Yeah, you can get fucked over by the One More! system pretty badly if you aren't careful.
That's probably my favorite line too; always loved the delivery of it. Part of why Yosuke's my favorite character.

Re: One more vs Press Turn, this is actually why I liked P3's implementation of One More over P4's. It actually gives you a reason to keep the single target elemental spells, since you don't get extra turns as long as all the targets are weak to the spell.
At the same time, it's a lot more dangerous on the enemy side in P4 since it only takes a single Crit/Weak for the enemy to get another turn. My V. Hard P4G run hurts because of this. I fear for my party every time I can't get Player Advantage.

I really, REALLY like p4's soundtrack. I would love it to be influenced by it, but i'd also like a more...electronic influence for the dungeons.

I'd love to see some electronic infused rock like that. The last two albums would be the kind of thing I can imagine in Persona. Stuff like Overworld would be too heavy, I think.
As an aside, I wouldn't mind having Benjamin Franklin on vocals. He's ace in Trauma Team.

I actually hope that each character when its their turn, get their own genre of music, but when its the shadows or demons turn, it just switches to some phat "baller" dubstep

That has actually given me a headache. It wasn't too awful until the chorus.
I do too, but only if they can achieve the same quality as P2. I felt like a lot of P4A's themes didn't really fit the characters that much.

Those don't count for the same type of character theme. RPG character themes and fighting game character themes are different beasts, broski. I feel like P1 actually had better character themes than P2 btw....but damn it, that Maya theme....
P2-style character themes are totally possible, brah.
I didn't even know P1 had character themes is probably how unmemorable they were.
I don't know. I think Yosuke's theme fits him to some degree.
The real question here is who taught a dog to wield knives.
Maki's theme is pretty memorable.... and that's it I guess?

The P4A character themes were awesome! Especially the remix ones. My favourites:

Every character in P1 had a theme, P1P removed almost all of them.
That's because it's Meguro. His fit a lot better. He did Akihiko's, Labrys' and Shabrys' too.

I was actually referring to the discussion about battle systems. It basically read like, "It should play like a MegaTen game!" Why not just go play a MegaTen game then?

but Persona IS a MegaTen game. Megaten is what they call the whole series. Shin Megami Tensei is just SMT 1,2, Nocturne, 4. With SMT If... and Strange Journey being side games.
Yep, it's excellent. Kitajoh is so much better when he does his own thing, but in Arena's actual OST he was trying to ape Meguro and mostly failing miserably.
That and the Chie remix should have been used in the actual game.

Um, this is great.
Some of the instrument choices are a bit off, but it's a fantastic character theme.
Kitajoh should stick to his violins and pianos, and leave the guitars to Meguro and Konishi.
If you like that, you should listen to the Trauma Team OST. It's excellent.
Also this.
It's under that umbrella, but it's a separate franchise. An SMT is what I meant to say. And as you can see, there are plenty of those. Atlus has very little incentive to make P5 feel more like an SMT and we really have none to expect that given the core creative team.
Feel free to keep your hopes up, I'm just being realistic.

After the sorta rap/hip hop influences in 3, I would LOVE to see Meguro give 5's soundtrack a ala influence. Heavy on the fast paced horns and guitars, I think it would be great.
It seems like the best stuff is never in the game.
I've been meaning to do just that at some point. I always forget to.
It's because Kitajoh took his own direction with the remixes. When he does his own thing he's a terrific composer. Marie's theme in P4G is a great example of a proper Kitajoh track.
