And I agree, so I suppose it all depends on why Kinemon and his buddies choose Zou as a destination in the first place beyond anything safety related.
It definitely seems like we're about to get a misunderstanding regarding their whole mission.

It's a gag, they were introduced in grandiose fashion, poses and all, Luffy said "Yo!" and then they were summarily ignored completely. Nothing wrong with the translation.

Thanks for the answers. It does not seem to be clear if they were calling "rude" to Luffy or Law. Probably that's Oda's mistake. Let's see if it gets more clear in the anime.
It was to Law, who just introduced them and turned his back to talk to Luffy.

He's kind of a jerk for still telling luffy to leave sanji alone to deal with this, especially after hearing that
sanji's loved ones could be killed if he doesn't attend the wedding.

I think it's also funny because some people have been waiting for a formal introduction to the Heart Pirates among the fanbase for a long time. El oh el Oda
Setup for the eventual Sanji rescue and possible fast escape from Zou with our resident Samurai showing up.
Zoro, I think, has the best intentions with his comments and reasoning as First Mate. Going after Sanji (and Robin) put the crew at a significantly higher risk given their current situation. While it does come off as blunt, this is Luffy walking directly into the Lion's Den for a 3rd time. I'm sure Zoro would have had the same opinion when Luffy decided to head directly into Impel Down.
While he knows Luffy is both special and a special kind of stupid, things have generally worked out for the crew even after some of Luffy's more brash decisions. I'm sure he's in a similar role now as Rayleigh was after first meeting and sailing with Roger.

I'd be worried about the crew splitting up again if I didn't know for sure it was just a bluff from Oda. But man how rotten would that be? I suppose if it had to happen at least Sanji and Jinbe would be at Luffy's destination.
This chapter had me laughing hard. Luffy being Luffy and Pekoms reacting to Luffy and me literally lol'ing. Cat Viper is cool but I'm not quite as into his antics that much.
So much to talk about within this chapter. Big Mom sounds like a serious threat and her relationship with the Straw Hat's couldn't be more complex. How are people feeling about how she'll be tackled after this chapter? Full on saga boss drag out fight? Or a new frienemy down the line.
I'm still holding out the possibility that between Caesar and Shirahoshi the Mama Pirates and the Animal Kingdom Pirates will have a major scuffle with each other. What ever happens with Mom's confrontation I think there is just about no way for Jinbe to not be freed from his obligations after this.
Germa 66, G66? Looks mighty close to the demonic 666. Just one more little allusion to Sanji being some sort of devil. Not literally of course.

I feel like I'm still waiting for the twist on this one. I'd rather one crew member not go alone. It's not like it matters; The second Luffy or Zoro try to 'sneak in' they are going to blow their covers in minutes and turn it into a giant mess.
Right now, one crew member (Sanji) is sacrificing them self to save everyone because of dangerous consequences. I need something to make this different than Water 7 for me.

I really don't mind the idea of having a rescue crewmate arc where the one they need to get back isn't a woman

Big Mom wants Sanji as her underling because that means she gets Germa 66. With that she can take out a weakened Kaidou fleet, which could mean a temporary alliance with the Straw Hats. Could be that Lola will finally play a part in making at least a temporary alliance with Big Mom.
i think luffy ends up going but gets captured and strikes a deal with big mom. she gives sanji back if he takes down kaido. she accepts because she thinks luffy will just end up getting killed but she hopes he at least does some damage to her rival. of course luffy ends up taking down kaido and then that brings on the stand off with big mom in the future. this might also mean that she allows jimbei to join luffy in his battle vs kaido.

Except instead of racing to stop an execution they're going to race to stop Sanji from consummating the marriage

It's too early to make that assumption, we have no idea what Sanji is up to. He could be trying to find a way out and by the time the Strawhats get there the island could be in chaos as a result of his actions.

You guys are making some pretty significant assumptions for how this will go, If only Luffy or him and one other person goes, then it's not like Enies Lobby anyway, hell it's been explicitly stated that's bad idea (by Luffy no less), and your assuming Sanji will even want to go through with this when it sounds more like he's doing anything he can to get out of it, but simply ignoring the invitation outright, sounds like a bad idea.

I still can't see the Mink's becoming completely irrational with the Samurai's showing up/turning on the Straw Hats, but "something" has to happen at this point since Oda has made such a big deal about it.

It could be a rescue arc or an impel down sort of arc but anyway the arcs rhyme they don't repeat themselves frame for frame.

It's hard to imagine the Kaido storyline progressing without Luffy. Also, who the fuck knows what's going to happen now that the Samurai are back.

From the looks of it they're all about to be chased out of Zou thanks to the samurai, so I doubt they'll all be split up.
We'll see but its likely the Minks will be cool with them if the Strawhats even bother to explain it to them.
well I'm still wondering what Kid's Alliance ended up doing with Kaido.
I'm not that sure they'll give them the chance given what happened...

A part of me is kind of expecting an eventual Luffy/Sanji scuffle to come during this arc. Zoro is giving Luffy the same kind of warning he gave when Ussopp left and if Luffy refuses to listen they may come to blows, even just a bit.
Right but the Samurai are Strawhat bros...well, at least kinemon. The shitty artist dude might be fucked.
I'm not sure the minks will see it that way, especially given the reaction they had when the Strawhats first showed up...
