnt have to play for them.
