I know but I prefer the 360 controller. It would be nice for this to be only on ps3, for me.

It's scary how many gaffers think like that.grandjedi6 said:Your logic makes no sense.

-only SMT ive played is Nocturne, which is brilliant but unforgivably hard as shit goes on...i will finish it one day, though. are there any others in the series that absolutely must be played? unlike persona, this series carries plot bits over, yeah?
-I adored P3 FES, and lost a chunk of my life to it. i put down 4 early on for fear of the same, and only a handful of characters'd introduced themselves...do they get better/more interesting? cause someone else made the comment in this thread, but im not getting the vie i did with SEES and that crew. i know the system's improved, which is great, but im hoping it didnt come with a dropoff of character/plot.

Character development in P4 is light-years beyond most JRPG work. No forgetting characters exist for long stretches, no unrealistic melodrama, no lolandroids, no irritating kids.
Barakov said:I was hoping for SMT4. I'll take a new Persona, providing they take it out of the school setting.

ProudClod said:Not sure if that would happen. P1, P2 IS & EP, P3 and P4 all had a high school setting. Besides, Persona 3 and 4 created an SMT boom that brought a lot of new people to the SMT bandwagon. If anything, they'll capitalize on the new fanbase.
DR2K said:Aren't there plenty or JRPGs on that system already? :lol
P2 EP didn't have a high-school setting all the main characters were adults from memory, and persona 2 barely had a high-school setting, since you didn't go to school on a constant basis like persona 3 & 4.:lolProudClod said:Not sure if that would happen. God you people, do you honestly think those didn't cross his mind at all when he was posting? Why must you fall for the bait like that?DR2K said:No sir. Tales of Vesperia, Star ocean 4(sans the cutscenes), Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey were all quality.

No, the teaser site for the game SMT: Strange Journey, to be revealed later this week and to be released Oct 8 (which is after TGS).Paracelsus said:The announcement of a teaser site to a countdown site leading to TGS?

Because there are forums of rabid internet trolls scouring the web for the slightest bit of news on their favourite franchises?vicissitudes said:Can't a company just announce a game, then release it a few months later? Why must there be so much rumors and speculations and countdowns to announcements of announcements?

Alot of it rather subtle, either in how a change comes about, or how the previous unhealthy habits and neurosis are shown...or hidden (one character in particular was headed for a NASTY attitude before boss-fight readjustment. Few talk about her as if they even caught it).
The game's full of life-like little touches, foreshadowing, or aftershocks of stuff that happened. It's not perfect, but I for one am glad that the rather faux heavy shonen tropes of P3 went away for the sequel.
highluxury said:I have to say the removal of the Persona 5 blurb has sparked my curiousity though, Hmm.
HouseofGlass said:But actually somebody earlier said that P4 is a lot darker than P3 and I can't even begin to understand where THAT would come from. If anything it's the exact opposite of the truth. I don't want to start spoiling stuff since people here haven't played it but P4 is much more happy go lucky pretty much the whole way through. That doesn't necessarily make it a worse game depending on what you want out of it, but I don't think you can objectively say P4 is a darker game than P3.
Vorador said:Imo is too early for Persona 5 to be announced. I expect SMT4 before it.
No way P4 is darker than P3. I played both to completion and P4 is far more lighthearted in plot, development and characters.
