Just finished up. The ending was nuts, though everything had been accelerating towards something crazy at the end. Great first season, and I can't wait to see more next year.

Tastee is the best character in anythin ever.

Why are people covering spoilers? It says in op that we could just talk. Now I'm scared to post.

Is it just me, or does Natasha Lyonne just keep getting hotter?
She's looking really great. I've always found her to be very pretty but the recent press photos she's been in are stunning.

But more than anything, I'm just glad she's healthy and working. She's incredibly charming.

Hella nasty. She must smell like garbage, and not the sweet kind.

Give me some Taylor.

I've re-watched the scene when Larry ends it with Piper 3-4 times now; Jason Bigg's awkward yet sincere delivery is perfect. He's a nice guy who cannot handle the situation he's been put in with the women he loves.

I must re-watch this before season 2 to better understand Piper's character.

I'm just finished the 13 episodes. It felt cartoonish at times, but despite that I really enjoyed it. The characters are wonderful.

Glad the unmarked spoilers from the start are going away. It makes me afraid to enter the thread before I've finished it, which is a bit horrible.

Just realized that the actress who plays Yoga Jones voiced Patti Mayonnaise from Doug.

And now, in my fucked-up head-canon, Yoga Jones IS Patti Mayonnaise. She was such a promising young girl...;___;

Watched the first four episodes and I liked what I'm seeing. Kinda slow though, does it pick up?

Also I just wanted to say I liked how they add a little flashback for the different inmates as to what their crimes were. Nice touch

My dad sucks: he gave up on the show after watching five minutes of the first episode. Fucker can keep watching NCIS repeatedly!

I love her character so much. She brings much needed positive energy to the show to nit make it so damn depressing.

Pornstache being obsessed with Daya feels really forced.

What? Are you serious? He's obviously not. He knows he was setup by Red and thus Daya. That's why the note says to wait for him to come back. It's clearly a disguised threat. It's all an act, he had to sell it for the other COs benefit.

Finished the season and loved it.

That's pretty harsh :(. But I've never found her attractive either. I remember watching But I'm a Cheerleader a long time ago and didn't find her attractive when she was younger either. Tricia without her cornrows was pretty cute though.

Oh, I feel stupid.

I watched about 75% of the first episode before I gave up and turned it off. Terrible acting, unfunny dialogue. Seems like it's trying to be funny since nothing people are saying makes any sense or is rational in the given situation, but it's not funny.

The first episode isn't supposed to be very humorous. It just introduces the characters and plot. It gets so much better once you meet the other inmates and their witty banter and stories unfold. In my opinion the acting is quite good, minus Jason Biggs. What I love about the show the most is the amount and diversity of women in it. But alas, it's not a show for everyone.

Finished it a few days ago. Brilliant show with one of the greatest ensembles ever. There's so many terrific supporting characters. It's ridiculous. <3 Tastee, Poussey, Sophia, Red and Piper is a great lead. Schilling has some really great line deliveries and facial expressions that continually crack me up.

Just finished the Fucksgiving episode. What a show! I'm already dreading the wait after the season is over.

Man that verbal beat down she gave Healey from solitary. Amazing! I knew that fucker had issues.

Just finished. Kinda mixed about how it progressed. It just may be that I want to like Pipper but its kinda hard to feel sympathy after all the shit she seems to bring her way. I was also hoping she would get a bit more badass (and not so phsychotic as she turned out). Is like every other character was made to be felt symphathy for except her.

I think Pornstache's obsessions with Daya is real. He thought Red was the one responsible for getting him caught in the act, but I think he thought Daya really likes him.

I'm fairly sure Pornstache is genuinely into Daya. He admits that being shown "true affection" isn't the norm so it explains his immediate reciprocation when Daya fakes it.

I agree with you both.

(yet) another thing I love about this show is the treatment of sexuality, specifically in Piper's case. It's not strict in its classification and it's so damn refreshing.

I think House of Cards might have more name recognition because of Spacey and Fincher, but not everyone is into the political backstabbing.

That's what I was thinking. The scene where he hands the other CO the note was meant to clue that CO in and make him feel terrible.

Haven't finished the season yet. The last 15 minutes of Episode 11 is fucking brilliant though (the montage during the radio show). It completely turns every television trope on its head (all while talking about tropes).

I just rewatched a few episodes after finishing the season the other day.

I was watching E4, "Imaginary Enemies", and while I was touched by the ending of it on the first watch, the rewatch was almost gut-wrenching. Particularly when one knows the
fate of Ms. Claudette at the end of the season
, the look that she gives at the end of the episode, combined with the music and everything else is just very touching. I really hope we haven't seen the last of her (Claudette I mean), she was one of my favorite characters.

I have a feeling Piper will be seeing her soon.

Damnit... I thought that was an ep. 4 spoiler. It's not. Anyway, it's vague enough that I don't know what you're talking about.

I'm 7 episodes in so far. Hopefully have the time to watch another one tonight. Great show so far. Sometimes it's a bit inconsistent, but I like the quirkyness of it.

Thought that the ending was poor, it felt pretty cheap compared to the previous episodes.
I hope season 2 keeps the focus more on the characters, rather than weak story lines like that, since that what makes this show so good.

Also how did Pennsatucky only get low security prison? She shot someone in cold blood, irked me a little bit.

A side from that i thought it was really good overall. I hope Netflix has a few more series in the pipe line if they're as good as this.

That's how I feel. Mendez is a fucking sociopath but he's one of the few characters who knows exactly what's going on. He's playing a rube right now but he's got something planned.

Just finished and absolutely loved it. Such a large cast and I fell in love with pretty much all of the characters (especially Taystee and Poussey).

I lost my shit at Taystee dancing when she got out.
