1. What are your thoughts on FemC and how different do you think she is from the Male P3MC?
I love her.
I love her, I love her, I love her, I love her, I love her, I love her, I love her, I love her. She was like,
the reason why I got Persona 3 Portable over FES. I mean sure, i'd be missing the original experience as intended, with all the bells and whistles... but honestly, who cares? Getting to play an RPG like Persona 3 as a girl? A game that recognizes you as such, and not just as some lame reskin of the male protagonist? Fuck.
Yes. I knew going in that that playing her route would be something that I've never experienced before, and I was right. Everything from the music, the hud design, the dialogue responses, the slinks... I loved how everything was radically different from my experience in
Persona 4. In comparison to the male protagonist, she benefits from the fact that the P3 team got better at writing (and her slinks are better as a result) though, and her "personality" was the most distinct. On the other hand, I actually preferred the male P3MC's design more and I also felt that his personality (or the closest thing to a personality) was a better match for Persona 3. Overall I really, really liked her. It's not every day you get to play as such a fun, cute protagonist. Shoutouts to not being forced to date your husbandos if you want to max out their social links.
2. What did you think to Shinjiro's story in P3 and his Social Link in Portable?
He's part of some of the more important setpieces in the story, but overall he pretty flat in the original P3. He's given a lot more development in P3P via his social link, which makes him a lot more likeable. His social link happens to be one of the best slinks in the series to boot.
3. What do you think of Orpheus' female redesign? What do you think of Castor?
Terrible. Her design looks like fanfiction. Castor's alright; it gets bonus points for being Polydeuces's twin. I dig how it was a dangerous Persona that couldn't be controlled, though I would have liked to be given a bit more information on it.
4. What did you think about the changes made to the story in Portable when playing as FemC, however minor they were?
I talked about this in my first post, but to reiterate: after having played through the male protagonist's route, I really appreciate how the game totally changes when you play as a her. Changes to the slinks and how romance was handled were obviously appreciated, but little things like how the characters interacted with you (ie: Junpei, Yukari and Fuuka) were pretty great. Some of the scenes played out slightly differently as well.
5. How well do you feel Shinjiro was portrayed in Persona Q?
6. If FemC and Shinji were in an 'Arena' game, how would they play and what would some moves be?
FeMC: Hard to say. You can do literally anything with her. A focus on medium range attacks with an elemental focus on Fire? Maybe? She's a
total wildcard..
Shinji: This one's a no-brainer. Strong and burly. Great range, tons of health and good damage. Slow speed. He'd need some sort of gimmick to set himself apart from the rest of the cast though.
