Everyone hates Jim Ryan. Xbox fanbase hates it because hes trying to kill the CoD deal while moneyhatting exclusives himself. A portion of the PS fanbase hates him because hes wasting his money on moneyhatting dumb shit like this. Almost everyone hates timed exclusive content because its most likely crap. So unlike Phil Spencer threads where only the PS fanbase hates him, Jimbo gets shit on by everyone equally.

PS needs new blood and a fresh face. This is just a waste of money that could go towards a million other things fans have been asking for like Bloodborne 60 fps patch, DriveClub 60 fps patch, more first party games that are taking longer and longer to come out, and cheaper games and consoles. Dont charge us extra only to waste it all on dumb shit like this.

Answer honestly. Do you reall feel like this kind of timed exclusive content is equal to removing a game like CoD from a platform? We can argue the merrits of spending money on it but it has been something that has worked for Sony. I still do not think it is anything that any fan of either company should be getting worked up over. This kind of content will have zero impact on the health of the industry.

As for Jim Ryan. We (often whiney) gamers have issues with him. I am sure Sony corporte loves him. He is a business man and isn't pretending to be something else to win us over.

According to the leaked Village contract, Capcom were paid $5 million. For that they got the rights to put RE village themed ads on social media and TV, and an exclusive demo before the game released called "Maiden".

These are probably give or take similar as this is also an exclusive mission and some in-game items.

Funny reading some comments stating like this is not a proper exclusive, though it is, and this can't be taken as ammo for the AB acquisition, but hey let me tell you something, whether you like it or not, or no matter how hard you try to read this, this is another exclusive content for Sony for at least a year, and only some people know if there's more than that, e.g priority on game services, aka PS Plus Extra.

It's a shame really, it would have been interesting to see how far Core Design could have pushed the Saturn. I assume the sequel was possible on Saturn, although it did see a lot of improvements. I believe it wasn't long after this Core Design butted heads with Sega over Fighting Force and Streets of Rage. Core Design really came on in 1993 and 1994 once they moved on a bit from the Amiga. Very unheralded developer/publisher and longtime ally of Sega. Much as we hate it, it was a master stroke by Sony, if not a dick move at the time.

The point is MS also made deals with 3rd-parties they didn't own. They even had exclusives with Square, Capcom, Ubisoft, Tecmo, Namco.

Dead or Alive 1 and 2 were on PS then MS moneyhatted Dead or Alive 3 for Xbox launch and DO4 for 360 launch. People only talk about SF5 but MS did the same thing first. Oops
