Which Microsoft games would you buy for your PS5

The only two Xbox (franchise) games I've ever been interested in are Halo and Gears of War.

Wild that they'll one day be playable on PS5.
 
I recently bought MCC on Steam and since I already got Forza Horizon 3 & 4 as well as Hi-Fi Rush on Steam I will probably not get any Xbox games on PS5.
Since PS5 games on PS5 are limited to the DualSense I really don't like at all, I will go for the platform which allows players to use any kind of controller including xbox-style controllers, my trusty DS4's or whatever controller I fancy.

I've had access to Xbox games for years on my PC.

The only game I could see myself buying again on PS5 Pro if it gets VR support is MSFS 2020 but I doubt they will port that. Instead they will probably port the vastly inferior and shitty MSFS2024.

Gears of war and MCC. That's it

Edit: Forza as well, actually I will probably grab age of empires at some stage as well. They're the biggest 3rd party publisher now so no doubt I'll buy more and more games going forward.

I guess your reasoning is sound, the gap between PS5 & Xbox being what it is... but that would be great news for me, Fable and Indy are pretty much all I really need. I might check out Forza Horizon which looks cool, and MCC I'd be happy to play through, and if any of the Gears popped over that would be just fine... but warts and all, Fable is probably my favorite Xbox series.

Obviously need to see gameplay for the new one, though.

Yeah. Think about how long Fable has been in development, and how much it must have cost. It started development 8 years ago, in 2018. Playground started from scratch, because they had no experience in this genre. I don't think the development process has been smooth. I believe that the final game will be good, but by the time they get to the finish line, hundreds of millions of dollars will have been invested.

MS wouldn't stand a chance of making that money back, much less turning a profit, if they released Fable as an Xbox exclusive. They would be giving it away for "free" on GP, and so sales would be cannibalized on what is already a relatively small install base. They really don't have a choice but to make it multiplatform. I'm no financial analyst, but that seems obvious to me.

Plus, same studio just sent Forza Horizon over, and from what I hear, it's using the same engine that Fable does. That would make porting a lot easier.

Gears. So much multiplayer memories, playing Execution with a great group of friends on Gears 1, then Leader on Gears 2. It was perfect !
 
Only Halo: MCC and a Gears collection would be guarantees from that list. I'd pick both of those up eventually when they were on sale.

E-Day and Fable are in the "maybe" category depending on how they turn out.

Some titles that I would probably get for sure that weren't mentioned are Rare Replay and both Ori games.
 
I have a Series X which is secondary to the PS5 (now PS5 Pro). I had like 3 years of stacked Ultimate which is going to expire now in 8 days. Now that I can't stack with a bunch of cheap gold conversions anymore, I won't be renewing my game pass. I will be selling the Series X or maybe doing a trade deal for the Nintendo Switch 2 at EB Games here in Australia if they have one. I have already played everything that's currently on game pass so have no interest to pick up any of those on my PS5. I will be looking forward to Gears of War E-Day though which I will buy on PS5.
 
Halo: Master Chief Collection.

Mostly because of Halo 1, which is my favorite Halo game..
 
Probably none. If I really wanted any of those games, I would of had an Xbox, but if they do get any ports with Ps5 Pro support, then the only ones that have my interest is Gear of War E-day and South of Midnight.

I have both consoles so I don't plan on buying games that I already have for Xbox. I might, and this is a big might, give Halo a go on PS if it happens.... just because it will be weird haha.

Halo and Gears collection most likely.
Owned a 360 alongside the PS3 so got to enjoy some of them but not all.
Miss the co-op more than anything.
 
Fable is the only one i really care for.

I need to see more from gears, if it is the same formula they can say my money goodbye and i'm probably gonna pay one month of gamepass for avowed.

Also need to see more from perfect dark 2.
 
Forza Motorsport, Flight Sim, Halo.

I already have them on PC and sub to gamepass 🤷‍♂️ wouldn't rebuy them on my PS5. The sooner I can sell my PS5 the better.

No interest in both Forzas. GT7 scratches the racing itch and open world racing has never appealed to me (except burnout paradise and most wanted)

Same here, I'm starting to like Strategy games, I really like complex gameplay mechanics.
 
My initial plan was to buy a XSS for Fable, but now I'll just wait for the PS5 release.
So Fable and Sea of Thieves eventually.

One of the best jrpgs ever made that's exclusive on the Xbox 360. It was so good my best friend rushed out to get an Xbox as he's a massive jrpg fan.

The new role in the business industry, precisely post 2020, is to make huge profit easily with zero excuses. Can't find other explanations than it's become a lot easier to make money nowadays.
