Awesome awesome show! Love all the characters in it and they are so genuine. Especially love the character growth and how the team grows more and more every week! A rich collection of characters!

Reece's character has grown so much as well, he's not so cold now and shows a lot of warmth especially when Finch was taken by Root.

Oh and the babes...THE BABES! All so hot! Like an army of lovely brunettes!

wow the machine evolving again, stopping the suicide of a genius.

Maybe Carter will bring out those latex gloves again for the interrogation.
 
holy shit that episode was so damn good. one of the best the show has had which speaks volumes because, Reece really wasn't in it which meant no action or jason bourne moments. shows the strength of the writing, premise, and cast where Harold could carry on a side mission without any ass kicking and it still ends up being one of the better episodes.

Awesome episode though wow. Finch was so concerned about the kid :( And sounds like Finch tried to commit suicide at one point in his life too... It didn't sound like his faking his death incident...

I wonder if we'll ever see/I want to see his backstory someday haha. I want to know about his limp and spinal thing too.
 
I thought this episode kind of sucked, that whole thing of today's youth being some alternate breed was laughable, as was any number of similar observations. I thought the evidence tampering was poorly done too.

Not the weakest episode ever, but the worst in a long while.
 
I think it's pretty ballsy for a show to take its main protagonist out of the picture in an arc. The episode may not have worked for everyone, but props to the other characters for picking up the slack. The case had some interesting developments regardless of what you might think of the overall quality.
 
I saw this by accident on (german) TV last week, an episode with bank robbery, no idea what was going on but it seemed really neat. I guess I need to catch up with this and buy season 1.
 
So good, this show is definitely one of my all time favourites.

Says alot about the characters and universe of this show that it's able to produce an excellent episode without its main character.

I heard the german dub is really bad, even for german dub standards. you should watch in english.

loved the episode, btw. i thought the evidence tempering would be harder to do, but I look forward to the interrogation
 
How convenient that as soon as Reese is out of the picture, Finch gets a number that is RIGHT UP HIS ALLEY (or maybe they get a bunch of numbers and just pick whichever's the easiest).

As a computer science major, I deem the science in this episode to be not terrible by TV standards.

i think poi handled pseudo-science pretty well up to now. no double-keyboard hacking battle

Great episode. Finch has been an uber cyber vigilante since the Cold War! Emerson did great in the ending of the episode with the teenage genius. Next episode ought to be awesome as well. Carter fake interrogating John? Ha. Carter in this episode was pretty funny. In for a penny, in for a pound. Loved the hilarious fake bubbly thing she had with the guy she stole DNA from.

Fusco is boss as always.

Marathoned the first 15 episodes, I really like it. I have problems with some of the "CSI" stuff they have in there, but that's just because I despise that show, but it's not that bad.

Characters are great and they seem to keep it fresh quite a bit throughout the season.
 
Glad you're enjoying it.
It still surprises me with the overarching stories how good they are at mixing it up.
can't recall any episode lacking something good.

Episode 8 of season 1(Foe) is still my favorite episode, I really need to watch it again soon.
 
So is this quite popular in the US? I could understand why it's not well recieved here, but I can see me digging into it.

last episode had the highest rating (16.1 million viewer) the show ever had and it started out as the highest rated drama on television. so it does just fine ;)
