personally I feel like they difficulty is actually improved, the game is a lot less frustrating, enemies don't feel so much like bulletsponges and ammo is not as crazy scarce, and I don't miss the one-hit-kill ninja cops one bit or random armored cops spawns that basically meant you lost.
that being said the game is a lot easier than the first one and I can't really tell the difference between hard, very hard, overkill, etc. they should probably spike those up and alter the rewards accordingly.
and I can't say this enough, I really wish the game gave you some basic communication tools beside "press F for everyhing"

I have to be the most unlucky Payday 2 player on the planet in terms of loot drop variety. I had the same mask pattern drop 8 times tonight, yes you read that right, 8 god damn times. After the 4th time all I could do was laugh, just like everyone else in my lobby.

I know that feel. I think I'm on something like 5 electric patterns already. I've only gotten 1 mask drop in 25 levels or whatever I'm on now.

I use the AK762 with whatever attachments I have plus the revolver, with two medkits/Mastermind build. So far I'm rather pleased with it. I keep waiting for new and better attachments but all I get is masks and patterns which I don't care about. Well mostly don't care about. I got the Cthulhu mask today and I'm thinking about replacing my silver Mr Smooth mask with it - it's pretty scary looking.

Yup that's Electric Center. That thing dropped so much during the beta they decided to make it an infamous item (low % drop chance) but it looks like they only made the change on PC. It got so bad that people had like 50 patterns by the end of the beta.
They'll probably do a big update on console later to fix that.

Wish I could even get masks, I've only found 1 which is really ugly (Shogun) so far in 30 levels. Literally all I get is extensions to weapons I will never use (mostly shotguns).

Dominator and the extra cable ties are invaluable for stealthing levels. Infact, there quite a number of useful team bonuses and crowd control perks.
Were you trying to stealth? The AI tends to stay out of the way when you're doing that since it can't really do anything anyway. They'll stay outside the jewelry store too, for example.
yeah just got joker and converting cops is actually cooler than I thought. I'll dig a bit deeper in the tree I think, I already got the 2 medic bags skill too
also just had like the best team ever, we straight out did watchdogs and firestarters overkill on the first try, clean and fast, we got 1.5mil on those two.
btw I was hoping that super long heist list will be indicative of the amount of heists at release, so I'm pretty disappointed about that :/

crimenet is the worst thing with how broken it is on PS3 right now. jobs pop up and then almost immediately disappear, you have to rush the fake mouse cursor over to try to get to it before it vanishes, and then every time I have tried (like 10 or more just now) it says the room is full.
just put in some simple matchmaking instead of making me chase things around the screen with a fake mouse pointer

I really wish there was a trading system or something in place to stop duplicate masks. Also confining the weapon mods to something I actually own. I really didn't need 3 copies of The Perfect Stranger and a bunch of ammo extensions for guns I don't have.
I just unlocked the saw and its cool but I think I regret not going for shaped charges. The basic saw runs out of a blade so fast.

It seems so, and there is the suggestion since things like Cloakers and Saferoom Customization aren't in the game yet, they'll be added in later (especially as they have confirmed the only DLC they have worked on so far has been Armored Transport, the rest will be made based on community feedback).
However, you will unlock the heist Big Oil at level 40 right now.

C4 for tech is the best one on his list. Enforcer has alot good ones like saw and being faster and throwing further bags. Ghost is exactly what it sounds with faster lockpicking and being like a ghost overall (and i think he gets more infamous items).
The mastermind is basically the skill to controll the match. You can buy infos cheaper, your teammates get more exp, you can control civilians easily,medibags,reviving from civilians,reviving per pistolshot and converting cops into allies. This one is basically perfect for somebody who wants to be in control and dont want to face enemies upfront because you can revive somebody from the distance. Ghost is for somebody who wants to stay quite and wants to play a bit selfish. Tech is for somebody who wants a good team to easily finish a level or placing sentries (they are useless later) and staying behind the team. Enforcers saw is good for a few levels and he can end up as a melee guy with saw or just being a tanky guy.

The point of day 1 of Rats is to cook 3 bags without blowing up the cooking table and then escape with the bags.
Bane is sometimes confused about which ingredient is next. If you hear him being a bit unsure, wait for it and he'll say it again, either repeating what he said earlier (which basically confirms that's the right ingredient) or he'll change his mind and mention a different ingredient, so you use that one. But once the table blows up, it's done, you have no options but to escape.
But if you don't have the 3 bags, you won't be able to trade the meth for the intel in day 2, which makes that day more troublesome (but not impossible) for finding the intel yourself.
And then, if you don't get the intel, day 3 has a drastically lower payoff since you can't diffuse the C4 that's lying inside the briefcases in the bus.

I'm running into this odd issue and from searching this thread, I guess other people haven't run into this. The game is frame limiting me to only 135fps. Which is a really odd and arbitrary limit. It won't let me select 144fps. If I turn V-Sync on, it limits me to 50fps...
(I guess next stop is the Steam hub, but I figure I'd mention it here anyway and see if I'm the only one having this issue)

it's a good idea to have one point at least in enforcer and mastermind so you can always bring medkits/ammo bags
