I mean, unless you believe Ohara just happened to have like 50 of them for some reason, it's pretty obvious they were gathered there by the scholars (I think it might even have been outright stated). And we saw Jinbe carrying a poneglyph with him in the cover min-arc recently as well

They had more than one on their island?

Save Sanji sounds dope if everyone goes not just Luffy (even tho prison break was good). Anyway I can't fucking wait for what's to come of One Piece now. The light is just barely beaming through the door but the end is now in sight.

4-5 more arcs + 2-3 mini arcs left I'd say

Wano arc
Big Mom arc aka save Sanji arc
WG arc
Something maybe BB arc
War 2 arc

2-3 Zou type arcs

10 more years folks
I'd say it's probably more close to near 20 more years of content, even if Oda's editors don't want to admit it. Here's what I'm picturing:

Whole Cake Island arc/Germa 66 arc - Big Mom and Luffy initially clash, Sanji's dad betrays Big Mom and she teams up with Luffy to take him out.
Reverie arc - Kings from around the world and gather to discuss the state of the world. Seeds of an internal split in the WG are planted.
Wano arc - Luffy has an encounter with Kaidou, but ends up fighting the Shogun of Wano instead as the final villain of the arc.
Mariejois arc - Kaidou w/ crew heads off to Fishman Island after learning about Poseidon from Caribou. Big Mom wants to protect Fishman Island (as does Luffy) and they backtrack to it. Huge fight between Big Mom and Kaidou occurs on top of the Red Line, in the Holy Land of Mariejois. Luffy destroys the entire thing destroying Fishman Island to stop the war between the two Yonkou. Kaidou mysteriously disappears in the rubble, presumed dead.
Elbaf arc - Final Road Poneglyph location. Luffy encounters both Jack and Edward Weevil here for the first time (Jack and the Beanstalk analogy). Huge fantasy-based arc that will also be connected to the Giant Jack of Skypeia and the Treasure Tree Adam. Also inspired by Norse mythology hence the Viking-like braids on both Jack and Weevil.
Vegapunk arc - Luffy and co. need Vegapunk's help to get to Raftel due to complications. Vegapunk tells them the history of Devil Fruits and tells them the key to understanding how to get to Raftel is via the Moon.
Moon arc - They go to the Moon, encounter Eneru, and Luffy faces off against a One Piece version of Freeza and becomes Space Pirate King or something.
Return to Impel Down arc - Luffy returns to Earth, only for the entire Marines to surround him lead by Akainu. He gets captured and is scheduled for execution at Impel Down. Sabo comes up with a plan to break him out. They break out, and this time Luffy defeats Magellan.
Second Paramount War arc - Decisive war between Revolutionaries and Marines occurs here. All Revolutionary commanders are revealed, including Zoro's master being one of them. Revolutionaries win and take over Marine HQ, freeing the Strawhats. Also a split in the Marines lead by Fujitora occurs here.
Pirate's Island arc - Strawhats make a pitstop to the place Roger got dubbed the Pirate King that is said to be gained from winning a Davy Back Fight. Luffy encounters the Kidd Alliance here as well as Shanks, who is guarding or protecting something (maybe Roger's egg). Huge conflict occurs, and Kidd manages to kill Shanks. Luffy beats Kidd to a bloody pulp and the Kidd Alliance breaks apart. Blackbeard crashes the party, defeats a tired and bloodied Luffy taking the location of Raftel away from him as well as possibly whatever Shanks was guarding.
Raftel arc - Via intel (Aokiji) the Marines learn about the location of Raftel. Huge war erupts here between every party, and the true history is learned in an extensive flashback arc. Luffy defeats Akainu here.
Throne Wars arc - The conflict arises when Blackbeard declares himself to be Pirate King, discovering the One Piece before Luffy does. More Pirates from across the world get involved, including a returning Big Mom and Kaidou (the later was thought to be dead) to join the fray. Longest arc in the entire series and is the final battle to determine who becomes Pirate King. And of course, Luffy beats Blackbeard and obtains the One Piece.

And then after that the anime continues on and produces it's own, original arcs about Luffy's descendants, lolololo

Of course that could just represent the four seas and Mariejois.
That's what it represents to the world government, but in that scene that's Rayleigh talking about what they discovered at Raftel. That only happens in the anime version of that scene. Perhaps Oda asked them to change it like that because really the World Government flag doesn't make sense to appear otherwise. It was Oda making us think it was just the World Government flag when it was actually foreshadowing this development.

Also it's possible that the flag is actually the flag of the forgotten kingdom and the World Government appropriated it as winners of wars often do to change the beliefs of the people. Make people forget what the flag means by changing the meaning.

Indeed! I've always wondered the same thing.

what if the road poneglyphs really points to a spaceship that people have to ride in order to take them to raftel which is in another world? the ship might even be underwater which would make it even harder to find. maybe that is where jimbei comes in and helps them find it. franky being a shipwright would also help operate it.

That reference of the moon... Where does it appear for the first time?

I've heard there's a special comic about Enel and the moon, but I don't know if it's true, or just a legend. I started reading the manga not long ago, when I got fed up of Dressrosa in the anime.

Enel went to the Moon in one of the cover stories, encountered the ruins of an ancient civilization of angelic races, and defeated some space pirates that were excavating the ruins on the Moon. The whole story is here: http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Enel's_Great_Space_Operations

Thanks to both!

You should check out all the cover stories.

I watched anime only til the middle of dressrosa and then started the manga.

Now i'm doing a rerun reading the manga from the beginning and it's worth it. The cover stories are especially interesting since most of them are never shown or even mentioned in the anime except for the first few ones and they hold important information sometimes.

Holy shit what a chapter!!!
Does this confirm the crew is splitting up??

I can see them splitting into two teams - one to rescue Sanji and one to copy the Ponegylph.

Wonder if/when Law decides to split. He just got some very beneficial information, dunno if he would care to mess with Big Mom for someone else.

i wonder if law is interested in the road poneglyphs. i know his ultimate goal was taking out doflamingo but he seemed to be bothered when luffy claimed he would be the pirate king. maybe law will go with luffy to help him copy the road poneglyph. that or law goes on ahead and will try and find out where kaido's road poneglyph is hidden.

I dunno. I don't see Law ever going against Luffy. His entire ambition was to avenge Corazon by taking down Doflamingo. His plan to take down Kaido was a ruse. His actual plan was to make Kaido kill Doflamingo while he hid in the safety of Zou. Since they ended up taking down Doflamingo, Kaido's anger is aimed at Law and Luffy. Law's attitude has been that they can't hide in Zou as planned and he's forced to actually confront Kaido now. Law has been somewhat of a Luffy fanboy; keeping track of his exploits and pointing out how underestimating him and his crew has been a huge mistake everyone makes. And he seems to favor Luffy as the number one D or something. I'd also say Dressrosa more than repaid Luffy's debt to Law and Law is indebted to Luffy.

i hope law becomes the unofficial leader of luffy's alliance. i know luffy said he didn't want them to pledge anything but at some point they will need some direction and law is someone who would know what to do. i'm hoping in the upcoming chapters law will pledge that he will help luffy take down kaido and big mom if that is what luffy wants. i'm hoping he comes up with a plan that makes big mom and kaido go against each other.

I've been looking at many of the mini-arcs. Quite interesting. It's a pity all of them weren't adopted to the anime.

I liked the ones of the CP9 and Goldenweek. I even felt sad for Goldenweek, when she's entered into prison.

With the Poneglyphs literally being a map to Raftel, I'm starting to think Raftel is actually the ruins of the ancient civilization that was wiped out during the Void Century. Did people already think this?

Oda tied up everything strongly. Loved this, and now i care for Wano and those characters.

Can't wait for what's ahead, the Sanji-BigMom dilemma and the Kaidou/Wano conflict.

Yep, it's been a pretty common theory for a while.

Man this chapter was great. We have confirmation that Kaido is in control of Wano working alongside the current Shogun. Big Mom and Kaido both are now major keys to finding the location of Raftel.

I bet All Blue is the sea surrounding Raftel.

Yes. It's a common theory about the Void Century. It's commonly thought the Void Century/Weapons/One Piece/Poneglyphs are all linked.

Whatever it is, it's definitely no coincidence that Roger "left" One Piece in the same place where these 4 specific Poneglyphs point to.

I initially discounted the idea of the World Government holding the lost poneglyph but I actually forgot that they were indestructible, so that theory makes a lot of sense.

Nami and robin are essentially the most important strawhats for end game. If it wasn't already obvious. Robin deciphered it and handed the map right to nami.

Also i fully expect robin to be kidnapped now.

Nah don't think we have to worry about robin getting kidnapped again .
SH have become way to powerful for that plus now they have a army .

Rescue Robin arc part 2? Doubt it.
i can definitely see blackbeard taking her and that act leading to the final confrontation between luffy and blackbeard. maybe blackbeard acquires one of the red poneglyphs and 3 paper copies of the other ones and demands robin tell him the location of raftel. luffy defeats blackbeard and takes the final poneglyph with him. i kinda want a defeated blackbeard to follow luffy to the location of raftel and get wiped out the same way he did when luffy went to sky island. although this time he would probably be gone for good.

It isn't impossible but I don't see Oda doing that with Robin again. She had an entire arc devoted to her capture and rescue. I feel that Oda will take a different path than just having her be captured again even though it may be a much lesser part of the arc. I think that Blackbeard will chase after Luffy for whatever red poneglyphs he has and Robin and that is when their final battle will occur. Even other pirates/WG forces may even attack Luffy and co to gain capture to Robin.

This was one of the most important and amazing chapters we've had in a long time. And I say this although we've had some mind-blowing chapters since the beginning of 2016. Damn, I'm still amazed at this genius foreshadowing!

I like the idea that Elbaf is one of the four islands. And Zou making Dressrosa look like filler is definitely true :D

Great chapter, and a really nice change of pace in this arc compared to the others.

Looks like Kaido's bringing in his zoan army and an alliance with the samurai.

Personally looking forward to how powerful they are, and if there are any prominent figures on the level of an admiral.

Also excited about Big Mom and the Germa 66 as well.

The war is going to be great!

This. I think Robin's confidence in the crew is foreshadowing how hard Luffy and co are going to kick everyone's ass. I foresee a moment in the future where someone lays hands on Robin and the entire crew simultaneously comes to her rescue.

Robin has done a lot of really important but seemingly small things since the timeskip.
Her character is a bit bland, compared, since she is the adult in the group and thus mostly being calm and content. She needs more silly stuff like her pity for the dragon, just more. Everyone in that crew is a freaking weirdo - except her. Give her some crazy trait

She's, like, one of the top 5 most important characters in the series. She's literally the only person in the world that can guide the future pirate king. She's the key to everything.

She does have traits. She always thinks of the most morbid and dire situation whenever something goes wrong and also uncharacteristically loves cute things.

Pretty sure the "loving cute things" is not very extreme, the small dragon scene was the highlight so far and the morbid isn't really over the top. I see her mostly standing on the sideline watching as the others go crazy, sometimes smiling the "boy will be boys" smile and occasionally being functional in reading Porn Glyphs and getting in a fight. But she really lacks that over the top crazy. Like, it works with Zorro. He can be cool and a serious fighter and isn't a inherently silly character, but he also goofs of half of the time with his sense of direction, drinking alcohol, getting in fights with Sanji and such.
