Ugh, they show you exactly where the Seafloor Cavern is when you beat the 7th gym. I don't really care as I played the originals, but way to ruin the sense of exploration for the newcomers. I loved the idea of knowing the Seafloor Cavern was somewhere in the huge, vast sea, but having no idea where to start looking. It feels especially good to just stumble on it when you aren't even looking for it.

After doing some research I find out how easy it is to run HomePass on Ubuntu but I dont have a wireless card or dongle that supports Master Mode and a reedit post pointed one out I can buy to get HomePass going on Ubuntu but now I'm sitting here wondering if I should buy the $30 WiFi Dongle on the risk that the reedit post was wrong....
So yeah, I just restarted my game from scratch because I kinda regretted not using my own name the first time. It would also bother me to the end of time that my Pokemon from X and OR would had different OT names >.>

Omg underwater trainer battles are the coolest thing. And the music when you talk to divers is beautiful.
They had people tell you which route it was in both in Mossdeep and Lilycove, probably in Pacifidlog and Sootopolis too. That was enough IMO. I guess not everyone is a fan of exploration though.

Most people hated the water routes, so this way they don't have people wandering around in them for longer than they have to and getting frustrated with the water.

Well yeah. All it really resulted in though is the player bringing a ton of repels, going to the route, diving, and then just wandering around for a while. It was a waste of time and not the fun kind of "exploring".

It's already been a long day this morning. I read that as "omg underwear trainer battles..." I was thinking WTF did they add to this game? Upon re-reading it, after forgetting I'd already read this post, trying to catch a Sharpdeo in X, I realized how horribly wrong I was.
You're right, just saw the option in the demo after talking to him.

Hmm. Is there a pokemon that gives a 2 EV? I thought it's just 1. Shouldn't it be 4 only with power items?

Power items add 4, they don't double the EVs. Also there are pokemon that give 2 or 3 EVs, but they're typically not found in the wild as commonly, and therefore aren't as good for EV training. Weepingbells in XY give 2 each, for example.

Mons give 1 to 3 EVs. Adding Power Items makes it 5 to 7, and then PokeRUS turns that into 10 to 14.
All you need to know is that with the right power item and RUS, each mon in a horde gives 10 EVs.
