Question for these trophies and alike

Do I need to play it 5 hours straight or is it just a total 5 hours of playing each of the characters to unlock the trophies?

It's not straight, it's cumulative.

North American PS+ Members - go get the core Instant Game Collection titles you haven't downloaded (Uncharted, Wipeout, Gravity Rush) right now, they will be removed in the next 24h.

As for buys;
  • grab OlliOlli when the store updates (NA) for $6.29 on PS+. The issues with it have been patched, and it's fantastic in small spurts.
  • go get Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational right now (NA), it's $3.25 on PS+
  • go get Fez right now (EU), it's £3.99/€4.99/$7.55 with an additional 10% discount on PS+

Honest question, if I'm a huge fan of Mario Golf, will Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational (Vita) do anything more for me that Mario Golf isn't supplying?

I've played all the "hunting" style games currently released on Vita in the West (other than the original Ragnarok Odyssey), and Soul Sacrifice Delta is clearly #1.

IMO;
  1. Soul Sacrifice Delta
  2. Toukiden
  3. Soul Sacrifice
  4. Ragnarok Odyssey ACE
  5. (Probably Ragnarok Odyssey, since it has to be worse than ACE)

Is Delta an actual jump up in gameplay over the original? I wasn't a fan of the first from the hour I gave it (not enough, I know). It seemed weightless compared to Monster Hunter.

Meanwhile, I finally got around to the Toukiden demo today and
unfortunately for the wallet
it has gone straight to the top of the buy list.

Should I give SS another shot? Does it open up later on?

Delta improved melee weapons and got rid of the ability to spam some of the offerings, which might help with the weightlessness. If you're looking for more of a MH experience, you're probably better off playing Toukiden or waiting for Toukiden Kiwami.

That ^^. I think you might be better off with Toukiden.

How many hours is Ys memories of celceta? Wanna know if i'll get at least 40 hours out of it, without trying.

I clocked 53 hours on my first play through.

What's GAF's opinion of the two AC games on sale? Is there a big improvement over the vita version for Liberation? Is Freedom Cry good?

i wish you were asking the opposite question, already had Hot Shots Golf but was wondering about Mario Golf instead

I can tell you this, Mario Golf is really freaking fun. I cannot imagine a golf game being better for me which is why I was asking about HSG. You feel the same way but switch the games?

Alright Vita and anime Gaf... I forgot about the existence of Madoka Magica: Battle Pentagram until just now. What's the general consensus on it? How does it play? Could I derive any enjoyment from it as a massive fan of the franchise?

edit: Oh, wait, isn't the game sort of dependent on the visual novel sections during the day?

I heard resogun is $9.99 this week (USA)? Just picked up a ps4, and didn't know I could buy ps4 games from the web browser that were offered on plus.

Is Resogun worth it at full price anyways?

Also how is warframe and war thunder? Are they P2W

Resogun is worth all the money. It's the best game on PS4.

id love a faster Gravity Rush on PS4

oh god im sorry vita

I <3 my Vita to death, but I kind of want Gravity Rush on my PS4, both 1 and 2. I would love to see that art style in full resolution on a big screen.

HSG is a blast. I think you'll love it but it's courses and hazards are more down to earth as opposed to the crazy stuff Mario Golf throws at you.

I'm still thinking about picking up Fez for a discounted 4.49€.

I guess there is nothing to think about or is there?
I bought it and subsequently marathoned through the entire game because I was into it.
First off, it's a great port. Secondly, it's cross-buy so PS3/PS4/VITA. Thirdly, it's a great puzzle platformer with well calibrated physics. And finally, there is a dedication behind the crafting of the lore behind each and every detail within the game that you won't find in many other games that elevates it beyond most games in the genre.

Sold! Thanks for making me spend money.

I literally just finished this game yesterday and I loved it.

Put in 36 hours first play thru on normal. Did most but not all side quests. However I pretty much fought every enemy I encountered. Some people decide to just skip them and play thrus could be shorter.

That's about what I put in. I'd recommend playing on Hard to give yourself a bit more challenge, especially with boss fights. There's also a New Game+, so there's some extra value to be had there as well.

Here's my big impressions thread.

You can pretty much skip through all of the daytime VN stuff if you want to. It's great fanservice if you do understand Japanese though.

I clocked it in around 35 hours, with virtually all of the sidequests done: there was one that just looked like busywork (talking to lots of npcs in towns for the sake of it), that I skipped, but other than that I finished with over 99% map completion. I didn't grind at all, either.

Easily one of my favourite Vita games, just thoroughly enjoyable all the way through.

My sentiments exactly.

I'd love it too and I don't even have a PS4. GR has a lot of unlocked potential waiting to be unleashed on hardware such as Sony's. I also want more people to discover Kat!

There is so much potential not only with scope, but mechanics if you were to switch to the PS4. Kat is like the face of the Vita I swear, shes DLC in almost every game that I have.

PS store updates at 1500PDT right?

Just finish my first playthrough on Muramasa. Feelin' good. Love this game more than Dragon's Crown.

Btw, not a port-begging, but can we expect EO series might come to Vita in the future? I know Demon Gaze doing good job, but sure thats not enough secure for Atlus though.
