wait, that controller IS a joke, right?
i cant believe MS actually got something right, and sony dropped the ball. the DS2 is at least comfortable and functional. may be this gen we will see an increase in x360 controller to ps3 converter sales.

well if the throngs are a bit smaller than they seem it looks like it can be just as confortable as the current generation controllers.....sort of like how the GC looked weird but fit the hand perfectly.


but umm besides the look it looks the same.....just made it look like a boomarang.
 
That controller does not look so hot. The L1 and R1 buttons don't look like their in the right spot at all. This has killed some of my excitement.

Have you ever used the Apple G4 Cube???? They had the touch button, it was crap... they use to turn them self off when the room got hot... hmmm

Yeah, because when companies announce the big new exclusives for their console thats over a year away, of course they'll be hyping the new IPs no one has ever even heard of. This isn't the Xbox 360, Sony actually has big name exclusives people will recognize.

I like the system's design a lot myself, the controller looks like ass though. I want to see both in scale before I pass judgement too much however. The system looks rather small, going by the overall size in relation to the ports on back. Not real small, but PS2 size. The controller, having seen it from only one angle with no scale, has left me pretty unimpressed. Who knows, maybe it works, but until I get to try it out I'll be sceptical.

I used to use one of those to play emulators on pc. Pretty comfortable I'd say, handles were ideal length. PS3's controller could be similar, but then without scale we really can't tell.

Warhawk + Killzone + DMC pics = HOT! DAMN HOT!

I sure as hell hope so. That controller better be sex in the hands, cause as it stands it looks like PURE shit.
 
Oh weird it has a bunch of buttons on the back. Kind of cool, but still, it's ugly. They could've kept it like the Dual Shock even with the extra buttons.
 
OUCH, I got put in the hospital with a terminal case of RSI after just looking at that thing :( what the hell is that on the back of the controller that someone posted?

how long do my thumbs need to be to get to those sticks? also, how the hell are the shoulder buttons going to be comfortable? the best thing about the DS2 was how your fingers could sit on all 4 of those buttons quite naturally.. damn, revolution should change up their presentation and pimp their controller now.....

All and all, I'm not sure why everyone is so angry about the controller, with blue tooth technology at 700GHz, and a 450 fbr it sounds all good to me. Not to mention it's sleak design and comfortable feel, this might be the greats thing to come from Sony since the PS3.

Hideo Kojima introduced Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4, Capcom showed off Devil May Cry 4, Namco unveiled Tekken 6, Polyphony Digital trotted out Gran Turismo 5, SCEE showed off a brutal section of the next Killzone, and Rockstar Games mentioned that a Grand Theft Auto would be released for the console.

This is GAF. We'll see a 180 turnaround once people get the controller in their hands. :D
 
The not so BIG SUPRISE:

The "big surprise" at the end of the show is the announcement that the next installment of Grand Theft Auto is exclusive to PlayStation 3. Expect PS3 in Spring of 2006.
