OMG , Resident Evil 4 Review from IGN

This sounds like the equavilant of a widescreen show put on DVD, but is non-anamorphic and the subs are hardsubbed into the picture and appears on the bottom black bar. :lol

The game looks great but yeah it's a real pity Capcom has zero intelligence as far as widescreen implementation was concerned.

Sweet, maybe, I think the demo or the earlier footage had them in the black bar area. Can't wait till tuesday.

It was a performance issue. They wanted anamorphic widescreen originally but it just didn't work, the game was too demanding. Imagine how awful it will look like on the PS2..

I certainly would not have expected that. I suppose that is good news. I am actually considering getting a cube (for the third time :)) for this game, but I can't get my head around the technical issues, perceived or not. Simply put, Capcom is fucking those with 16x9 TVs. It is even more annoying that Nintendo fans feel compelled to defend it- I only have na issue with Capcom and their design choices.

Let's think of a theoretical equivalent. Game company X comes up with an awesome new sound technology. It creates surround like sound with normal stereo speakers. But, it was not made for those with 5.1 surround setups. What's worse, if you have a higher end 5.1 setup, you have to finagle your system to output it the right way, and it sounds worse.

The thing that's worse than Nintendo fans is anti-Nintendo people complaining about Nintendo fans for no apparent reason. Nobody here is saying this is the optimal way to do the game. If you think there are people here saying that then your mind is fabricating things to justify a rant about Nintendo fans.

If you want to call me an anti nintendo person, that's your prerogative, but you would be wrong. I think Capcom is idiotic, not Nintendo.

Also, I never once said anything implicating anyone was saying this was an optimal solution. Instead, I have people saying "It's no big deal" or "No one cares because only like .0000001% of the populatin owns widescreen tvs."

Why is SantaCruZer allowed near a computer with internet connection? :(

What's your fucking problem? Why am I not allowed to take my stance in the arguing like everyone else? WHY AM I ALWAYS THE TARGET FOR THIS KIND OF BS EVEN THOUGH I DON'T DESERVE IT?

Yes, I do believe Santacruzer has copped a little too much unwarranted flak here.

Like a bridge over troubled water...

some people...not once have I insulted the person I argued with. 3329 posts and counting. Always kept it civil. Don't think it's fair to get jumped on.

I can't zoom on my TV (no zoom feature.)

but so fucking what? So it's letterboxed. I can deal with that.
