Oh and uhhhhh.... Where is your avatar from???

That's a selfie I took this morning.

Ah man... feels like ages ago we were speculating on the theme of Persona 5 and if it'd be related to the then-cliffhangers presented in Persona 4 Arena.

One of my fav PGAF memories was everyone at each other's throats because Persona 5 didn't get announced during that August 2013 Persona Music Fest thing.

Wasn't AtlusUSA's first mention of the whole 2015 thing right after the February Stream?

We probably won't get a firm release date from the stream itself, but we might get a ballpark announcement.

We are looking for a concrete release date at this point.

The interesting thing about doing crossovers with P5 and the other games now if done is that P5 takes place 4-5 years after.

I really enjoyed Soul Hackers. Akihiko is in it but he has different hair and says his name is Spooky for some reason.

Was watching over PV3, and some random things I noticed again. Putting these in spoilers.

Guy sees blood like red stuff on the train and freaks out goes to the same school as the protagonists.

At 4/16 in the red light district a movie theater, vending machine, bar or place that serves alcohol, some sort of place with a flower, and a place with two circular stacks can all be seen

At 4/19, a healing clinic, a shop, a cafe, a recycling place, another movie theater, a basketball court, and a few other places can be seen.

At 4/22, an archery range and statue can be seen

At 4/20 in the school a cafe + a place with a bread icon can be seen. As well as a vending machine

4/18 - Castle dungeon - Ann either joins or has joined already.
5/28 - Art Museum - Yusuke joins and his mentor is related to the dungeon somehow.
8/8 - Pyramid - Unknown girl joins or has joined already. Yusuke is in the party and can be seen running away from the Indiana Jones style trap.
9/28 - Sci-fi Dungeon

The dungeon where they do the all out attack appears to take place in the Pyramid? The Demons/Shadows/Personas are fairly decent level. Stats are noticeably lower than when they're fighting the boss later on tho so maybe it's the castle.

The ball the boss shoots says "Sumiko" on it as well as "Sarve"

The protesters are holding up signs that, according to Mystic, say "Accept your punishment!" and "Face your punishment from God!"

I made this list for the dungeons awhile back. I'm assuming there are 2-3 missing dungeons. Only one extra one.

July:?
August:

September:

Also, (gameplay spoiler)
there might be some sort of system like the sub-Personas from Persona Q in play. The amount of SP everyone has is not consistent from screenshot to screenshot in PV3

Protagonist has 36 SP to Ryuji's 46 in the all out attack, but in the boss battle the protagonist has 132 to Ryuji's 111. Morgana and Ann have also swapped places slightly. Morgana has 50 SP and Ann has 66 in the all out attack, but Morgana has slightly more (140 to Ann's 139) in the boss battle.

Pretty sure that's different from how Persona 3/4 worked isn't it? HP and SP were consistent in those two games barring accessories.

That's possible. Could also be due to a difference in level, which has evened out by the end of dungeon.
Maybe Protag and Morgana are the starting party at level 1, and Ryuji and Ann join later with a higher level?

Also, do we know why some days are colored differently?

Red means free day, probably? September 22th is the Shuubun Holiday in Japan.

11/3 is also red in a screenshot. According to wikipedia that's Culture Day in Japan. You may be on to something.

As for the blue, we've seen 4/30 and 6/25 as well with that color. Along with 4/16 they're all Saturday. I don't think that's it though.

Red= holiday, Blue = weekend (oh but wait, Japanese schools aren't out on Saturday, right?) White = Schoolday?

I believe Saturdays are typically a half-day. Also a quick search tells me it varies from school to school if there are classes on Saturday (though I'm also seeing stuff from a few years back about "going back to a six day school week" stuff so maybe it has since changed).

I find it both good and bad that i found Persona so late. Good, cause i haven't gone through the wait everyone else has

Bad, cause i still want P3's era to be relevant since i haven't had as much time with them as everyone else has :<

If this actually happens then I want P5 in my hands right now

Sub-Personas sounds like a great way to add further depth to the series, but haven't you spoken about how PQ handles that system poorly before?

Same thought. Liked the idea because it would allow the default persona for mc stay relevant rather than swapping him out the first chance you get. less than 24 hours for the reveal.

I didn't mind it in Q because the roster was huge and a big part of it was putting all your favourites together, but the sub-persona system makes everyone viable in any situation. This would mean that any strategy behind putting your party together in P5 would fly out the window.

I prefer "use the characters I want" over "use the characters I have to"

Let the strategy be in building the characters, not picking them. FFVII versus FF9

PQ failed by not distributing EXP and making grinding such a drag forcing you to either die of boredom grinding, or use the same characters the whole game.

Yeah, I'd really like to see them keep using sub personas. It lets the starting ones remain relevant throughout the game, whilst giving a lot more customisation to party members than you had in 3 and 4. Would make sense if they were going to do more storywise with the initial Personas as well.

There's still some teammate diversity if you have an affinity system with sub personas, or if you make their fixed skills more significant too.

That would work really well actually. IDK if anyone has played it but wasn't that something they did with SMT IV Final in terms of skill inheritance?

It'd make sense for Ryuji to get more benefits from a sub phys build than to try and turn him into your main spellcaster.

Yeah, in Final some skills are better on certain demons.

I wonder when we can expect more in-depth discussion of rpg mechanics like teammate personas. I doubt that's the kind of thing they'd spend a lot of time on when they have a very public event like the Tokyo Tower takeover. Maybe Famitsu?

They're taking over the second largest structure in the country and putting out newspaper adverts. It's not going to be for a delay to 2017.

Famitsu usually goes into more detail than the events, and will probably have an interview too. There should be a feature next week, and we know that there will be a Dengeki one. So sounds likely, although I'm sure they won't reveal everything at once.
