Just pulled the trigger on a LG OLED 55EG910V, paid 1480€ for it. Should be here in a few days (maybe even tomorrow), i honestly can't wait.
Any advice from OLED owners? I'm upgrading from a Sony W4000 40".
It simply can't be beaten at its price. With a 1080p source it's picture quality is astounding (but also has an excellent scaler so that 720p looks beautiful, perfectly crisp with punchy colours). Its only fault is uniformity at very low luminance full grey screen, which is a non existent problem with real world content.
My reccomendation is to check:
1) for red tinting of screen sides on a full white screen, even if 2016 sets seem to be completely tint free
2) for bad pixels, as unluckily (from my experience) they're quite frequent on oled tvs
Other than this, I suggest to relabel console hdmi inputs as "PC" from the general inputs screen for best unprocessed picture and lower input lag (also select "Game" as the picture mode to further cut it down). Set gamma to 2.4 for a punchier picture and adequate oled light to your room light conditions.
My full settings for gaming (in a dark/dimly lit room), every other setting you don't find here is either greyed out or "Off".

This set gives on itself a very plasma-like natural looking picture, set up with the settings I posted it's very similar in look to my previous Panasonic plasmas having a balanced, pleasing and not overblown picture. Colours and contrast are breathtaking.
Let me know if you like them.
