PlayStation 5 apparently broke records in Brazil Black Friday (sold '59 PS5 Eiffel Towers')

The mercado libre estimates put the numbers on that store at around 25k sold.

We’re looking for a 100-150k PS5 units sold in Brazil.

We might be looking at big numbers for November
One thing i always thought about is how emerging markets could boost these consoles overall sales so much if they weren't this expensive.

Brazil is literally close to 220M people.

Not sure how subscriptions and digital games sales are on those countries though. Let's face it...that's where these brands make the most money.

Not anymore now that USD to BRL value is skyrocketing
even with that, imo PC is a better option on the long run, for example, i wanted to buy DOS2 this black friday, the game is 27BRL( 99BRL base ) on Steam and was 80 BRL ( 249 BRL base ) on PSN , even Sony game are more cheaper on Steam then their own system, exemple GOWR is 249BRL on Steam and 349BRL on PSN and you have to pay to play online and have cloud saving, its insane.

Just imagine if Brazil had a stronger economy and an overall wealthier population. Would easily be one of the biggest markets in gaming behind only US and China.

How accessible are PSN prices for Brazilians? I live in Argentina and have to use an US account because games in the AR store were actually MORE expensive.

I thought Brazil was more of Xbox land due to GamePass and hardware cost. Thought MS had a local factory or something like that.

Also, why are we measuring things in Eifel Towers as opposed to Concords? How many Concords would it take to count all the sold PS5s?
