Persona 5 Won't Be Out In North America Until February 2017

I remember thinking it was kinda crazy how late in the PS2's life that Persona 4 came out, but damn, Persona 5 still coming to PS3 almost 11 years after the system launched is nuts.

I wonder what the differences will be between the PS3 and PS4 versions.
Going above and beyond the 10 year life cycle.

No. God. Damn. NO

This is 2016 Atlus wtf, one of your biggest series shouldn't be getting a NA release 5 months down the line

We're talking about a company that still pretty much ignores one of the biggest game markets in the world. Atlus is stuck in the 90s.

Can't wait to see the localized PV's at E3!

On media black out in september I guess.

The delay doesn't really phase me. Large RPGs take time for localisation and with conserved companies like Atlus it's japan first international later. Meaning the team get their hands on the game late in or after development.

I have a feeling SEGA/Atlus saw how packed 2016 is with RPGs and were like, nope, better wait. I mean even Atlus is localizing TMS so that might be taking up a lot of resources as well.

This also means that Atlus probably wasn't localizing Persona5 while developing it either...

Not surprised some of my friends thought Atlus had a team of translation guys working to have it out ASAP. February is a good time at least here in New England it's still winter out and dark.

In the past getting my hands on P3 then P4 a few years later in the November timeframe erased three months of my life.

I was expecting December but hey, given the intense amount of games coming in the fall (unless some of those move to spring?), February is the right time for this game (for me personally). It's still super unfortunate for everyone who had their hearts ready for this game in 2014, though. Hopefully everyone can fill the void with some of the fall games till then.

Tempted to order from gamespot. Comes out at $120 shipped to Europe.
I never ordered from GS before, will I able to cancel if I need to?

Even though Europe is getting the rough end again, is there a chance we will still get a limited or premium edition ?

That collector's edition has terrible terrible photoshop doesn't it? Everything looks artificial like quickly mocked up concepts. I like the concept and would buy hoping that the final thing actually looks real, but the picture is really bad.

Yes, basically everything there is a Photoshop mockup, and it explicitly says "art not final" in the corner.

Seems like the steelbook will be the only cover available at launch for PS4, which is a bummer since I really dig that normal cover.

Anybody else disappointed with the CD included, I mean the Japanese version has the OST's from all 5 games, I'm going to have to buy the jpn collectors and the American standard now ,aren't I?

UK btw

Yeah, I thought about that. Kind of disappointed it's not the same as the Japanese CD.
