Wow and Ff14 are live service games.

I dont see that as a problem.

Only problem would be, if they focused on the MtX part.

There have been only a few handfuls of games that have set the world on fire more than Assassins Creed 2 (for better or for worse).

Granted, I don't know how much she was truly involved in that game, but she sure seems to be doing a good job convincing publishers that it was a whole lot.

I mean she was basically there for 2 of Ubisoft's biggest franchises with Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs. What happened at Google wasn't her fault. Before that just the previous year Starwars Battlefront II was released.

I'm just surprised because this is what i always expected to happen with Kojima Productions right after Death Stranding was released...and it never happened.

Anyway, with Sony's fiscal year ending i wouldn't be surprised if we saw another acquisition before the month is done.

I guess she needed funding for her studio after she was dropped by Google, can’t blame her for trying to secure her future.

I can’t say I’m super excited about a live service game by a producer whose last game was Star Wars Battlefront 2 but I won’t judge before I see what they come up with.

In a surprise to no one announcement the studio that was already working on a Playstation exclusive is going to be a Playstation exclusive studio.
I legit thought this was actually old news.
From the moment Haven was established they seemed to be tied to Sony.

In all seriousness, I don't think it's Home but I'd definitely be in favor of that. Home was cool and had it's head in the right place, it was just too early and didn't help that Sony was in a bit of struggle at the time.

You just can’t help yourself can you. To ignore you go. Yes Sony who has literally put out consistently great polished single player games is expanding to multiplayer games which some if not most will be service games in some form or fashion.

Your thread concern is seen as you created another GT7 thread to let everyone know how bad the practices are even though the entire community including press have covered it to death.

Thanks for informing everyone how much of a James Bond villain Sony is.

Since when has Sony bought a team that hasnt done any work for them exclusively? Not even proven they can do a good job?

I thought Sony would do the smart thing and start investing in publishers like MS has been doing, otherwise they will lose a bunch of IP’s they normally have on there platform.
Why Jade, when they could of spent the money on Kojima, From or another proven studio they have worked with before.

Stop wasting money and buy one of the publishers ffs. Im guessing this is what Jim meant by we have more aquistitions but who cares about This…. MS out there buying IP’s and publisers. While Sony buying studios like firesprite, pc porters and this… and also paying bungie to be Multiplatform…… step it up

What is the big rush to acquire them? They're already making an exclusive for you. Why not let the game come out, see how it does, then decide at that point if you want to acquire them or not. If the game comes out and it's not good, this acquisition is going to look really stupid.

Lol, let MS first make sure they can manage their own studios. If there is 1 party that people trust with dealing with studios and what they manage to get out of them it is Sony with PlayStation.

My guess is they are impressed with work in progress and want to lock in a purchase before the results jack up the price.
