I won't argue the quality of his storytelling or writing, just that the argument that all people who made WoW so influential in it's day are gone, that's not true. I have no expectations from Metzen's involvement now. I just don't think it can get worse with him back at the helm, the storytelling has been so egregious for so long that what's the worse that can happen? A slowly dying game dies a bit slower?

That's typically the nature of these forums in general. A lot more pessimism and negativity as of late, some of it rightfully justified in my opinion. But in general it's easier to complain than to see the positives in things.

And the ship is better than it was when he got the helm. He's not been knocking things straight out the park every time, but I feel things are better for Xbox than they were before. I also don't have a dog in the race though, so I feel less attached to the success of any of these conglomerates.

Truth is..... It's not like MSFT can make Blizzard worse than they've been. They've really kinda been oscillating between duds and scandals for like, the better part of 5+ years. On top of their player base becoming more and more disenfranchised, I just don't see how thing's will get any worse. At best, Blizzard games get added to gamepass. At worst, they stay the exact same as they've been the last 10 years or so.

Don't underestimate them.

Kotick installed an Activision exec at Blizzard who's only job was to control all production and dictate what Blizzard could or could not do based on how much Activision could monetize it.

Speaking of being consumer friendly, is MS the only one that has free cloud saves these days? I no longer have GP, and went to install and play a new game that I just played on Series X, but on the One X, and it automatically downloaded and put my save file on it with no problem. I know that both Nintendo and PlayStation require online subscriptions to use cloud saves.
