I usually sign in via the trainer club thingy. It wouldn't authenticate and I've signed via Google instead but naturally then it wouldn't load my progress. Now I can't seem to get back to the login screen to try and login with my original account. How do I get back to the login screen?

Yep, works fine for me. Game still freezes at times when catching a Pokemon though.

Go in to Settings and click Sign Out.

Still 3 steps for everything.
And it seems the assumption about the berries is right. It makes the ball curve in random directions.
If it's a game mechanic, it makes berries useless because i can't hit the pokemon.

I know Pidgeys are like free levels but what's the point to keep leveling up if I still get Pidgeys?

that could mean you've seen it before but didn't manage to catch it. check the dex to make sure.

I think they disable both the pokemon tracker and the catching animation just so they can get the server back online.

Whenever that's happened to me I still get the pokemon.

it depends,there are 3 kinds of freezing glitches..one where the pokèball glitches after the "you got the pokèmon" stars,one where it just never starts wiggling after closing and just stands there,and another one where you don't even get the closeup..the ball just falls on the ground and you stay on ar mode with a little pokèmon on the ground that follows you

only wit the first glitch you get the pokèmon
