I did this, but the C4 makes pretty much every day one mission stupidly easy, and has a strong bearing on others. Because you can blow doors and safes, it shortens levels dramatically.
I would reluctantly say it is to good. I don't see how they could gimp it though without making it useless, ie, reduce the number of them that can be carried.

For solo Bank Job, from my own poking and prodding at the level, it seems like you need a ECM jammer to 'silence' the bank tellers. I can't find any other way of dealing with them.
Also the shout to revive skill in Mastermind would be reall good if it actually worked consistently. Too often it either doesn't work (you see the shout and the hand animation but nothing happens) or it overlaps with friendlies and special enemies (so they're the ones who are called instead, rather than reviving the fallen player)

Can't blame them really, 99% of time they mess up big time or flat out refusing to do or not bother with whatever you have to tell them to do, from my experience. Plus this has been a trend since the first Payday.

Anyone else having a really hard time finding groups for serious stealth? Even in the discussion forums it feels like if you arent in a group its very hard to organise one, despite having made alot of effort. If anyone needs a spare man im level 57 with enough money to spec and re-spec into anything thats needed, would be nice to play this game with people over voice chat instead of chancing pub games. Im experienced, ive done every mission on overkill many times, stealthing every mission that can be stealthed.
I finally got a perfect Bank job down, the problem is
it takes an HOUR to loot and unlock everything, and carry every bag by myself
I respecced into a maximum offense build and it was sheer comedy watching so many things drop dead at once. Mind controlled a guy, dropped a turret at the door, and everything dropped dead at once.
Had to respect back into stealth lockpicking though, since the drilling perk didn't exactly work out for me. Though I might try it again if the MP bug fix on the PS3 comes by tonight or early this week.

Though, gotta admit, I just hit level 30, so maybe there are some new heists unlocked for me, since I remember reading here that some are locked until you hit certain levels.

I'm past level 50 and have yet to see them. I'm quite disappointed in how few heists there are.

You should try and play with MickeyKnox and Constapatience. They're pretty awesome for doing stealth runs. I hadn't really had a chance to play with any groups who took stealth seriously before playing with them yesterday and that shit was an eyeopener for me. Such a different experience than I was used to. Haha, sorry for noobing up your game, guys.

Yeah, same here. Starting to worry about how many missions will be sold as DLC later.
Also, I have to admit that the CCE was a bust. The Bain PDF is basically an instruction manual and the in-game discount is minimal. Soundtrack is great, though - not $20 great, but still.
Lastly, downsampling takes care of AA quite well in this game. You can also force SGSSAA with the same Nvidia bits from Payday 1 if you want.
that list was just a "planned heists" list that got leaked. many of those are apparently scrapped, etc.
still the actual amount of heists in the game is pretty lacking, specially since a bunch of them are really short and uninteresting

I wouldn't ever consider playing this game without friends on mumble. In game PS3/360 voice chat would seem a disaster for it.

A paltry 10%. And it wasn't even applied until update #2, long after I already made my weapon purchases (revolver and Reinfeld are all I need).
My current kit is a stealth heavy M4 and a MP5. Both equipped with Silencer barrels. without armor this kit gets me to around 50% visibility which is enough to do some overkill missions via stealth.
After playing a bit more though, it seems like that talent in the ghost branch that lowers threat in combat may prove more useful than it seems.
I really want a pistol light/laser though, and a few grip attachments for rifles.

It blows my mind at the amount of randoms that refuse to wait while I or a friend take out guards/cameras on certain heists, I mean it's just a few minutes, nobody has patience in this game. I've had the first part of framing frame almost completely locked down when some idiot comes in and stands in front of a camera I have yet to destroy. Not to mention the amount of cuffed guards from my dominator perk I've seen executed needlessly lol. 90% of the people I've played with simply say fuck it to stealth and go in guns blazing right away and never even think about it as an option. The entirety of framing frame is a cakewalk if you stealth it, so is the jewelry store and a few others.

The problem is that for many maps, it's a lot a quicker and profitable to just go in guns blazing. They really need to add some bonuses for stealth runs.

I don't know about the Payday 2 GAF group since I haven't been able to get an invite into it, but MickeyKnox is in the general GAF group on Steam.
I guess I've just been lucky. Most of my random games have had pretty good players, who while being unskilled and low level, were happy to have the more experienced players take the lead and show them the ropes.
Of course we still managed to fuck up the last level of Framing Frame when a camera on the floor above us saw the body of a guard through the floor. I love this game, but it's buggy as shit.

stealth is worthwhile because it's fun to stealth through maps or to see how far you can go. it'd be nice though if there were a few sideobjectives like in framing frames that were gated the moment you got caught, but this game is a shooter foremost, I don't want to run into people restarting the moment stealth fails every single time.

The shock and awe approach with shaped charges is already tiring. XP and cash give out should be rebalanced so that it would favor all types of play, with a bonus towards using assets.
As it is, everything is so routine now and feels almost like a job. Even the group I play with has fallen into it.

Just got the game this weekend with 2 of my friends. We only play together (on PS3), using headsets, shooting the shit and doing some heists. Leveling up, gradually getting better stuff until we are confident to pull off the bigger heists. I'm purely Mastermind focused, buddy is Ghost/Technician hybrid and other buddy full Enforcer.
This is basically a violent version of Skype for us now every evening. I love it. Felt so good when we pulled off perfect Nightclub and Jewelry heists.
.....and blew up the meth lab too on the first try ;P

yeah, me too. This game is horrendously boring after level 30ish if you play by yourself. At 50+ , everyone just spams Ukran Jobs and Watchdog missions...and without a team/communication...stealth is nearly impossible. I'm level 50ish as well, looking for a team. add me if you wish to play, otherwise I don't think I'm ever going to play again lol.

Did that very thing last night with a few lads with nary a shot fired. It got to the point where we were playing hacky-sack with the money on Day 2. We also did Bank Heist: Gold and cleared all the deposit boxes without any police presence; ended up with something like 5 bags of Gold, 4 bags of money and about $300K instant cash. I'm now sitting on a cool 2.5 million spending cash waiting for my skill points to catch up.
Although I do like a good firefight now and then, I absolutely love taking areas entirely by stealth and clearing every valuable out. That's how the professionals do it.
I know. But the competent player that's just not at a high level yet is getting shafted too.
This game needs filters. Lots. I wanna be able to filter heists on crime.net and I want level filters for hosts (otherwise we'll have mass-kicking anyway). And stealth flags for hosts to set!
