Episode 6 was great. Dat drama. The ending was great too,
I thought he wasn't gonna show for a second. My heart would've broke, and I don't even like Kuroneko.
Ayase is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters ever.

I'm very excited for the future.

The public excitement over Oreimo 6 is getting me too giddy.

Tell me this delivers, cjkeats. Tell me!

Do you like draaammaaaaaa? Do you like Ayase induced laughs? Do you like phsyco dad? Then you will like this episode!
Episode isn't lewd enough

Ultima! How's it goin'? I took a break from anime because of something that happened IRL, but I just couldn't resist the moe any longer.

You were one of the 2 or 3 that cared about my Madoka journey. Now you're back to make me uncomfortable with that avatar again, lol.
Hope all is good.

It's all good, man. Summer just started for me. Funny thing, I recently have been taking a break from anime for the most part. Only watching three or so shows this season and even then not on schedule. That said, I have been watching The Sopranos and Mad Men!

Well, that was awkward. Kyosuke and Kirino can't date anyone or the other will get jealous? This episode makes it seem like those two really do want to bone.

:lol I'm glad to be of service.

Dear god. Non-anime television? You monster.

Yo! These reactions to the latest episode are morbidly enticing.

After the past two episodes its pretty much a foregone conclusion that they do want to bone. lol

Well, maybe it's just reflective of myself here, but I feel like it's more innocent than that.

It could very well just be a "time spent together" type of jealousy. If she was dating a boy who had all the same interests she has then the brother, and by extension maybe even the circle, would become less relevant to her.

It's not exactly criminal to want to spend time with your siblings, even if these two have a strange relationship together, I still look at it from a more objective perspective rather than romantic. These two have an entire lifetime to play the dating game, but they only really have a year or two together until the brother moves out. I know I became much more distant from my brother and sister once they moved out.

THIS. I think a lot of people cling to the title of the show too much, which I believe is actually the point of the title(I've always taken it as referring to the eroge she plays, just trolling the audience).
Also, lets not forget the time they spent hating each other in the past. We got a glimpse of it at the beginning of the season, but I bet we are gonna get a much deeper look into the past of these two.

The title uses "cute" as in the opposite of bratty/obnoxious.
It's a thing in Japanese to call a bratty kid "not cute."

Funny to see the negative reactions to ep6 in AnimeGAF.
Regardless of where it actually goes, teasing incest stuff (but always with plausible deniability!) has been a part of the show from the beginning.

For me though I must admit I haven't been enjoying the second season as much.
I'm not really invested in the romance aspects of the show; the parts that made me like the first season were the otaku humor stuff--Kirino arguing with Kuroneko, watching anime, buying/playing eroge, squeeing over her body pillow, etc. and it feels like there's been less of that this season.

Google translates the shows official page to "my little sister is not cute". Makes me laugh every time.

I feel like we're getting less of this stuff because they're trying to cram it all in one season. Should've been two seasons long of you ask me.

Episode 7

Nice episode. I'm not on the Kuroneko team, but the coupling is getting interesting. Kirino and Sena were pretty good in this episode as well. I'm kind of surprised that Kirino's taking this fairly well, considering the whole hoopla in the previous two episodes.

Oh, and this ep's ED was fun!

This was a fun one. The game club is hillairous. Sena is too good.
I get the feeling everyone including Kirino was already in on it. I'm not even a big fan of Kuroneko, but she was off the rails adorable this episode.

The ED was adorable. I hope we get more of Kuronekos sisters. I don't think the older one was in S1 was she?

Nope, I only remember the younguns.

And I suppose that Kuroneko
asked Kirino about the confession ahead of time?
That would be the most likely reason why Kirino was already in the know.

Has to be. Unless its all gonna come around ad go to shit. I mean, no one other than the game club has actually been told yet on screen.
Off topic but I like your avatar.
Thanks! I cut it out of a screen shot. I loved that episode. Senjo is a goddess
Kuroneko's sister will totally kill cajun, especially the pic in the ending.
I do hope someone shows him! its his birthday today i think. I don't think he's watching the show this season however.

Episode 7

That was fantastic.
Easily my favorite episode of the second season. (Wow it's been seven weeks already!?)

I need to amend this:
I'm not really invested in the romance aspects of the show
What I meant was, I wasn't particularly concerned with who pairs up with whom.
But I love this sort of lovey-dovey dokidoki romance stuff. I was grinning so much.
Reminds me of parts of my favorite romance games/eroge, like the early part of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.
Also the confession scene to the camera at the beginning, so awesome when they do that.
Haha man this one episode has really improved my overall impression of the second season.

I totally don't remember Ogura Yui (the ending singer this time) voicing Kuroneko's youngest sister in the first season; did that character have any speaking lines in the first season?

Kuronekos other sister(the older one) did appear in S1, but only for a second and she doesn't say anything.

She did! Episode 9. Where everyone is at their homes and Kirino gets way into that one eroge. We get to see Kuroneko at home for the first time.

Yes, I'm 31 today.

Im watching Oreimo 2 but Only on episode 3. Work doesn't leave a lot of time to watch anything. I still watch it for Kuroneko of course. whether she ends up with loser MC or not is irrelevant (she probably wont).

Also yes Senjou is a goddess.

Didn't watch Yesterday's episode on Crunchyroll because... I had guests over.

But, I found time this morning. Adorable, awkward, whatever. I loved it. Such a guilty pleasure (I have the light novels locked away somewhere).

I wished you one the other day in animeGAF, but allow me to wish you a very hnnggg birthday again!

You are gonna loveeeeeee the most recent one. As others have been saying, so much Kuroneko adorableness.

So I've managed to plow through S1, the in-betweens, and through S2 ep 6 since about Friday. I sometimes can't tell if the show is being genuine or just mocking me, but I can't stop watching.

Stating that character drama has never been Oreimo's forte would be kind and the "revelation" people were making a hoopla about around its airing could be seen miles away (in the first season). Nonetheless, these episodes were jam-packed awkwardness and written with the teenage ham-fisted gusto I could only imagine perfectly matches the source material (though I really don't care whether or not that's the case). Hilarious stuff.

Ep8

What the hell are they doing, augh. I had thought that volume 8 would end this episode, but no such luck.

I wouldn't complain if they were using the slower pace to good effect, but they cut my angel's screentime AGAIN. I highly suspect literally every single anime-only viewer will go "huh, what?" at the beginning of the episode because of ths cut. It makes no sense.

They did throw in a couple minor lines from volume 9, which I was hoping they would, but not enough to say they really 'covered it'. Because of the current pace, they pretty much have to skip the entire volume... I think. But this adaptation never goes the way I expect it to, so who knows.
