Ok, what do you guys think are the unannounced games?

I hope we get a FF ps3 teaser of sorts but man o man my DREAM would be the official unveiling of FF VII ps3 remake. THAT WOULD PUT ME THROUGH THE ROOOOF. I mean, this is supposed to be a 2 day conference so hopefully SE will let out all its projects... DQ 9 anyone? :D.

And I hope FFXII gets out sooner than later. It’ll have to keep me busy till next gen.

I predict FFXII being pushed back to spring or fall of 06 (Square said if its delayed it'll be one or the other)

They'll probabaly unveil World of Mana.

I don't really expect anything out of left field like FF PS3 or anything like that. Though if I expected it, it wouldn't be much of a surprise :)

At best, and I mean absolute best, you'll get first gameplay footage of Crisis Core and maybe a new crappy MMORPG from them like "World of Mana". But hahaha, you'll probably just end up seeing the anime shit again.
 
When will it start?

I imagine FF3 DS, FFCC2, FFXII, FFXI 360, KH2, and World of Mana will make some sort of showing. Not to mention Grandia III and Dragon Warrior something, from Enix.

They ain't gonna show shit like that. FFXI and maybe World of Mana if it comes true will be the only "next-gen" games shown at this event (and frankly I doubt even WoM, 'cause it wasn't even hinted at yesterdays XBOX Summit... unless it's for PS2?PS3/PC?) SquareEnix ain't gonna do it, 'cause they don't love you.

not true. can't wait to find out the release dates of FFXII and KHII. Maybe finally see some in game screens of FFVII:Crisis Core.

Hopefully, surprises in the forms of FFXIII, DQVIr, Valkyrie Profile2, and Chrono Break. FFVIIr will not be a surprise:D
 
I don't expect anything next gen (unless FFXI for X360 is considered next gen :D ).
I hope they'll announce the japanese release date for FF12.

No they don't love me but they love sony (which owns 10 percent of the company) and the love their market share in jpn. ;p Im not expecting a full showing, just announcements and perhaps short teasers. We shall see. :)

It hasn't been announced as such. Magicbox claims that the square party site confirms its a ps2 game, but it doesn't. I think its either DS or next-gen

Sony owns 8 percent, non. Which isn't really enough to affect anything, so that's almost a non-issue.

But you won't, man. You're setting yourself up for disappointment.

I think they're gonna make it eventually,but I bet that it won't be announced for a while.
It seems that the FFX team with Kitase is doing FFXIII on PS3 and Nomura will start new projects when Advent Children,Dirge of Cerberus and KH2 are completed.
Hopefully Nomura will complete the FF7 compilation with the FF7 remake.
 
Info on DQ6r is probably the thing I want to the most, well that and some new info/dates for FF III DS. I'm not expecting them to show any next-gen stuff outside of World of Mana and FF XI. TGS isn't all that far away.

I never really understand such statements. EVERY FF is a brand new game with the exception of chocobos and characters that are only the same in name. So each release is no different than releasing a brand new game.

I guess because there's only one Vagrant Story, two Parasite Eve's and two Chrono titles... and we're waiting on the 12th Final Fantasy. I'm not saying I don't want any more, or that they're all the same. I'd just like to see something from a different franchise.
 
Isn't this a bit early in the week for this? The show isn't until Friday (well Thursday night for the US).

And I thought we were getting rid of the "official <XXX> thread" and were going to let the whole process be more organic. That is the thread that takes root and stays on topic gets to be bequeathed the "official" moniker. That way we don't have threads like this declare themselves official
 
yes a new chrono game would be very welcome. The thing is, FF carries w/ it brand recognition and thus will always get priority.

I'm not expecting any surprises, but if there were going to be some then I'd like:

- FFVII Remake for next-gen
- FFIIIDS shown
- FFVII: Crisis Core shown
- Chrono 3 unveiled
- Announcement that they'll be teaming up with Nintendo for Super Mario RPG 2 (let me dream)

But I'm expecting nothing more than final KH2 release date + information and the "re-unveiling" of FFXII (hopefully with a new battle system that's more like the old stuff, but with a fresh take on it -- really not a big fan of something being FFXI-influenced -- and uh, I don't mind random battles, but whatever :P).

- FF XI new expansion pack
- details about Seiken Densetsu (Legend of Mana) the World
- NOTHING related to Nintendo (left for Nintendo's own show)
