I don't think that the "SMT brand of toughness" applies there. That's just a stupid trophy without much thought into it. Which... is most of the trophies for Persona 4 Golden, actually. :p
Yeah, no, this isn't "SMT Toughness" this is "The Computer Cheats" bullshit.

Fuck. You. Score Attack

It isn't SMT if you don't feel like you've been fucked over.
Or maybe that's just me. >_>;

There's a difference between being fucked over because you made a mistake and something that you couldn't possibly know about because it required a guide and doing not one but several counter-intuitive steps that nobody in their right mind would ever consider and the game is actively telling you not to do.

Score Attack in P4A is bullshit. It was called something else entirely in BlazBlue and not made a requirement for anything cause it's so stupid, but renamed and made the default one in P4A. It ruins what's otherwise a perfectly fine trophy set. >_<

Good choice. You don't know the pain of Yosuke with perma speed buff or Aigis with brutal Orgia mode.

But those are two of the easiest SA characters! Granted, I've only beaten SA with Liz, but the hardest for me was definitely Elizabeth herself with insta-kills everywhere and being able to recover her entire health.

As a person located geographically in the Australiasian region I don't have the faintest clue what you are talking about for some reason

Normal Score Attack is fine. P4A's SA is actually called Unlimited Mars, which is awful. There's no skill involved in it, just your ability to out-cheese your opponent with every character in the game.

Score Attack mode in Persona 4 Arena. AKA Unlimited Mars mode from Blazblue with a different name. AKA Cheapass Boss mode.

Nobody likes it, and I'll cast Hama on anyone who says otherwise.

Could someone explain the whole alien prophecy thing to me(persona 2)? I'm about to fight
joker
and I still don't understand WTF is going on.

I'm not sure how vague you want me to be, but:

There's a Mayan prophecy about the end of the world and the advent of a higher civilization that some people are trying to bring about, and spreading rumors is part of that goal. The Masquerade is just one faction, there's another with differing goals...

Yep, it's all about
the rumors
. I played Persona 4 first, but if I had played P2:IS before P4 I might have thought that the Midnight Channel was a product of
a false rumor that became reality. (though I guess it's a bit like that because the characters that are shown on the Midnight Channel are depictions of how society believes they truly are like)

You know,
Nyarlathotep's
involvement in P4 Arena lends a lot of credence to that theory.

I think you might be right.

Yup, almost all of us have it on PS3.

I'm all for doing a lobby. I haven't played in awhile, and my skills with Aigis need some polishing. :D

Actually I'd play right now if I had the time. >_>;

I think im actually gonna get it on ps3 even though I already have it on 360, I feel so left out...

How is P4 Arena as a single player game? I never had much interest in it until I found out there's some story stuff involved. I don't play games online so I'm not really interested in the multiplayer aspects.

Long story mode (20+ hours), but once you're done with that there's not much except improving your skills or being suicidal and tackling Score Attack.

What the hell happened to Philemon

Yeah, it's as Sophia said. Specifically, from the P4 art book:

Soejima: In "Persona 1" and "Persona 2 [Innocent Sin / Eternal Punishment]" ("Persona 2"), there was a character named Philemon who was sort of Igor's superior and had a special relationship with the Persona powers. Whenever Philemon would interact with humans, he would wear a mask that had a butterfly design theme. His presence was quite obvious in "Persona 2", but he wasn't in "P3" or "P4". I wanted some way to keep his legacy alive, to make the player feel like Philemon was still watching over them... and looking into them. The butterfly therefore became a sort of symbol that represents Philemon.

I don't like that shitty, past-it's-prime, Fisher Price feeling controller.

Only reason I can ever see getting it on the 360 is if you have an arcade stick. The 360 D-pad is worse, and the community was always going to be absent.

So, um, where does the butterfly appear in PS2 Persona 3?

Appears at the start of story mode when the MC signs the contract.
Also appears in The Answer when Aigis obtains her powers. Note how the Velvet Room hasn't been changed for her.
