Dear XBLA,
It's not you, it's me.
Well, that's a lie, it really is you. You made bold promises when we first met, gobs of classic games remade in HD with online functionality. I thought it was a pretty silly hobby of yours, but I love you, so I humored your passion. But a hobby turned into an obsession, becoming so demanding and holding so high a standard that you wouldn't let a thing go through those hallowed gates to my dashboard, just waiting for me to grab it with my quivering...controller. (I hear the PS3 can't even do that anymore, but I guess that happens when you're old.)
But alas, a tighter grip just means things slip away. Street Fighter was so poor you couldn't bear to release it in its home country; XBLA Wednesdays has turned into a game of "But...which Wednesday," and my patience is growing weary. I'd rather have more games than continue to watch in futility as you try to get your [catalog] up only for you to back out just as we reach the week's climax.
I've taken the money I would've put towards a renewed Live account and bought two Wii point cards. Maybe - maybe - if you ever decide to judge Worms worthy of release I'll think about moving back in for a few months, you know, just to see if we can work things out.
But right now, it's time for me to move on.
xoxo,
